Hello Colin Great video I hope you're well Very cleaver stuff speed matching with itrains too much for my little brain lol 🤣 Merry Christmas and all the best for 2025.
Hi Colin, very impressive 👏 👏 but to complicated for me being a technical dummy ,the layout is coming together nicely have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year cheers Al
@breintonjunction791 Hi Al I'm not that technical but one of the thing's that helps is alot of this technical i can use my hand so that help me. All the best for the new year and have a great Christmas. Colin
Hi Colin, Yes Actions and what you have done here is only the tip of the iceberg so will look forward to seeing you do lots more. I see your shed is beginning to get water stains in the corners my one is really bad I do not think its a problem but looks horrid or in mine it does. Where is the layout build going next and with the holidays coming up it will be nice to see some done but well done for where you are now. Cheers Robert.
@robertstrainset6556 Hi Robert well the plans are to wire up 24 blocks that I'm getting for Christmas going to wire up 14 point motors and get iTrain to see them, and I will have to do two more drop down panels for the hardware to go on. I'm getting a sprog so I can program all decoders on the measurement track, so then I don't need a separate programming track and then I can do it with iTrain, so then while I'm speed measuring I can tweak a cv, this will then help to speed the process up. I also what to speed measure some English trains and have some English trains running round for a change. As for the layout it self I would like to put the skeleton frame in for the big mountain up to near the ceiling which will make a big impact and for me to see if my plans for that area will work. Once again have a Great Christmas and all the best for the new year. Colin
Hi Colin! Another informative and interesting update! I really am very close to pulling the trigger on iTrain, even though I've always said I'm going to give JMRI a go first! All the best, Ian.
@iansngauge Hi Ian i believe I've only learnt about 5% of iTrain it's so exciting. Go for JMRI then you know if it works or not, first. Have a great Christmas and all the best for the new year. Colin
@@collinsngauge5493 - That's a great idea mate! I think I'll do that! Enjoy your Christmas too, and I wish you a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!
