Whether Indian tourists go to Maldives will depend not on the Indian government but on Indians feeling safe and welcome in Maldives. I don't see Indian tourists returning en masse unless Maldivian behaviour changes dramatically and remains that way for a long time.

Why the hell should India give any economic aide to such a thankless country as Maldives? Let the government do what it thinks necessary but we, the people of India should try to avoid visiting that country. Instead, go to either Lakshadweep or Andaman islands.
