I watched the film and during the whole episode there's a running gag about how useless his film class is and how he doesn't pay attention, almost as if he's transcended that knowledge. ironic.
You wake up at 8:00 a.m. to go to your animation history course. You walk in seeing the same old faces and sit at your assigned seat as usual. You notice that class hasn't started yet and become a little confused. Your instructor comes to the podium with glorious news. "Good morning everyone! Mike here has said he wanted to show us an animation he made today." Your first thought is, who the hell is Mike, and you see this guy with a football helmet on with animal ears walk up to the front, and you're like "Oh that guy." Mike says "I spent a lot of time on this with my friends and I hope you all enjoy it." Oh neat, this guy must be pretty good at animating and if he's willing to show his work to the ENTIRE class! The lights dim. The big, wide high definition screen slowly pans down from the ceiling and you see THIS! Complete and total silence fills the room. Two of your classmates leave the room without saying anything. The girl you sit next to is crying and a guy 3 seats down is trying to contain his vomit. Mike walks back on stage and asks "Soooo, what did you think of the pilot?" The guy in the back of the class yells, "DID YOU FUCK A SKUNK?!"
Some facts that may or may not be true that I found researching this guy: -This was shown in film class, not even animation class. The point was to make any sort of film I guess. -Student's reactions were normal, nobody cringed or laughed at him somehow. Apparently some people thought the jokes were funny too -The professor was voiced by an actual professor who taught in the film course, and thought it was funny. -He actually wears that blue cat hat in real life. He made it himself by sowing ears on a felt hat he bought on campus. -He also actually wears that shirt. There are pictures of him wearing both the hat and the shirt -Apparently he said intelligent things in the classes he participated in
The smoothness of the animation is really off-putting. Just looking at stills you'd think it'd be choppy but NOOO its like butter. In this style and context that's not a compliment.

Honestly, looks like a Newgrounds animation submission. Maybe others would give feedback and he could focus on becoming a better animator and making better stories if it happened that way.
Cat Man End of Evangelion was basically Hideaki Anno trolling his fanbase. The anime’s ending made no sense because the budget ran out and they had to put something together with what they had left. So many people complained and even sent death threats to him that he decided to make a movie to “explain” the ending, but really, he just wanted to fuck with those entitled assholes, cause he was pissed. He intentionally made it confusing and weird. That masturbation scene at the beginning represented how he felt about people who made porn based on his series. He was saying “See how disgusting Shinji looks in this scene? That’s you, you creeps!” He threw in mysteries with no answers and symbolism with no meaning, essentially saying “Analyze that, you pretentious fuckwits!” End of Evangelion is a theatrical middle finger to it’s entire fanbase. The cartoon shown in this video, however, is just some guys poorly drawn furry fetish jerk off fantasy. I see no similarity.

There is actually a comment giving info on this dude and I guess everyone was totally fine with it. Even enjoying most of the comedy. So I guess moral of the story is that if you ever get stage fright remember the time this was presented in a real college film class and got a good response.
I love the story about this show, alongside the fact that it’s weirdly a good life lesson. Basically, the more you hate something, the less you will see of it. Anything, books, animation, etc could be forgotten in a second and then found again thanks to hate. Especially when someone sees it years later and actually like it.

Ok imagine this. You have a close group of friends, there's you, Tony, Chad and Melissa where you have all been together for the best part of 10 years. You all share common interests but the one thing that brings you all together is animation, and by chance you all get accepted into this prestigious animation school the best of its kind. After a few weeks into class you are all really enjoying it the lessons are fun and everyone there's shares the same passion for animation. This is when the teacher sets the class a task animate the pilot episode for your very own animated series. Great you and your friends think this is just the thing you have all been looking forward too. Fast forward to the due date you all have your pilot episode Reddy and are getting ready to show the class, first up this strange anti social kid named Mike who spends most of the class on his own drawing. He starts up his episode "Mike and Melissa" it is titled. You all give a glass over to your friend Melissa but you all shake it off thinking of it as a coincidence rather than her getting inserted into mike's animation. Oh but how wrong could you be. As you begin to watch you all realise this you can recognise yourself in at least one of these crudely drawn characters and that's when it hits the Melissa in this story is your friend and the weird dude Mike has inserted her in such a way where his strange fantasies about her are coming to reality. Everyone in the class gives a very concerned look to Mike who seems none the wiser about it. As the video finishes up Melissa gets up and storms out the class in a fit of rage. Mike is pulled out the class shortly after by another teacher and he is never to return again. Well that's how I fist imagined this story when I fist heard that mike self inserted himself into it.

Cat Man End of Evangelion was basically Hideaki Anno trolling his fanbase.
The anime’s ending made no sense because the budget ran out and they had to put something together with what they had left.
So many people complained and even sent death threats to him that he decided to make a movie to “explain” the ending, but really, he just wanted to fuck with those entitled assholes, cause he was pissed.
He intentionally made it confusing and weird.
That masturbation scene at the beginning represented how he felt about people who made porn based on his series. He was saying “See how disgusting Shinji looks in this scene? That’s you, you creeps!”
He threw in mysteries with no answers and symbolism with no meaning, essentially saying “Analyze that, you pretentious fuckwits!”
End of Evangelion is a theatrical middle finger to it’s entire fanbase. The cartoon shown in this video, however, is just some guys poorly drawn furry fetish jerk off fantasy.

I love the story about this show, alongside the fact that it’s weirdly a good life lesson. Basically, the more you hate something, the less you will see of it. Anything, books, animation, etc could be forgotten in a second and then found again thanks to hate. Especially when someone sees it years later and actually like it.

Ok imagine this.
You have a close group of friends, there's you, Tony, Chad and Melissa where you have all been together for the best part of 10 years. You all share common interests but the one thing that brings you all together is animation, and by chance you all get accepted into this prestigious animation school the best of its kind. After a few weeks into class you are all really enjoying it the lessons are fun and everyone there's shares the same passion for animation. This is when the teacher sets the class a task animate the pilot episode for your very own animated series. Great you and your friends think this is just the thing you have all been looking forward too.
Fast forward to the due date you all have your pilot episode Reddy and are getting ready to show the class, first up this strange anti social kid named Mike who spends most of the class on his own drawing.
He starts up his episode "Mike and Melissa" it is titled. You all give a glass over to your friend Melissa but you all shake it off thinking of it as a coincidence rather than her getting inserted into mike's animation.
Oh but how wrong could you be.
As you begin to watch you all realise this you can recognise yourself in at least one of these crudely drawn characters and that's when it hits the Melissa in this story is your friend and the weird dude Mike has inserted her in such a way where his strange fantasies about her are coming to reality.
Everyone in the class gives a very concerned look to Mike who seems none the wiser about it.
As the video finishes up Melissa gets up and storms out the class in a fit of rage. Mike is pulled out the class shortly after by another teacher and he is never to return again.
Well that's how I fist imagined this story when I fist heard that mike self inserted himself into it.
