Great demo. I have used this technique for a couple of years now. One thing I do that helps is I put the frames in a hot box I built and heat them to 90 degrees F. It makes the cutting go a lot faster and easier. It also help the spinning go faster. 90 degrees lets the honey flow out and does not melt the wax so the frames stay intact. Wax does build up between the blades after cutting a few so I fill a gallon milk jug with hot water and stick the blades in it between spinning's. Just shake any water off before you start cutting again. The warm blades also help with cutting. I just use a 10 dollar Proctor & Gamble electric knife. I also stand in front of the bucket holding the knife in my right hand tilting the frame forward letting the capping fall directly into the bucket. One pass and your done.

There is really no need to, it cuts super smooth. My fear for keeping the blades in hot water would be adding extra moisture to the honey. Good question though!

A regular honey uncapping knife works best if you angle it a little bit the wax rolls right off and dose it faster than this and doesn't cut into the wood like i seen you do once i know. Still everyone has their own way and whatever works best for them. Thanks for the video.
With a bit much effort, who like DIY buy a cheap electric hedge trimmer, cut the knife for proper size, use 2 drawer sliders, and using even with only scrap wood, makes a half automatic uncapper machine for 1 side of the frame, it's much faster, u hold the frame just within the 2 sidebars , here the distance remains the same, even after many many years, this will slide up and down and you fix the trimmer underneath,

Ok just keep your roller cold an yes I do know about fermentation am I have been keeping my tools cold starting in 1968 an an my moisture has never come out over 17 percent.

Do you know of a electric knife with a blade long enough to reach across a deep frame?

The angle you are holding it is wrong .. so tilt it forward to the caps dun stick to the honey

What’s headless mean. I’ve heard of uncapping a billion times but I’ve never heard of “headless” uncapping even after searching the Google machine.
