  • Five years ago, we commemorated 100 years since the end of the First World War by unveiling a statue at the entrance of Manchester Piccadilly Station. Named Victory Over Blindness, it stands as a monument to all the veterans we have supported since then.
This year, we came together at Manchester Piccadilly once again, for a meaningful ceremony including a wreath laying and piper playing to mark this important anniversary. Joined by our “living statue” made up of staff, volunteers, and blind veterans. The seven living figures mirroring the now iconic sculpture, then marched through the station and city throughout the day.
