- Maldives President Muizzu Thanks PM Modi for Rs 30 Billion Financial Aid
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu issued a joint statement during Muizzu's first bilateral visit. PM Modi highlighted that India has always been a "first responder" in case of any issue faced by the Maldives. PM Modi further spoke about India's support to Maldives to boost its housing schemes. He said, "Today, more than 700 social housing units built with India's cooperation have been handed over (to Maldives). To strengthen economic relations, we have decided to initiate discussion on Free Trade Agreement." Later, Muizzu thanked PM Modi-led government for Rs 30 billion support, USD 400 million bilateral currency swap agreement. He said, "I’m thankful for the Indian government’s decision to provide support in the form of Rs 30 billion, in addition to a $400 million bilateral currency swap agreement, which will be instrumental in addressing the foreign exchange issues we are facing right now."

Before commenting, you should have done some research to educate yourself and back up your “claims”. You wouldn’t even have to read a lot, since google can now dumb it down for idiots like you.
And before you start talking about how sources can be biased or be a conspiracy against India and its “growth”, i would advise you to go through Niti Aayog’s research on multidimensional poverty. Its our government agency and also has year on year statistics on the poverty rate. The moment you read that your argument of “NOBODY LIVING IN POVERTY IN INDIA” falls flat on your face. Furthermore, there are crores of people still dependant on ration, so much so that Modi during his campaign runs even pledged to put more people on it. If there weren’t any poor people we wouldn’t have to do that.
Today, the internet that people get doesn’t determine the economic status of people, since technology has become more accessible. Even amazonian communities who still lead primitive lives have internet.

I am from India and I’m actually glad that the Maldives is reducing its dependence on India and also limiting the number of Indian tourists. I’m planning to go on vacation to the Maldives after my current trip to Bangladesh and I believe it will be safer, cleaner, with fresh air, less crowded, and completely safe for women to travel alone, even at night

@@ivak1000 I don't speak the same language that the PM speaks. India has 26 official languages and I only speak 2 (one of them is English, the bridge language for the entire country). Looks like you've learnt the language that the Indian PM speaks, but missed out the language that most of the world speaks (English), that I had to translate thro Google translate to understand what you'd written, while the same option doesn't exist for a video. Hence requested for a subtitle to help understand what he was talking about.
