Dr. Fuhrman is my favorite plant based doctor. 11 years ago I read Eat to Live. I followed his nutritarian diet, lost 66 pounds in 9 months, got rid of high blood sugar, high cholesterol, pre-diabetes, hormonal issues- and avoided medications. I feel enormous gratitude to him! We did not have nearly as much information back then. Since then I’ve read all the plant docs and followed the research. The nutritarian plan stands the test of time. I have read all Dr. Fuhrman’s books. They are all good! The cookbooks are great too. His daughter also has an excellent book.
Wow. I think this is my favorite session EVER with Dr. Fuhrman!🙌🏼💗 The questions were excellent and relatable and his answers and discussions were total genius!🤓 Thank you both!!🙏🏻 I’m actually amazed at how many of these questions have been in my mind.
Dr Fuhrman is my favorite doctor. He answered a question about low WBC of which I have 3.36. My regular doctor was very concerned with my low number. My ears perked up when I heard that question. I will share this video with my doctor to show her that I’m doing great with WFPB eating.
Thank you, Chef AJ❤️ Dr Fuhrman is an extraordinary human being, and it’s always a privilege to be able to listen to him. Looking forward to next Sunday…
Dr Fuhrman has been a great pioneer in the plant food world. Thank you Chef AJ and of course Dr Fuhrman for your contributions to help us live our healthiest lives.
I like that Dr. Furhman admits to overeating a bit at night or to reach for the white bun at the restaurant and he gives his kids permission to stop him.
Though your credibility did not need any help, it soared for me when the Dr didn't engage in "pearl clutching" over the question regarding adding in animal products for specific conditions. What a great discussion!
Congratulations on promoting your new book and traveling around Will you be coming to Austin Texas and possibly speaking about your book at book people? I assume if you’re coming to Austin that you will be meeting up with Lauren Bernick and I would love to meet both of you. If you are able to, please share your schedule when known..
Think I got to watch all of this tonite, just found it before it came on....he was good tonite too, but some words kinda hard to make out what he's saying....what was the other Bread he said, sounded like MANA BREAD.....is that correct ? Thank you Chef AJ.....But I still need to go back and listen again to some things he said....I enjoyed this one very much also....7/7/24
Love this. Thanks AJ. You are the best. You are such a beautiful, healthy, vibrant woman. I love you. Dr. Fuhrman is my fav plant-based doc. I love him also.
This show had a question pertaining to dry, cracked feet. It is my understanding that the changing levels of estrogen in perimenoupuase and menopause impact our capacities to retain moisture and slow down our bodies oil production. It's possible that this a contributor to the dry, cracked, callous feet that was asked about on this episode. This was not mentioned and it might be pertinent. "The decline in estrogen levels during menopause can contribute to changes in skin elasticity, moisture levels and collagen production. Reduced elasticity can lead to dryness and thinning of the skin, making it more susceptible to cracking and calluses. At the same time, hormonal fluctuations can affect the immune system, making the skin more vulnerable to infection, particularly fungal infections such as athlete’s foot. My top tip: Maintain good foot hygiene, moisturise your feet regularly and choose breathable footwear to keep your skin healthy and fungal infections at bay. As women navigate the transformative stage of menopause, it’s essential to recognize the comprehensive impact on the body, encompassing the musculoskeletal system and skin health. Proactive measures, including attentive foot care, maintaining bone health and flexibility and addressing changes in foot structure, can contribute to optimising your foot health during and after menopause. Consulting with a podiatrist for personalised advice and care ensures a holistic approach to foot health, promoting comfort and mobility throughout this next phase of life." source: www.dulwichpodiatry.co.uk/menopause-and-its-impact-on-foot-health/
Ketosis invoked during lack of Pyruvate and oxaloacetate is an emergency status evolved to get the body through times of low or no food and energy availability. The brain RBCs and other organs prefer and preserve precious glucose. Putting your body through emergency status leads to stress and inflammation
It is sad to see how frail many of the older plants based doctors are getting. Especially Dr. McDougall. Dr Fuhrman seems to look healthier than most, but Barnard, Greger, Esselstyne and Campbell are becoming gaunt, appear to have sarcopenia and don't look healthy.
Esselstyne and Campbell are 90 years old. I hope I live to be that old and retain my memory as well as they have. I have had many friends die lately of dementia and other ailments in their fifties and sixties. These people were eating the standard American diet. For sure, that is not the way to eat if you want to live a long, high quality life.
Google mifflin st jeor equation and plug in your height weight and age, it should give you your resting metabolic rate this is what your body uses at rest without activity added
Instead of $18K banging machine use a soft hair brush w/an extended handle (3M tape) to massage/tap/bang your face neck, fascia, lower back, tummy, legs... bc it's all about the blood flow to our muscles and the bones, especially after u compress your blood pipelines and muscles when u sleep, or sit on a chair all day.
I have asked a question all over the videos this doctor has and my question has not been answered. My husband had a triple bypass and lost every ounce of fat he had, he looks like he was a prisoner in war and was not fed. The doctor then put him on a plant based diet, but forgot to mention how he was going to gain some weight healthy way?????? P.S. Is processed ground spelt flour healthy, he makes a cracker and I worry he fills up on it and it has no food value?
To gain weight he will need to be in a calorie surplus, eating a little more than his body requires each day. Heart healthy fats like nuts seed and avocado have more calories per bite and will help him stay heart healthy while gaining a little weight back. I would recommend meeting with a registered dietitian and let them know you are wanting to follow a plant based diet they should be able to help you come up with an eating plan.
White flour from spelt is not a healthy food, no. But if you're using whole grain flour, or grinding that spelt into flour yourself, it's fine. Most people would gain weight on those crackers, but in this case that's what you want.
Healthy fats laid down lots of plaque all over my vascular system. Stripping all fats regressed some of ithis plaque and decalcified some heart valves...I do not believe any overt fat is healthy anymore. Nuts seeds and avocados hurt me a lot.
Protein and fat are not meaningless. Sure you can go low protein low fat for a while, maybe even some years. But then it'll greatly harm your long term health and longevity.
I have always thought Dr. Fuhrman is anything but healthy looking and his color is pasty. Let's not forget he is several years younger than Dr. Mcdougall and doesn't look half as good. Not a fan!
Animal slavers dont deserve respect.. if you want respect- break the chain. Using "family" as an excuse or defense is clearly not a valid justification

