Take a 2 x 6 board, on each side, and sit the legs on them, mark the leg locations, and drill holes the diamater of the legs. Then raise the 2 x 6 boards up about 6 to 12 inches, and screw wood blocks from the botton to the floor, to hold them up. Next connect the 2 x 6's from one to the other with another board. This will take the wobble out of the legs, when uncapping,it made mine twice as strong. The entire project can be done with 20 minutes and one $4, 2 x 6 and 12 screws. This made a huge difference for me.
Thank you thank you thank you! I was looking at that on Amazon wondering if it would work. The mann lake plastic bin is crap, the metal one is expensive and was looking at alternatives. I thought though that I would have to rig a support for the frames, but you just demonstrated it holds the frames perfectly!
I usually don't supply links because they change in about 6 months, then people get mad that the link doesn't work. A 5 second search on amazon will turn up the item, even if the link changes. If 5 seconds is too much to ask, here is the link for now: tinyurl.com/y9dngwhh
RIGHT ON Vincent! Love to see the Gerry rigging that performs professional! I'm impressed.
Thanks
This is just fantastic. Thank you for sharing this.
You are welcome!
Thanks! Great Idea! More expensive now but I shopped around and found the same one $100 cheaper than Amazon

I hope it works out for you!
Sweet. The luck of the Irish was with you!
Would be easier to put a stainless steel grate in the bottom of the sink to catch most of the wax? And cloth over bucket to catch smaller pieces
Thanks for sharing!
Too cool! Thanks for sharing.

v wire false bottom
Nice!!! Thank you very much for sharing!!
The one you have....is it the 23.5" wide unit? thanks Jim
Yes. I don't know how long Amazon will be selling it, but here is the link: tinyurl.com/yykpr6ax
great info thanks. 🐝😎
How much was this sink and who did you order it from. Thanks.
I believe it was about $150 and I found it on Amazon.
Thanks so much for the reply. I will look into this. It looks perfect for my needs. Happy bee keeping and god bless!
Would it have been significantly cheaper to weld a box w/ drain and legs?
Not for me.
Excellent...almost as good as a Maxant uncapping tank at 1/3 the price.....; )
wow I want one but I'm in Canada!
They won't ship to Canada?
how many frames does it hold?
8 the way I have it set up. Without the uncapping bracket I put in there you could probably fit in three more.
I don't see the link
Click the show more button.
Of course no longer available
That sucks. You'll have to look for a different model.
Nice find! How about a link to the actual item on Amazon?
