If your farm stops working observe the villagers, give each of them a different job and see which ones sleep if you see only one or two sleeping replace all of the beds and the farm will start to work again
i would recommend 2 things: - Put a slab on top of the zombie bc hoppers are transparent. During the day the zombie gonna take dmg, like half hearth and eventually dying - Build a 9x10 plataform so golems cant spawn in the floor and hurt the efficiency of the farm

This farm works. Thanks, but right now the main issue is the spawning for the golem is pretty sporadic and will spawn down below sometimes. So for anyone who is reading this, BUILD THAT THING HIGH UP!

And you can always just set up a bunch of these and leave them active while you do stuff around your area. Cause if I’m right you don’t have to be afk just within a certain distance.

This farm still works on Java, however all beds must be fully accessible to the villagers (do not put it under the glass) top side of all beds facing away from the zombie. If you don't have a name tag for the zombie, throw dirt blocks at the zombies you're hunting until one of them picks it up and bring that one back with you to your farm. Placing temporary dirt 4 or 5 spaces above where your zombie will be will give you extra time to finish putting in the water so you're zombie doesn't die in the daytime, remove it after the water is placed. Hope this helps :)
It's way too easy (at least from my experience), I thought it was too hard when seeing most youtubers having a hard time with them but it was way too easy for me using work stations, minecarts and boats, especially boats
From my experience its nearly impossible my village has a ton of cliffs next to it and not water connecting to my base and i dont have the amount of rails cuz my village is far from my base and im an idiot so i dont know how to use nether portals
@@Man_fard772 do you have a zombie spawner close to your base, if so try getting 2 zombie villagers from there and cure them, then *immediately* create a villager breeder(it's much easier than what you think) and get infinite villagers

Still works perfectly on 1.18.1 / I got 144 iron ingots and 45 Poppy in 30 minutes. It's so easy to build and gets you great amount of Iron for such a small easy farm. Would recommend :D

Tip for anybody in Java 1.18 that had their farm suddenly stop working. Monitor the villagers at night, if one of them isn't sleeping break and replace the bed and that should fix the farm.
@@blizzy3332 Yes, set this farm up on our new world. It worked for about 4 or 5 double chests of Iron Blocks then stopped suddenly. Turns out one of the villagers wasn't able to sleep at night and replacing the bed fixed the farm.

Quick Tip: You can find a zombie that can hold an item, instead of a nametag, to make it easier. How you ask? Just throw a item at different zombies until one picks the item up. Then lure it into the farm like the video says!!
Fantastic farm, however, there's something EXTREMELY important that isn't mentioned: There's a good reason why he built it around a body of water. You have to make the area around the actual farm either filled with 2 blocks deep of water or slabs. If you don't, and there's normal land around your spawner, you'll just get iron golems spawning everywhere AROUND the capture area, thus decreasing the yield. If you fill the surrounding area with 2 block deep water or slabs, it'll funnel all the spawns into the capture area because golems can't spawn. From the edges of the capture area, build the slabs/water out 16 blocks in all directions and connect it in a square. This should do the trick.
you should put the collection system in the villager chamber so that after they get terrified for their life and summon a protector, they can see the dead flesh of their savior as they get terrified once again, restarting the cycle of torment!

I am also intrested in this - I guess the spawning platforms would have to be 17 blocks far away of each other. Becouse villager will not spawn new golem when there is one in range of 17 block, I think. Do not know if I am correct.
The hopper above the zombie is a transparent block. So when I built this my zombie died in the daytime. Easy enough to fix. I just put a solid block (stone) above the zombie's head, just under the hopper.
The latest version only. The minecraft wiki is helpful to tell you what works and what doesn't. Also don't follow Shulkercraft and support the original creators instead

@@lordsaphire Follow shulker crafts for a good tutorial and follow the people he credits to see how it works. I know a lot of the time that creators of these kind of farms don't give a full tutorial, but rather the basic overview of the farm
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: you need to add a slab right under the hopper, otherwise the zombie will die after few minecraft days. make sure it is upper slab under the hopper block, if u place lower, the villager sometime wouldn’t be scared so no iron golem will spawn, it will still work, but the efficient will be only 20% of the upper slab

@@ryanlichiwai Just a small tip! You can drop any junk item for the zombie to hold and it won't despawn even if it isn't named. I made him hold a birch plank, way cheaper! :D

