People with no control over their own lives feel the need to control others. It makes them feel superior because they have low self-esteem. Basic psychology.
When you listen to reform Jews they say the Torah was written by people who hated what their neighbours are doing. Note poly/cotton blend is against a punishable by death, I doubt many Evangelicals knows there are 613 commandments.
As long as someone isn't being indecent in public or wearing hate symbols, their clothing does not affect anyone. We wear clothes to not be naked, or to fit a certain mood or occasion. We should all be able to wear what makes us comfortable or happy.
You're the only other person I've heard use the "climb off your cross" line. First time I've heard the "build a bridge with it" follow-up. That's good advice!
When my wife and i lived in Florida, we frequently went out to dinner with cross dressers, gays and trans people, and lo and behold, during the course of the evening, I found they were just like you and me, just trying to be happy and live their lives in peace, Never once did I feel thretaned in any way by any of those fine folks. Things change when you actually get to know people as persons, not stereotypes, and you find that in the course of conversations, the hate just goes away.
@4-Methylaminor3x Yea, I keep looking for that part in the Bible where Jesus and his Disciples went around criticizing the clothes people wore, and fat-shaming people.
Just lost a neighbour and friend, a man who dressed as a woman, he didn’t give a flying fuck about what anybody thought, he lived his life on his terms, for which he had my undying respect. RIP John.
I know the dress he is referring to. It was an evening gown at the Golden Globes recently. He needed a better stylist as his shoulders and chest were too plain. I thought it needed jewelry or a cape or something. Otherwise it was a great dress and totally fit the occasion.
I've cosplayed peach It's not the same thing but again as most of us mature we do realise how arbitrary it is to get worked up over what someone you don't know is wearing I started to realise I have better things and so I hope does the rest of universe
I spend so little time wondering what’s going on in someone’s bedroom .Or what they choose to wear.I have enough trouble with my own stuff.I have a hard enough time figuring out what I’m going to wear.I can’t pick someone else’s wardrobe too😂
it has to be that, in reality, they're actually getting other feelings that they're uncomfortable with - like attraction, maybe envy. i don't understand pajamas at the grocery store but it's more i worry about their health (picking up germs galore) and hope they aren't wearing the same outfit to bed. but i just turn my head and mind my own business, such an easy thing to do.
I wear slippers out in public a lot and I know I get "looks" sometimes. I have damages on one leg and foot that aren't easily visible that cause pain when I wear real shoes for any length of time. I'm past worrying about the looks and am just glad to be out.
@@christinec4919 slippers aren't as weird for me - i have to assume they're not going intp the bed like pajamas would. but the floors are chock full of all kinds of yuck, it's why so many take footwear off at their doors. i swear i'm not a germophobe but what i've learned has me shudder. even various feces
What's stopping you?? Or just first wear it around your house until you feel comfortable. There's a guy in Texas, I think, that wears skirts and heels or boots. Even open toe shoes. He even wears those to work. I forget what he does but it's not an office job. And he's in his 50s and married.
In Oregon, a small town mayor, male, who stood over 6 foot tall dressed like a woman, high heels, fancy outfits and makeup. No one gave a shit, was a great mayor. Grow up people, please😊
I look terrible in an evening gown. But I gotta admit that pantyhose are sorta cool. And it's not even "new". Men wore tights all the time way back in the middle ages.
A lot of the stuff men wore hundreds of years ago would be considered effeminate now. I've seen some of the outfits. Just bananas to us what they wore but not to them. Not back then.
I would have to agree with the original statement, although I would be less specific: "Liberalism = people can do whatever they want as long as it doesn't hurt others."
IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, DON'T LOOK!!! That's been my motto for a VERY long time!! If what SOMEONE ELSE wears hurts YOU that much, then you've got much bigger problems and NEED serious HELP!!! The person wearing what you're offended by, is CLEARLY THE BETTER PERSON, CUZ they don't care that you've got an issue with it, and it doesn't hurt them AT ALL!!! Your OPINION DOESN'T hurt or help them in any way so they don't care!!! That's a lesson you should learn!!! IDIOT, I swear!!! 😂😂😂
They get equally opinionated over hair color, too, for some odd reason. It's fine, to them, for someone to bleach their hair an unnatural fake blond, but be a little creative and choose a different color and they turn on the judgment and hate. No one is forcing them to color their hair or to wear clothes they don't feel comfortable in, but they sure want to control other people's choices. It's illogical and hypocritical of their cries for "freedom".
Life is too short to get mad at people doing things you don’t understand. My life hack: when you get uncomfortable, just ask yourself: is this really hurting anyone? As for men wearing dresses… no one is getting hurt so why care?
A turn-off to me is the people wearing trump merc and faces painted like clowns. They expect us to be ok with the hate they represent. But that's their business, not mine. If a guy wants to do gorilla drag, that's his business. Leave him alone. As for guys in skirts, there's plenty of guys with beard that wear them. They're called kilts. They look handsome and manly. Stop being petty and move on. Like Walz said, mind your own damned business.
I don't know why, but I pictured this commenter saying the same thing to a judge wearing his robe in court and being charged with contempt of court. Haha!
The commenter sounds like he thinks he is the center of the universe. He sounds like he is super privileged and in other people's business. Who cares about his opinions? His opinions and $7 will get him a latte in Hawaii.

