Some might say it's overkill...I say it's bloomin' marvellous! How the hell you got that lot together on your own is beyond me...my back went just watching you! Brilliant as ever Kris, thanks for sharing.
The technology that you are teaching us, the hydro electric power for domestic use, the wind power, the building techniques, the use of sustainable agriculture is what everyone needs to learn for what is coming in the next century. It's obvious that pandemics are back with a vengeance, war, famine, pestilence and plague will be a feature of this century and unfortunately we all need to learn what you are teaching.
honestly, that single frame is probably built better and stronger then 90% of houses in my area...The level of consideration and attention to detail in your work is astonishing. Well done
It's an honor to be here; thank you. I haven't seen most of your work but I've been watching you since the beginning of your reciprocal round house. You were mad then as you are clearly mad now. I can't wait to do this myself. I fully intend to do so. Blessings
Such a pleasure to see you use real joinery, all too often I see other you tubers using screws, or a million nails, to hold frames together, this is a joy to watch. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to the next episode.
Absolute power house Kris - bloody hell those beams are so heavy for a one man lift - I'm glad you'll be able to use that end to help lift the others into place, because I was rather fearful watching your balancing act putting these up - Well done Kris like I said a pure power house of energy and determination - I so love your workmanship it brings such pleasure . Thanks You again Kris
It's nice to see even you make mistakes Kris. I've been following your travels for quite a while and your work never ceases to amaze me. A few colorful curse words here and there would liven it up a bit. I live vicariously through you.
Kris what you accomplish in your vlogs absolutely amazes me ! Watching you lift them heavy logs up I was cringing I’ve three slipped and one herniated disc. Please take care !
Doing those joints and getting everything right is a mind bender. Slightly tired of half an hour past lunch and all sorts of things can go wrong. The glazing is going to be fun. Great video.👍
This greenhouse is solid! And how fortuitous to happen upon a ground fed spring right in the greenhouse. A god sent gift. You deserve it. Your work is a thing of beauty.
It’s actually a very well written and comprehensive book ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxhgbP-6hUnXu_QRaoHgLztgsI0YF3HqR0 . I wanted to pair this with an updated book on local codes to start planning a post-retirement dream shop. I think I have just about everything I need between the two. The extra plans available for purchase towards the end are priced almost as much as full home plans, not little sheds however.
I've gone back & watched this workshop build from the beginning and I have to say I'm completely & utterly filled with envy of how quickly YOUR HAIR GROWS...not fair at all but I'll deal with it 😉 . Your shop is GORGEOUS you've done an admirable job of making it all come together in very unconventional ways. Hats off to you sir from Las Vegas Nevada
Wiping your piece while the band saw is still moving is a good way to have an accident. Sincerely, Lefty Johnson Respect your power tools, Mr. Harbour. Really enjoyed the video. I love how the property is progressing.
Props to you for gettin those 45 kilo beams to scooch upwards just enough...no handles to pull on, no other helpers, man. Feel for you sir. Incredible work. Excited for the next bent to go up. Cheers
Kris you are amazing. I love watching your wood working talents and listening to your comments. When you made the first joint I thought well that is just perfect then you commented "fits quite well"😊
I love how you're using only the wood to join each piece together, that way any expansion and contraction due to the environment and temperature is completely even and not straining against metal hardware.
It's cool to see how as you have gained experience you have started being more rough and demanding with your woodworking, instead of politely asking the wood to do what you want.
You insane beast. I have no idea how you manage to do all of this and still make videos. Thanks for keeping us entertained, and this is going to be an EPIC greenhouse!
They say Rome wasn't built in a day. It would have if you'd been on the job.............Outstanding once again. Hope you're knocking off for Christmas soon and put your feet up.
I shall be working 7 days a week right up to Christmas day. Then on christmas day i will be making the dinner, Then boxing day right back to work :) Im lucky that i love what i do. time off isnt really fun for me i just get bored.
Thought my jarrah compost bins and raised beds were enough of an accomplishment till I watched your bespoke beautiful creation of a greenhouse. So talented. Thank you for sharing you've inspired us to build our greenhouse with left over sleepers but will probs take us years as don't have your type of tools sadly.
Absolutely fantastic. Your skill and craftsmanship on this are just outstanding. That was an extremely satisfying video watching the frame come together!
That frame has a truly medieval look about it ! That will last your lifetime and beyond. The only negative thing about using such thick timbers is that they will restrict the amount if light that gets into the greenhouse. Probably not a problem in the summer, but in the shorter days the more light the better for the crops. But, absolutely fantastic.
Kris, Thanks for sharing your journey in building this really beautiful green house. I'm in Alaska and plan to build my first timber frame structure next year. Taking the time to film your work is helping me and I'm sure many others tremendously. Your a craftsman in a world that moves too fast. Your willingness to share your skills with others is most appreciated.
Nothing short of heroic this is! I am reminded of how I feel while balancing on furniture putting the christmas decs up, but obviously not quite as heavy! lol.
Truely a work of art. If I am going to build cabin someday I am gonna fly you in and let you have a go at it. Post and beam timbers are THE way to go! Great video!
Amazing job kris. I love watching your videos. The way you build things is a dying art. I know you say your learning as you go but you have talent and skill it shows. Keep up the amazing videos love them
This is beautiful work. My grandfather died before I became old enough to really ask questions about his work exactly like this. I spent a lot of my childhood in a workshop very similar to yours. This spikes my memory exactly. Just as professional but he was almost commercial, not always as handmade.
Kris, watched your vids from the beginning (roundhouse build), I am still amazed at your designs and builds. Thanks for all your efforts you put into making these vids.
It is impressive how your skills keep improving all the time. You always built things with solid function. And now you create beautiful things as well.
That's one way to do it. Trigonometry can help you do it on paper first. Deepest Respect.
I'm in absolute awe at the size of the projects you just go "yeahhh, I can handle that on my own". Top work, absolutely brilliant.
Some might say it's overkill...I say it's bloomin' marvellous!
How the hell you got that lot together on your own is beyond me...my back went just watching you!
Brilliant as ever Kris, thanks for sharing.
My thoughts too Dave, 40 years ago maybe. Regards Jim.
It is great to see a structure with NO NAILS or SCREWS. Just pure joinery and pegs. Well done mate. Good to learn and pick up tips from your channel.
Over and over......am charmed by your builds....your craftsmanship …..your problem solving.... just a WOW and a thank you for sharing!
That green house will be all that is left of humanity one day 😂
Kris had to use those sleepers for strength, that structure has to hold up grass after all.
@@runningray I thought it was going to be glass? 😜

