I love cassandra clare! :) The Mortal Instruments is her worst series, but it's the best series to get introduced to the world. I would read the first three books, switch to The Infernal Devices, and then finish The Mortal Instruments. The last book of the Mortal Instruments does kindaaaa spoil the infernal devices FYI
