Best review and demo of this unit I have found. One thing I don't like is the app only seems to work on 2.4ghz wifi, not 5ghz. So, you either have to split your network or downgrade it to 2.4. Since it can detect carpet and increase suction accordingly, I wish it could also turn off mopping when on carpet. Doesn't seem that hard to do.
Yes, a lot of these sorts of machines will only run on 2.4gh wifi annoyingly, I tend to split my bands, and have 1 for smart tech and 1 for everything else
@@randymarsh9101 working great. I mop and vac once a week. Easy to clean out bin. They've done 2 software updates. I like the Smart feature and you can check the map for progress. Having had 2 back surgeries it makes my life easier. No need try motivating my husband for these jobs!
I have one, I never noticed this black carpet issue cause I don't have one. to me, the mopping is amazing too. But usually I use the medium water setting.

@@bytesizeclu hi, I found some advice to stick up the sensors with a usual sticky tape or plaster, so they will be out of order! I don't think those sensors are in need in a one floor flat.
Hi, thanks for the great review I'm hoping you can help me, when I bought this vacuum from amazon, it says in the description that it has a zig zag mode, radom mode, edge mode and spot mode but I cannot get it to do zig zag, it just does random all the time, do you have any idea how I set it to do zig zag?
If anyone has the same problem as me, ive figured it out, all you need to do is power it off by holding the power button for a few seconds and power it back on again, it should then do zig zag pattern instead of random
Any update on the black carpet issue, yet??? Also with the mopping - do you put any sort of detergent in the reservoir? I have wooden floors and use Flash "Wood Floor Safe'" detergent for manual mopping them.
Anyone know how to use this vacuum with alexa or Google assistant, the seller says it connects to both but ive tried everything with no success, im starting to think the sellers are lying and you can't use it with voice control 😐 ive searched everywhere for an answer
I would suggest connecting the hover to the Smart Life app (this is what the honiture hoovers are built on) they allow within the settings to connect Alexa and Google assistance
this thing is utter junk. App wouldn't work and the afersale aupport is only via email and very poor, not resolving the issues so sending back to Amazon. Avoid the hassle and don;t buy in the first place.
@bytesizeclu their customer/after sales service is non existent. Indicative of a throw away society we live in now. I would strongly suggest that this company or any consumer electronics company for that matter that doesn't offer a phone number or live chat to customers to steer clear of.
Is it though? the review pointed out the flaw, so surely that makes it a good review as its something to keep in mind when purchasing. After a update from Honiture it does now work fine as well.

I've had an Ecovacs 710 for a few years now. Any smart device, ( and I have quite a few) , can/and/or/WILL, disengage from your router, or your router will cause it to drop off when it re-allocates an IP address. No escaping that. My deebot just dropped off the network and now I have to reinstall it. Good thing it has a remote, I can use the remote and reinstall it when I feel like it. But dang, I do have to get up out of the chair and find the remote and hit the buttons. Such a drag.🤣 Very weird about the black carpet indeed.

Good review I definitely prefer my Eufy G30 but this would make a very good second device for the upstairs landing and cupboards
G20 has 3500Pa is super strong, Eufy G30 has 2000Pa, G30 is not so strong.

Sadly it will just stop and refuse to clean asking you to ‘move away from the edge of the cliff’

As of right now no, it's still a little scared of darker rugs! I personally don't use detergent but you totally could
