Peterborough Sports 0-1 Scunthorpe United

A trip down to Peterborough, not London Road though. This time to Lincoln Road, to watch Scunthorpe take on Jimmy Deans old team, Peterborough Sports. Last time we played out a 1-1 draw. This time, 3 points was needed just to keep Tamworth from pulling further away. Wasn’t the greatest of games, especially the first half. We gave Sports opportunities, when we didn’t need to. Luckily we scored first and the scorer Roberts a little later going off injured, looked like his hamstring 🤦🏻. Fitzsimons looked to be struggling at times too. Not what we’re needing with Tamworth visiting on Tuesday.
Second half we looked better stepped up a gear but just couldn’t hit the target. Even though we created lots of chances. Had one cleared off the line and one that was deflected just wide as well. Hopefully got all the misses out the way before Tuesday in what is a massive game for both teams.
Also cheers to the steward at the end, wishing us well for Tuesday night. Get down if you have chance, hopefully be a cracker.
