  • A series was recently released on Netflix about Jeffrey Dahmer. In the last episode of the series, it highlights that while in prison, Jeffrey Dahmer had an apparent conversion to Christianity. Was this a genuine conversion? Could someone like Jeffrey Dahmer really have the opportunity to be saved after the horrible sins he committed? That's what I'll be discussing in this episode.

WhaddoyouMeme did an interview with the pastor. It’s fascinating insight by itself, and hit me especially as a nondenominational Protestant becoming Catholic.

My opinion is that I honestly don’t know if it’s a conversion. All I know about is from Christian UA-camrs. If he is saved and was in heaven we need to know if he checked off the boxes for eternal life. Steve Ray talks about being saved the Bible way. Jessie blood, Jesus righteousness, coming to the knowledge of the truth, baptism, Eucharist, repentance, faith, continuing to work out his salvation, grace, and his cross. If he fulfilled all these then he is no doubt in heaven or at least in purgatory.

Be it known: through the Holy Spirit, God has put it on me to preach to those lost in the devil's deceit!
Hear me when I say, ye that are Catholic have been deceived and know not God. Ye worship Mary, praying to her; when God tells his to worship none other than him. It is idolatry.
Catholicism has it's own Bible and teachings, which are blasphemous to the word of God: the Holy Bible. As ye follow the teachings of man and not God; ye hear the pope, but not Jesus, yet ye claim to be his disciples!
These are but a few things I named ye dwell within; there are many more. I tell you now to repent of your sins, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and you'll receive the gift of the Holy Spirit upon asking the Father!
There are *NO* sub-divisions of Christianity. You're either a disciple of Christ or not. A Christian is someone who follows God's word, not a religion. Who obey the Father and follow his will; not man's nor their own heart's. Unless you keep Jesus' commandments, think not the Holy Spirit will dwell within you!
They who heed this message and did what was stated with an open heart to God...
Read the Holy Bible (KJV) daily and every time before you read, pray to the Father and ask:
"Lord I ask that you give me understanding of your word, that I interpret it the way you want me to, and none of my own. I ask you in Jesus' name, amen."
      Revelation 22:8-9 KJV
8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.
9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
      Acts 2:38 KJV
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
      Luke 11:13 KJV
13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
      John 14:21-24 KJV
21 *He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.*
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, *If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.*
24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and *the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.*
      3 John 1:11 KJV
11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. *He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.*
      1 John 3:6-10 KJV
6 *Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.*
7 Little children, let no man deceive you: *he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.*
8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9 *Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.*
10 *In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God,* neither he that loveth not his brother.

I think it's otherwise. You see, when Jesus was nailed on the Cross, there were two thieves hanging with Him. The other thief wasn't guilty and made fun of Jesus further. On the other hand, the other thief was faithful in Jesus. It might have been the only time he and Jesus met, but undeniably, the thief's faith was so great that even others were mocking Jesus. He didn't. From that moment, Jesus instantly realized the thief's faith and told him that from that day on, he will be in Heaven with Him.
Now i think that's the greatest evidence in the Bible that Faith is the only way to Heaven. Of course, good works that our faith bear from is important too. But i think the most fundamental thing here is faith and God's grace. I mean, for Jesus to accept the thief, it didn't need to take the thief to need to go be Baptized yet, go to Chruch yet. All Jesus needed was faith. So for me, as long as Jeffrey was actually genuine and sincere with his faith, then it's possible he's accepted.

@Sean Hussey Hello Sean, I’m new to your channel and have been catching up on the videos. I really like the video when your wife spoke about converting from being Protestant to a Catholic. One area I wish you guys covered was the rapture. I know what Protestants believe but I don’t think Catholics recognize or believe in the rapture . What was your wife’s take on this and how did she work through it? Does she still believe in the rapture?

When I saw the title for this sharing, I was 😮, mostly because its so deep!!I was thinking ..."all sin" separates & divides people from God and one another & grave/mortal sin often destroys countless lives in its wake...so this video almost needs a part 2...how long could he or others that commit heinous crimes, like abortion/euthanasia doctors for example...be in purgatory...

I hadn’t heard this about Jeffrey Dahmer. I hope it’s true. Only God knows the true heart of any of us. There’s an old song “we fall down, but we get up“ and it expresses the lives of all of us. Jesus said the way to heaven is hard. None of us knows what we could be capable of in certain circumstances. The story that really blew me away was about Rudolf Höss who was commandant of Auschwitz for years and during the time when Maximilian Kolbe was martyred and was responsible for the deaths of millions. After the war while Höss was waiting to be executed he repented of the way he lived his life, asked for a priest and returned to his Catholic faith. Certainly he would probably need to spend time in purgatory but no matter how much time that would be at least it isn’t forever in hell.

Yo cannot earn heaven, is a gift
but you sure can loose it .
    Im afraid some Christians believe
That we Catholics we need to do works to gain heaven,
At the same time is goin to be a stumbling block for many because they wouldnt like to feel like they are earning heaven , they already feel they cannot loose heaven because is a gift.

Christians would rather believe a monster like Dahmer is in heavenly glory WHILE they believe that the person who worked for peace, who raised funds for the hungry, who spent their life committed to uplifting humanity - but didn't happen to sign on to your Jesus (not his actual name) that that person is being tortured in an eternal conscious torment and that it's just punishment. That makes you cold bloodless soulless people.
