- We live in an age when geneticists are working to advance our life span and improve our quality of life-but are we also inadvertently engineering the sixth mass extinction in the Earth’s history? Join physician and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Siddhartha Mukherjee (The Emperor of All Maladies) and fellow Pulitzer winner Elizabeth Kolbert (The Sixth Extinction) for a fascinating dialogue on life and mortality, from the human to the planetary scale, moderated by Dartmouth theoretical physicist and ICE Director Marcelo Gleiser. Will living longer lives redefine what it means to be human, and how much will it matter if our planet itself is in peril?
Presented by the Institute for Cross-Disciplinary Engagement at Dartmouth College.
Recorded at the 92nd Street Y, New York City on Thursday, October 4, 2018

have you read the Tibetan Book of the Dead. UA-cam has some documentaries on it and Peter Fenwick is a British Neuropsychiatrist who is world expert on Near Death Experiences and Death Phenomenon. It's taboo to talk about in most societies.
Who thinks they will exploit the mammoth
I agree that we should be allowed to modify our genes in order to eliminate a lot of suffering and disease. These advances will allow us to grow our own food just like solar panels will allow us to get our own energy. Evolution is the name of the game, and we will be replaced by something better if we don’t become better. Ethics depend on your perspective, and I disagree with her perspective, I see it as very narrow and outdated. Overpopulation is caused by lack of education and technology, once women around the world are educated, develop better contraceptives, the population problem will fix itself.
Prove that my babies were not transferred to a man that think they own what I was gifted by God
Were not supposed to eat meat
That's when you lose humanity
All the profits knew God would be back
Money and gain is not a reason to do it
Irony
You cant kill God
A woman holds her baby and her grandbabies at one time and it too is a parasite
You veen trying and it back fired
