Your video inspired me to get this bag Jennifer and I love it!! 😍😍 I got the size 29 also in the gold clemence leather with gold hardware and I use a Samorga insert with it so it’s very organized and nothing pokes through the sides to give it a lumpy look;). I’ve also used my toiletry 19 as an organizer which was the tip you showed years ago too. You do such helpful and honest reviews which I really appreciate 💕

One of my favourite bags for sure. I have GP & Lindy but for some reason, I always go back for this bag! I dont baby my bags and with this bag, the leather is forever soft, handles wear and tear so well (can't help accidental banging & bumping into things) and not heavy. I also love the outside pocket for easy access for my phone and Metro card. If you are an active, practical person who enjoy a "grab & go" lifestyle, I can assure you, you will love this bag.

Wow! It's beautiful! Thank you for doing an update. I was inspired by your video when you first got your Evelyn. I finally bought mine this past December, in the Gold color with gold hardware. I love it! It really is stunning. However... I haven't used it yet. I've been a little afraid to, and also I really haven't been able to go anywhere to actually use it. Such a bummer! Anyway, this video about your wear and tear has once again inspired me! She's getting used TODAY! (Even if it is just to the mail box and back.🤣) You look fabulous; so nice to see you!

The Evelyn is one of those bags which I initially didn’t like but it has grown on me. I have never been able to make north/south bags work but now that you can buy an insert for them that problem has gone away.
As there are lots of them on the preloved market at pretty reasonable prices for Hermes, it’s probably the only Hermes bag I may ever consider buying. The black is the most practical for me but I keep being drawn to the blue Zanzibar. That shade of Mediterranean blue is a colour that seems to go with most things. I have an Oroton tote in that colour and for years it’s been my most worn summer bag, so I may be able to justify that one after all.
It’s really helpful to see how well it has worn and how much you fit into it. I am around your age and I do find that the older I get the more I need to carry around. Once I started having to carry reading glasses everywhere mini bags were out.
I love my black Evelyne PM, I got it last October and it's great. I bought orange in the GM size preloved at FF for $2650 and then loved it so much, that I bought black new directly from Hermes. I paid less than $1K to get a 2020 new bag than a 2012 bag. Just a thought. I LOVE my orange color so much - it's iconic! Love your videos as always. They are the most fun!

I can’t believe it’s been 3 years. Thanks for the update. It’s silly but I think about getting this bag every now and again, even though it’s not totally my style, because my mom is named Evelyn.
Time flies, and seems to go faster all the time! I wasn't sure it was my style either...until about 6 years ago I thought I hated crossbody bags!! I've certainly changed my mind now, though. I love that it shares a name with your mom. Such a beautiful, classic and elegant name!
We have very similar tastes! I have the etoupe with palladium hardware and think you should get that color as you can also wear with everything; also if you have a lighter neutral you can use it for warmer months and black for colder months - my 2 Cents - can’t wait to see what you get!
I have loved the etoupe for so long, I think that might be the one I "need" next! Perhaps I will go for a "color" on my 3rd Evelyne...!
I have the etoupe Evelyne PHW, and it'S the best neutral for all year round and the summer. I wear a lot of blue and it goes so well, truly the most versatile colour in my opinion!
I have always loved etoupe and had a hard time choosing between that and noir when I first got my Evelyne. It truly seems like the perfect color!

My vote is for etoupe with gold. I actually had an etoupe (my fave Hermès color) with palladium and at least to me it brought out the cooler greeny/gray-ey tones in it which I wasn’t crazy about... and so I sold it because I’m such a SHW guy and that just wasn’t doing it for me. If you can somehow safely see both combos in person (on any H bag or piece), I swear the slight hardware color difference on the same bag makes a WORLD of difference! Have also seen gris asphalt I think? It’s a pure gray but not heavy/dark in any way and THAT looks STUNNING with palladium. Would 100% have a birkin 35 or 40 in that combo too... uh oh, dreaming now. Loved the video and can’t wait to see what you end up with!!! Much love from Austin. ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Josh! I agree with you that the hardware color brings out different shades in the leather. It is crazy what a different it makes. I would love to be able to see the etoupe/gold combo in person. I have had that exact bag for 8 years....... traipsed across Europe with me..... still no signs of wear! This is the PERFECT BAG IMHO, and the best kept secret......🥰🤗
Every time I get a new bag of any brand and I ask my husband what color he likes, he ALWAYS picks red. I prefer blue though. I think that blue you showed is stunning! Also the taupe is very pretty as well as neutral! Enjoy the shopping! And let us know! Jackie from Indiana

