Everybody in Harmony's life including the system failed her immensely. What happened to this child is utterly disgusting. Not only did this little girl not have a home to call her own to feel safe in and play in, she was a punching bag for this man's frustrations. You think a parent would feel guilty for not providing their children with the basic necessities of life and do anything to make it up to them or place the children in the care of a relative or friend who can provide for them. To carry your deceased child around in a duffle bag is something from the actual depths of hell.

The mother kept trying to report her daughter missing and in danger. No one listen to her for two years. Just listen to what the mother said. I have been trying to get somebody to look for her since 2019.

This judge was probably daydreaming about his upcoming retirement and just went through the motions of his job because he could care less.

Problem is children are continually being murdered, usually at the hands of a parent! It’s beyond despicable!
They are far more likely to be harmed at the hands of a foster parent but I agree this dad should not have been given custody of her.

At every twist and turn Harmony was failed. I know the system is overwhelmed, but Harmony should have never been in the care of either parent. Beating your child to death because of a situation YOU put her in is abhorrent.

Just looking at the photos of Harmony makes me cry. As a mother I see her in my own child and I feel this primal urge to protect. She is a baby so of course she is innocent but those photos of Harmony really capture her essence. She seemed like such a sweet little darling. Her smile is genuine and her eyes are innocently trusting. She depended on the adults around her to nurture and care for her. I empathize with those who struggle with addiction but even so there definitely are parents who are in the deepest throes of addiction and still they never would physically harm their own child. Rest in heaven, Harmony.
I’d love to see what thorough documentation they had when that judge decided to give that child back to that monster. Someone needs to be held accountable for this.

According to several sources I've seen from 6 months-1 year ago, the mother tried multiple times to reach out to the sperm donor and step mom and they blocked her calls and ignored her. Apparently she even tried to call CPS. Its such an incredibly sad sitation. Even though she struggled with addiction, it didnt make her a bad mother. It SOUNDS LIKE she tried to check on her but im sure there was more that could have been done. Adam and the step mom are completely to blame. CPS could be blamed as well, but the "parents" are the ones who committed this atrocious crime.
Such a sweet looking little girl who didnt deserve any of what she was handed. I feel bad for the mother too. It sounds like she was trying to better herself then this happens.

We don't know the moms story. If it's true that she was in treatment and taking the steps to better herself, well I don't believe she should be judged. I would bet my life that she has enough guilt for a lifetime.

@@alisha8586that person likely isnt gonna see it the way we do. They don't seem to understand addiction. For all we know she could have only became addicted after getting put on pain meds for having a baby and sought treatment. Either way it wouldn't matter because that person clearly sees addicts differently than other human beings. I assume they must be perfect and have never done any wrong to pass such judgment. Their excuse of should have chose to not bring her into the world isn't even valid anymore as a large portion of women in the US are now having to go through with pregnancies they didn't want, but must have now due to the law changing and we will hear many more cases like this because of that.
The Prison where that monster is locked up need to show this program on the tv so the prisoners get to see what he was up to.

I almost can't handle this case. That father is worse than a nightmare, come true. I truly hope karma and God are real and this sad excuse for a man gets his. The system and the State of Massachusetts and New Hampshire failed this child. Shame on the workers and people who couldn't give this sweet angel the basics. Every time I see a photo of this dear little girl a lot of anger boils up in me for the two a--holes that conceived her. She was failed even before she was born, people having babies as some sort of income or thinking she is a toy doll to play with. She was a human being with needs not a doll, how can they not comprehend this? Absolutely one of the most heartbreaking stories & selfish crimes out there 😭 RIP Harmony & I’m sure the angels in heaven have you well protected now ❤

These cases always shock and disgust me to the core. I just can't comprehend how someone could hurt a child
There's such a strong instinct in me to protect and nurture children even children i don't know, i want to protect every child. And to think that people could hurt their own child AND choose drugs over their children. Absolutely horrible. And its become so common. Our society is failing when we can't protect the children.
This happens too often over a measly check. When a parent is being given checks on behalf of a minor or disabled child, said child needs to be checked on regularly. So many parents collect checks while their children live in squalor. People like this are vile.

So father losing his house and living in a car is a great father figure. The father’s background was well worse off than the mother. That family court should be a shame of themselves. Even other family members or foster are would have been better . Justice for the precious girl her life was taken so young.

To Vinnie, I was so riveted by your incensed and powerful delivery in the absolute betrayal given to this sweet angel. What leaves me hope is although that POS now has a roof and receives three squares a day, I pray he is not given a moment's peace from the hardcore residents also residing there.

Any social service worker will tell you that bladder control issues can point to child abuse. This is one of those cases where bad behavior of adults goes on for too long without consequences. It rarely ends well.

This is the most vile, sickening case I’ve ever heard about. He MURDERS his own little girl with his bare hands, then carries her body around as she’s decomposing?!?! The step mother just goes along with it, living with the corpse of a child and her kids? It’s unbelievable 😳😢💔
My daughter tried fertility treatments for years to have a baby…never happened for her. She often said why do people have children and hurt them while I want nothing more than a child to love?! My daughter took her grief and turned to being a director over foster care where she tries to make sure kids are safe. She has testified in court on their behalf.

Adam Montgomery’s father and brother saw Harmony with a black eye !! They should of immediately said Harmony is staying with us. Despicable people …. No words.
His brother did call child services and report it.
I want to know more about how he got custody. That judge or law or whatever would allow that without making sure he had proper housing etc for her. No after checks or anything. It’s totally nuts. I could see maybe if he had a good job, home, steady life, etc. but it seemed he was not in that position at all, actually kinda the opposite of that. 🤯 This poor child was let down. 😣
Did you listen? They were NOT homeless when AM got custody.
They got evicted from the house on Gilbert St. about 12 days before AM killed Harmony.
However, judge Mark Newman didn't bother to look into AM's criminal history & drug addiction.
We can only hope that her dad who doesn’t deserve to be called a dad this monster gets what he deserves and I hope when he goes to jail prison that he will get his hell that he deserves that he gave to harmony every day!
AM isn't going anywhere; he's already serving up to 60 years for gun possession/dealing with a criminal history.

From what I remember. The only reason Adam had custody was because the mom had another court case at the same time harmonys custody case. Her mother had to choose which court case to go to. She tried getting a continuation but it was denied. Adam got custody because she went to the other court. I could be mixing this case up with another one tho.

The fact that her mother wasn't able to show up to court one day and they automatically gave this man custody he's a career criminal but because her mother didn't show up to court he was granted sole custody these judges have got to start doing better homework. There is no reason even if her mother didn't show up to any court dates that that little girl should have ever went to him!
