    Thank you for everyone who tuned into the premiere! We hope we did a good job expressing the things we love.... and the things that we don't about our Texas Pride: Reeving Roll off trailer! What would you like us to have done differently? Any questions about it we didn't answer?

    Great video Joe!
    I’ve been fully operational since October 2023 with the TP 16k proprietary rail system. Let’s see what my year brings me.
    I’ve had some hiccups, but nothing a phone call to TP fixed. Their support so far with me has been outstanding.

      The good thing about 47” TPride rails is a LOT of trailer guys run them. Easy to buy/sell when you need to. You’ll want to consider preparing for 36” eventually if you want to end up in a hooklift truck, but if that’s not important to you the 47” rails are a great long term option. Just something to consider before you hit a real stride and grow your inventory very large.

    Gotta say, very glad I found my Pro-Tainer. Was leaning towards TP for the reasons you did, but the PT option presented itself. The PT is a beast. One big difference I noticed are TP's hydraulic cylinders. They use smaller, tie-rod cylinders which I'm not a fan of. The uncovered engine on top isn't a great thing either, not sure why they couldn't cover it.

    Great video! keep an eye on the rear axle leaf spring mounts. There’s a plate welded in the leaf spring hanger that the leafspring rides on to set ride height . overtime that plate will fail, causing your axle to ride on the frame.

      @@MAXCODumpsters I do. Started off with a Bison gooseneck and 3 bins 16 months ago. Now i run a Freightliner M2 and 30 bins. 2023 was my first full year and did 975 rentals. My wife does the sales/admin and i drive. I have a lot to say about the transition from a trailer to a truck. Heck, i have a lot to say about the entire biz being that i came from the financial space in an office for 20 years. I think the more rural areas are fine with a truck/trailer, however, in the more metro locations a truck will make you more money. Sure, it's pricey but the efficiency and the presence will make you more money. People judge, it's human nature. Once that is understood then you can capitalize on it. Oh, and i'll never ever offer online booking on my website. Very unpopular position that i have! haha. Keep the vid's going!

    What’s your opinion on taking the gas tank off and going with a boat gas tank in the bed of the truck with a fuel line ran up to your motor

    • @MAXCODumpsters
      @MAXCODumpsters  7 місяців тому +1

      The idea of running a fuel line from the truck to the trailer sounds a bit sketchy, but I couldn’t really say. I’d be concerned about it getting pinched and breaking.
      I’m 6’ 2” and young enough that climbing around the truck bed isn’t really a problem for me. If your concerned about refuel, id probably go the route of keeping a 5 gallon fuel can and a step stool next to where I park it, and refuel every morning/night.

    @whitestrashdumspters 7 місяців тому +1

    I have a 14' TP 18k derated to 16k reeving bumper pull, and I agree completely with your assessments. When the TP salesman was showing me how to use it at their shop, a hydraulic line blew and sent a geyser of fluid everywhere. A few hours later it was fixed and I was on my way back to FL. At a rest area in LA I noticed the d-ring on the cable was gone. It had been hooked snugly on a rail when I left. They shipped me a new cable. Both bed lift rams leaked fluid, so they shipped me new ones. The brackets around those rails snagged on the dumpsters and bent over. I had to cut those off. TP sent me new ones. The auto tarper arms sit crooked like yours, and the canvas unrolls as I drive. I had to bungee it for the ride home to FL.
    They do stand behind their products, but all of this could have been avoided if their QC team had tested the trailer with a loaded can before delivery. If that d-ring had fallen off while I was loading or unloading a can at a job, someone could have been killed.
    My big gripe with the design is the location of the spare. It is located on the mast, above the pump and will be a backbreaking MF'r to pull down when I need it. The tool box lids are crap and not water or dirt tight. The tarper battery is smack in the middle of one box and is in the way of everything and the location exposes the wires to snags.
    All in all, its a solid trailer now that all the QC issues were resolved.

    • @MAXCODumpsters
      @MAXCODumpsters  7 місяців тому

      Every person I know has their own version of poor quality control and great support after the fact. They’d make so much more money if they just did the stuff right the first time. It’s an odd process in my opinion, but it seems that’s the route they’re content on.
      Thanks for sharing your experience and I hope your trailer works out well for you from here!