That Natural Spring you found.....Im still in "Awe".......What a GIFT to have found that....and right where you decided to build the Green House.
Moreover, recognizing its value and putting it to good use straight away! I'd never have thought of doing that
honestly, that single frame is probably built better and stronger then 90% of houses in my area...The level of consideration and attention to detail in your work is astonishing. Well done
This guy goes through the time and effort to film his wonderful projects and people thumbs down his videos? Will never understand some people
All those who have some understanding of this endevour are sitting here holding their breath.... Well done young man, well done indeed !!! = )

It was hard to watch you struggle alone when constructing the components. Kudos to you for being man enough to better it. Lovely, lovely project.
It’s gonna be awesome, thanks Kris! 🤩👍👍👍💯💯💯
APART FROM RISKING LIFE AND LIMB TO DO THIS PROJECT, IT IS ALREADY LOOKING AN AMAZING BUILD. FROM SURREY.
Conscious. Determined. Deliberate. Effort. Combined with your knowledge, skill, strength, courage and luck! Blessings Abound!
It's wonderful you take the time doing these videos. Really enjoying them.
Such a pleasure to see you use real joinery, all too often I see other you tubers using screws, or a million nails, to hold frames together, this is a joy to watch. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to the next episode.

@13:39 scared the poop out of me lol. I just knew you were going to slice your hand. That's going to be the coolest greenhouse ever.

I am impressed. You even put that frame together in situ with a wooden mallet and elbow grease. Wow.
Amazing craftsmanship, that building isn't going anywhere.... for quite some time......!!!
Brilliant joinery there mate. Still can't fathom you were a lift installer, woodworking is your calling hands down.
awesome video and construction, thaks for sharing

Your greenhouse is going to be the best ever,
Mind your back Kris, I'm staggered by the skills and determination you show but please don't go and do yourself an injury.
This especially these days as I hear it's near impossible to get an appointment with your local surgery due to covid.
This. I used to mule around like this in my 20s too, now I am like an old man trying to get out of bed in the mornings in my 40s.
Brilliant work Kris. This is the sort of greenhouse i need to withstand the winds i get.
One word, "Craftsmanship". You are emblematic of that word. Well done. I look forward to watching you create and assemble the rest of the frame.
Nothing short of heroic this is! I am reminded of how I feel while balancing on furniture putting the christmas decs up, but obviously not quite as heavy! lol.
Your vids are getting me through 2020 Kris, love it
It’s unbelievable lucky that a natural spring was right where you wanted to make a greenhouse.
Plus that he knew how to make good use of it. Absolutely brilliant

Just found this channel today and I'm thoroughly enjoying the videos. That's a work of art sir
Wish I was there to lend a hand! Truly magnificent work Kris!
A work of art in the marking while demonstrating why medieval men rarely lived beyond their 40s.
Great stuff. Lovely craftsmanship. All the best.
1 man job for all this done, i am Impressed!
Finally someone doing something right, that will feed your off spring for generations. I love you brother
Incredible and impressive how you designed, made and put the frame together, all by yourself. Especially if you consider the weight of the beams. 💪👍
Another great video. It will look amazing when finished. Sterling work so far

Beautifull work you have done to prepare the first frame. Greetings from Poland!

The foundation looks fantastic as well as the framing!
Bloody hell Kris - can I come and live in your greenhouse Lol- no half measures there mate !
This is going to be a absolutely gorgeous greenhouse. I'm green with envy.