Hey guys. I just figured out why my two villagers aren't breeding. The zombie is interrupting the mating process so knock out the side piece of glass and place blocks on the slabs and feed the villagers if you haven't already. Should make a third so take out the extra slabs and add the glass back and you'll be ready to rock.
I'm having trouble getting this to work on the box (1.18), I built it exactly like it showed with the only difference was I used cobblestone instead of stone brick, and my villagers didn't lose their jobs when I took them away, since they spawned pretraded.
I have one request and want everyone to support me on this one- Could you please do Bedrock edition Tutorials for farms, cuz some of these do not seem to work for some reason in Minecraft pocket edition.
Pocket edition needs 10 villagers and a zombie for iron farms to work when I once played bedrock edition I learnt it the hard way after building a large iron farm and it wasn't working
try checking that where the golems spawn maybe they're spawning but in cave etc... if its the problem place carpets around the farm and in the nearest cave.. hope it helps

if you have a village far away from where you want to build the farm use boats and a redstone machine

Tip for anybody in Java 1.18 that had their farm suddenly stop working. Monitor the villagers at night, if one of them isn't sleeping break and replace the bed and that should fix the farm.

@@blizzy3332 Yes, set this farm up on our new world. It worked for about 4 or 5 double chests of Iron Blocks then stopped suddenly. Turns out one of the villagers wasn't able to sleep at night and replacing the bed fixed the farm.
@@gustavofring2968 Don't think this works on Bedrock. If you built the farm as shown then the blocks will stop the zombie from dying in the daylight.

Quick Tip: You can find a zombie that can hold an item, instead of a nametag, to make it easier. How you ask? Just throw a item at different zombies until one picks the item up. Then lure it into the farm like the video says!!

Fantastic farm, however, there's something EXTREMELY important that isn't mentioned: There's a good reason why he built it around a body of water.
You have to make the area around the actual farm either filled with 2 blocks deep of water or slabs. If you don't, and there's normal land around your spawner, you'll just get iron golems spawning everywhere AROUND the capture area, thus decreasing the yield. If you fill the surrounding area with 2 block deep water or slabs, it'll funnel all the spawns into the capture area because golems can't spawn.
From the edges of the capture area, build the slabs/water out 16 blocks in all directions and connect it in a square. This should do the trick.

You can also give the zombie an item to prevent it from despawning, just drop him a dirt block and if he picks it up he wont despawn
you should put the collection system in the villager chamber so that after they get terrified for their life and summon a protector, they can see the dead flesh of their savior as they get terrified once again, restarting the cycle of torment!

Sometimes there are no golems spawning anymore, the villagers no longer get scared
The zombie's line of sight should not be blocked i.e if you have placed any block or half slab at the zombie's head level, remove it. It will work.

I am also intrested in this - I guess the spawning platforms would have to be 17 blocks far away of each other. Becouse villager will not spawn new golem when there is one in range of 17 block, I think. Do not know if I am correct.

The hopper above the zombie is a transparent block. So when I built this my zombie died in the daytime. Easy enough to fix. I just put a solid block (stone) above the zombie's head, just under the hopper.

@@lordsaphire Follow shulker crafts for a good tutorial and follow the people he credits to see how it works. I know a lot of the time that creators of these kind of farms don't give a full tutorial, but rather the basic overview of the farm
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: you need to add a slab right under the hopper, otherwise the zombie will die after few minecraft days. make sure it is upper slab under the hopper block, if u place lower, the villager sometime wouldn’t be scared so no iron golem will spawn, it will still work, but the efficient will be only 20% of the upper slab

@@ryanlichiwai Just a small tip! You can drop any junk item for the zombie to hold and it won't despawn even if it isn't named. I made him hold a birch plank, way cheaper! :D

Hey guys. I just figured out why my two villagers aren't breeding. The zombie is interrupting the mating process so knock out the side piece of glass and place blocks on the slabs and feed the villagers if you haven't already. Should make a third so take out the extra slabs and add the glass back and you'll be ready to rock.

I'm having trouble getting this to work on the box (1.18), I built it exactly like it showed with the only difference was I used cobblestone instead of stone brick, and my villagers didn't lose their jobs when I took them away, since they spawned pretraded.

try checking that where the golems spawn maybe they're spawning but in cave etc... if its the problem place carpets around the farm and in the nearest cave..