Dr Fuhrman and Dr Michael Greger are much aligned in their messages about nutritional health.
Dr Fuhrman is my favorite doctor. He answered a question about low WBC of which I have 3.36.

Yes, I shared this with my doc also.
Dr. FUHRMAN, you and your Nutritarian protocol has saved my life... been on it for 1.5 yrs so far. It's for a lifetime!
Dr Fuhrman is so smart and knowledgeable and i love how passionate he is about nutrition and health! I am constantly learning from him!!🎉😊

Bat compost is collected in caves where bats live. There are several feet of it in the caves.
Follow the beef butter bacon and egg diet with small amounts of vegetables.
Good luck with that
Crazy carnivore diet made me very sick. Thankfully stopped before ending up in the hospital or worse.
Though your credibility did not need any help, it soared for me when the Dr didn't engage in "pearl clutching" over the question regarding adding in animal products for specific conditions. What a great discussion!
There are no conditions that require eating animal products. Its important to identify the animals as the victim

Best wishes on your book tour. I can’t wait to get mine!
I love that he says that it's better to eat less food to have a slower metabolism. I have a slow metabolism.
I want a fast metabolism though. I love to eat and don't want to feel deprived by eating such small amounts.
Dr Fuhrman's book on water-only fasting is my favorite (Fasting--and Eating--for Health, 1995)

It’s from wearing flip flops and sandals every day, just like AJ said.
Hi AJ, Would love to know where you got you ball cap? Love it!
Always a pleasure.
I ordered his book. And I ordered yours a few months back. Hoping they will be signed by you both.
I would have had questions ..but I appreciate this information
Love this man
Had my first plant protein bread today so good ❤
What bread is that?
@@tlv9463 Arnold's Grains Almighty plant protein. It says new has 9 grams of protein
Great information, thanks for sharing!
Delighted to hear the brilliant Dr. Fuhrman! Thanks to you both!
Dr. Fuhrman is the best. Listen to the podcast he does with his daughter Jenna.
No.
Colin T Campbell well and truly put that idea to bed.
Our brains love ketones. 6/18 or 7/17 intermittent fasting instead of $60 steaks. 5/19 is better. If u are hungry drink water.
Then let her interview YOU. The doc is not saying that. Research doesn't say it either.
No way.

Oh dear pedalling meat and dairy again ……..
It's just the years. More years are passing than you realize! 😱
soak your feet in vinegar few minutes every night to heal cracking heel
??? Can you please tell me the brand name of the no salt sauerkraut and where you buy ???
Yes you 100% have to have Joel’s mom on!!! 🤣
I use Betadine on my cracked heels.
"Skin the cat"?!?! 😮
This question is so easy to answer....NO...NO...1000 times NO! Dead animal flesh is NOT food..it's VIOLENCE
How do you figure out your metabolic rate?

Animal products sabotage health
Want name of your book
❤️😃
Would you be kind enough to turn on subtitles/closed captions before uploading your videos? Thanks!
I believe they are on. Can you see them?
Yes we can thanks
I try to follow Dr. Furhman’s diet plan but… I’m not doing that composting procedure. I’m just not!
He said “very few medical cases” where he would recommend animal products… but, I have EPI/ take pancreatic enzymes. Should I be avoiding them..?
Yes, you should get your protein from plants. However, do work with a qualified nutritionist to make the transition.
You need those enzymes...you will have difficulty digesting protein without them.
Fermented foods come to mind.. theres alot of metabolic components created and broken down
He didn’t touch on HRT on one of the questions😞

In addition to the other suggestions: dried fruit also has a pretty high caloric density.

I disagree with Fuhrman. You don't improve schizophrenia by eating poisonous foods.
No, thanks. My family has enjoyed dairy and meat for centuries. You disrespect the dedicated farmers who produce fantastic foods.

your not you…lol
