I really like the bird's eye views of the camera. Apart from that, it is of little use just to listen to this one movement. She has a clear concept of the sequence of movements, with broad tempi getting broader and fast tempi ending up in quasi delirando. She has a perfect sense of the grotesque character of some parts, something I admire very much.
lord Almighty! Just when you thought that you heard the mopst extroardinary playing. Another flash of lightening strikes right over you and shokes you to the bones. This Anna Vinnitskaia is something super extroardinary. She has more energy, force, and electrical shock than anyone. But they lyrical and touching parts are also attended to and it feels so warm and Russian to the core.
I really like Prokofiev. And, to me, Anna Vinnitskaia is gonna be "the next" Martha Argerich. In fact, that explains why this performance is so amazing :)
I think she is the best pianist ever. Check her out performing "Pictures at an Exhibition" which by the way I can not find on UA-cam anymore. And I can not purchase it anywhere... Does anyone know?

you can't be serious. Argerich could and would have excelled at Prok 2. Your comment is fatuous. She chose not to perform this ever. But i bet she mastered it.
@@burrenmagic I don’t do “fatuous”…Fast and conjunctive reply on your part 11 years later……On the contrary …she could have learned something from Gulda (but didn’t) and M. Vinnitskaya clearly could (and did) learn much from Evgeny Koroliov… My point is I would not cross the road to have Argerich inflict her personality on me. I would refrain from attempting to patronize people you don’t know in a public forum….
@@burrenmagic …get over it..I am not “attacking” anyone…I have none of her recordings nor would I go to any of her concerts…she’ll survive!

What a piece! What a composer! There is nothing else in Russian music like Prokofiev's...Gergiev's claim that the man was a marvel is spot-on.
such a sweet face she had before this final movement. then she begins the wild passionate playing!
I forgot an amazing Natalia Trull her Rachmaninov 3 the most beautiful one.Trull Prokofjev 3 concerto!!!!!
Bravo Anna!!!
c'est très bien et ça a de la pêche!bravo

insanely performance!! also very cute pianist :D

I love from 2:05 & 3:38

For me,Yakov Zak with Standerling is perfection, the begining is slower, but much more powerfull

The tempo of the beginning is perfect, slower it just doesn't work
Start at 2:05
She is under Prokofiev's spell....and we are under hers....

It is messy in the beginning, compare Ashkenazy or Gutierrez, but I appreciate her emotion in the slower parts.

student of Evgeny Koroliov...what do you expect...Apfel fällt nicht weit vom Stamm....;-)....Prekrasno.....
Very good performence, but I don't like it,the begining was to fast and it was a bit messy to my ears and the orchestra is to soft(not the bassonist^^)
you cannot compare a genius like Shostakovich with an only talented composer like Prokofiev
i hope not....she's already somewhere Argerich has never been.........
