- [Verse 1]
Down a rabbit hole
We go
As the flames grow higher
For the unbelievers
Making mushrooms out of men
‘Til she turns us back again
To a face of solid gold
Solid gold
Sycophantic fawners
In double quick-time
The beginning at the end
‘Til she turns us back again
[Verse 2]
First she'll pull your fingers off
And then she'll pull your toes
And then she'll steal the photos
From your phone
(But you won't notice)
[Verse 3]
Our echo doesn’t hear us
Anymore
Hanging on a cloth edge
By its fingers
Making mushrooms out of men
[Refrain]
That’s okay I guess if you like this kinda thing
This kinda thin, thin, thin, thing
Thesе kinda mushrooms
These kinda ripples
Thеse kinda ripples
These kinda thin thing, thin thing
Like this kinda thin thing
[Outro]
One, two, three, four, five, six
We haven't had a Radiohead track this aggressive since Hail To The Thief. This is a breath of fresh air.
Bodysnatchers?
@@starcellars1873 stuff on hail is still more aggressive
@@starcellars1873 bodysnatchers feels too warm to be aggressive imo, compared to the spiky guitar riff mid way into where i end and you begin, the entire second half of 2+2=5 or the gunshot drums of a wolf at the door
@@pimposki6232 hmm makes sense
@@MicahBuzanMUSIC what about ful stop?
Best guitar playing I've heard in so long. This is by far the coolest smile song I've heard yet.
the distortion on the voice makes it better than the album version imo
so much better than the album version, I hope they release live concert vids soon
Agreed
It's really good, but the album version is more listenable and detailed.
@@MicahBuzanMUSIC nah the studio version butchered it. no energy and ruined the drums
@@JackMorgan06 The studio version has so much texture. It's a bit slower of a groove, but when you get it, you get it. Love both the studio and live versions for different reasons. Studio version slaps in it's own way, but can I understand someone not liking it as much.
Dude this sounds awesome. Can’t wait for the studio release
Monday is gonna be a good day.
@@obseque I got a new Smile track to listen to and a new Better Call Saul episode. Sounds like a good Monday to me!
@@MauricioJara im waiting for the exact same things
hello fellow music enjoyers, if you wanna spend a real good monday there's also the new black midi single ;)
sooo muuchh energyyy
Its very math rock.. I fucking love the bass and drumming is the best.. Guitar parts are funktishus... Toms 70s style groove singing is cool.. Even thr title got that flavour.... All in all its a roller coaster ride of a tune i im digging.. Excuse the groovy language kinda makes me talk this way ya dig...
It's too good.
So powerful and intense.
It is sooooo refreshing to hear this ❗ There is hope for Music 🙏
There's thousands of great artists still producing music, the heck are you on about? Music is doing just fine and will keep doing fine after both you and me are no longer around.
Johnny!!!!!!!
Has a very hail to the thief vibe . What a belter .
Hope the full Magazine jams get released at some point ✌️
This is sick. Can't wait for the album
