Can't Push Your Vacuum through Deep Carpet? Try These Two Adjustments

If your central vacuum power head is impossible to push through your deep-pile carpeting, there are two adjustments you can make...
The first is to raise the wheels to their highest position (number 5 on this Wessel-Werk EBK360 model), which elevates the nozzle off the carpet.
The second is to open the suction control on the handle, which reduces the "suction lock" on the carpet. Many carpets (deep and short pile) do not have a porous enough backing to allow air to flow through, so a powerful vacuum cleaner will suck down to the carpet and be very difficult to operate. The suction control helps with this.
