Where the literary quality in all the Gospels are generally of a very high nature, the Acts of the Apostels and all other books of the New Testament apart from the Revelations, are, in my humble opinion, very much worse, especially compared to the books of the Old Testament. The reason for that mostly is that I find the books of the New Testament to be much less poetic and much more particular than the far more universal nature of the Jewish scriptures. So, let me now ask the Jesuit what he thinks about this opinion, and what do you think of the quality of them yourself?

Enjoying your further readings very much but have a slight cavil. The edition you're reading is properly called the Authorised Version and not the King James Version 😊😊

It's not a cavil, as I'm sure you know, but in any case: it's been referred to as the King James Version for four hundred years, and it'll be referred to that way here.

@@saintdonoghue Thank you for your correction. My only excuse is that it was 2am UK time and I had had a glass or two of wine before bed (no calzones, just learned what they are) and responding. I'd never encountered the term King James version until I started watching UA-cam and wasn't immediately sure what it referred to. A moments thought cleared the mist. Nomenclature be damned We're talking about the same historical text. I am enjoying very much your readings and interpretations of the Acts 😀😀
