Back in the 60s and 70s in Los Angeles and Orange County they used to have high school motocross. Very competitive it was an awesome time to start racing.
Adam is so well spoken and knowledgeable. Just a great ambassador for the sport.
Great podcast and topic Gyps.
The real question for Adam should have been , would you encourage your son to race motorcycles or no??
It’s not something to encourage about imo. It’s something your kid comes to you about
IMO? I have been a fan, racer-fan and now a full-time fan. And I'd be remiss if it wasn't said that the racing this season was some of the most colourfully vivid. On lotsa levels... 🤘🏼
McGrath's big deal was being on the cusp of a freestyle personality while retaining a sellible persona.
People pushed back against the MC domination of SX in the mid-90’s… there just wasn’t the 24/7 availability and instant social media coverage of the sport.
You had to be there to some degree.
Before deegan coming out of amateurs there was AC. Before him was James. Been greats all on there but the hype out of amateurs unmatched against them.
i dont think its for your everyday moms and your big eyed pops. life is hard and the community behind it blow it out of proportion and leave the same community gassed. everyone has an idea but no degree of legitimacy, because some in the industry discredit or put on a front of understanding and put pressure into their careers and lives.
All well and good but the weekend racers have no money and it's going to get worse, fuel food entries insurance spares tyres and it goes on and on it wasn't as bad when two-strokes where strong simple to rebuild more fun just stick in a piston in every few months. Four-stroke I tried the 250 but you have to have no mechanical sympathy and rebuilds are bank breakers.
People forget ricky won a moto championship his first year on the big bike he just needed some help in sx
So have many others
@@decano5147 I'm just saying cause Ricky makes it seem like he was horrible when he first went up to the big class
@@Jb-mp1in it also took Ricky 3 years to win a SX title against McGrath because RC kept crashing in SX. So he did struggle indoors, I think that’s where Ricky regrets moving up so soon.
Yeah because of inflation
You talk and but in way to much
Jets just not that likeable to me. If you really pay attention, you can still hear boos on people's race posts and at different times he's on the mic on the broadcast.
Hi profile people get boos anywhere just negative people. People booing r the ones who've done nothing with their lives
@@danielreeves9613
Yup and 80% of the people cheering him on. Have no mx bike
In racing when your dominating you get booed, then after you retire they say how great you are, same thing has happened in F1, Nascar, off-road