Ironically, Tom’s generalization about conservatism is wayyy more accurate than the complete nonsense from the poster.
I couldn't imagine living my life being offended or triggered about what others are wearing. Just seems very strange to me.
@4-Methylaminor3x Yea, I keep looking for that part in the Bible where Jesus and his Disciples went around criticizing the clothes people wore, and fat-shaming people.
Because you're actually living your life.
I find it interesting he was specific about the evening gown. Instead of just saying dress in general. Being specific is a window into his sexuality.
Just lost a neighbour and friend, a man who dressed as a woman, he didn’t give a flying fuck about what anybody thought, he lived his life on his terms, for which he had my undying respect. RIP John.
❤❤❤
Sorry for your loss.
Well, Tim Jackson knows the difference between a Dress and an Evening Gown.
IDGAF what other people wear. Just stay out of my way. I have things to do.
"Get off your cross and build a bridge" is the greatest thing I've heard this year.
Get em Tom

How dare he diss JVN! He looked spectacular in that gown. He's also one of the nicest people around.
Trumpanzee = Insulted by everything, responsible for, and embarrassed by nothing.
Exactly right. I don’t care what anyone else wears as long as they’re comfortable.
I spend so little time wondering what’s going on in someone’s bedroom .Or what they choose to wear.I have enough trouble with my own stuff.I have a hard enough time figuring out what I’m going to wear.I can’t pick someone else’s wardrobe too😂
I dont have a problem with a guy in an evening gown.
I do have a problem with a guy in a red hat (unless its a sports team or something).

Here, let me help. They find it very attractive.
Bro gowns and frocks and hella comfy. Totally not socially acceptable for me to wear, wish guys could wear whatever they want.
What's stopping you?? Or just first wear it around your house until you feel comfortable.

I'm 6'2" 220 lbs., Liberal, and I wear Footy pajamas! They're called snug as a bug and they're comfortable AF!
I look terrible in an evening gown. But I gotta admit that pantyhose are sorta cool. And it's not even "new". Men wore tights all the time way back in the middle ages.

If I got this kind of hate mail, I would be laughing my ass off every day!
Cross dressing has been going on forever and he just noticed. Of course men were in an uproar when women wore pants.
For centuries.

It's seriously the most ridiculous thing ever. That's how mediocre people behave, though.
Somebody wore one at one of the award shows.

Again.....obsessed over other peoples' choices.
Get a life I do not shave my head or grow a beard and so what neither I do want the power to dictate what anyone wears as well !!!
Wasn't there a time that gals didn't wear pants? 🤔
Damn, Jesus and the disciples, all wore long dresses. Oops, time for a new bible.
Honestly
Sorry to be off topic, but how is the government banning Tik Tok not a violation of the first amendment?
TikTok is a privately owned company.
@justincapable but the government banned it.
Answer these questions:
Who owns TikTok?
What country is that company from?
What is that country's political stance on its companies?
What is your opinion on that country's government?
🤬
Oh jeez, wait till this dude realizes that conservatives are liberals too.
Not the same type of liberal I don’t think, but yeah