I have a smaller one in red and it's absolutely stunning, however, my mother wanted it so badly I gave it to her but she always give me back my bags and I was thinking mabe she would give this one back as well. Hi. I remember you renting this bag years ago to try it out and then you falling in love with it and eventually buying it! It was because of you that I bought one too! Mine is black with gold hardware because that is what I could find then. It’s a lovely crossbody bag, great for traveling. Like you, I love this bag too and would love to get another one. The other two colors I am considering are Taupe with a contrast stitching (you showed it here) and gold. Let’s see what I can find. By the way the smallest size isn’t bad either for a light daily use .......can’t wait to see what color you choose next! 🤗

I have loved it forever (it was a toss up between the taupe and black when I got the black) and it just seems like the most logical choice for me. Gold is a true classic, gorgeous color, as well! Love the etoupe color! My only worry would be color transfer. Such a pretty bag and love the gold hardware:). I have been trying to get ahold of the Louis Vuitton key pouch in empreinte leather and so far it is a no go, I was wondering if you liked the Gucci one as much?
I have been concerned about color transfer with etoupe, too, but have had so many people tell me they have not experienced any problems with it! As for the LV empreinte key pouch and the Gucci key pouch...that's a tough one! I would say they hold an equal amount of items (haven't tested that theory...I will do that). But I enjoy using them both equally. I think I will compare them in a video soon! Thank you for the inspiration!

I think you should hold out for an orange bag as your pop of color bc you can style it for three seasons!
I do love the orange....but it would probably be my third or fourth Evelyne.
So funny--I wore mine today for the first time in a while and I remembered how much I love it! Edited to add---the ONE negative for me is the lack of a top handle. It would make it easier to get in and out of the car without grabbing the bag itself or wrestling the bag out of the car by the strap. Does that make sense? lol
That same thing happens to me whenever I get it out and use it again after awhile. I know I love it, but using it reminds me even more! I do understand what you mean about the "grab" factor. I find myself grabbing the bag where the strap connects to the bag when I reach for it. 👍🏻
Go for color! I think red is a great choice, almost a neutral in some ways. No one does color like Hermes!

You inspired me to buy the black Evy with paladium hardware. Love it! Use it the second winter nonstop. Last spring I got a second one in etoupe with paladium hardware. Such a perfect colour for spring and summer. My etoupe Evy I dressed a little up with a bandeau and an electric blue tassel, looks great.
I love the birkin. but never was after this bag. I just knew I wouldn’t use it that much.

Thank you! I love it as a travel companion. Safety-wise, I would not take it certain places, but in general I find it is very inconspicuous especially when the H is worn against the body (very few people know it as a very expensive bag- it just looks like a plain leather crossbody to most). And I never worry about someone getting their hands in it, as when traveling I always trow a scarf on top of my things and snap the top. This is makes the contents surprisingly secure and still easy for me to access.

Jennifer, I think you are a bad influence on me! Lol, I just ordered the lip gloss. What color bag are you thinking of getting? Black is my favorite; I like the choc brown/taupe . The gray is pretty too. The blue is gorgeous, but I know for me, I would be put off by that, and be apt to not use it as much. The deep red is beautiful. I’m no help!!!
Well, I think you will love the lip gloss! :) I am torn between all the color choices for the Evelyne, and this is why I have been going back and forth on the issue for so long. I think the taupe has stolen my heart for awhile now, and it will probably be the next color. Kinda boring of me, but there you have it!

Hello! No, it does not stain any light colored items in the bag. I was wondering the same thing about my Azur glasses case, but there is no color transfer on it at all.

If you had to do it all over, would you have done black with gold hardware or black with silver? I'm very torn, but it seems like the silver looks the best.
I like the silver hardware better than the gold on the black Evelyne. I wear mostly gold jewelry, but I don't mind silver on my bags when it looks good!

I measured my strap drop at 28 1/2" at its longest. I hope that helps!

That is a gorgeous combo! Yes, I still have, and love, my Birkin. I haven't used it since covid began and miss it terribly. I will have to get it out and start using it again soon! (I'll just be super careful when and where, since disinfecting it would be close to impossible).
Do you carry it out in the rain? That is the one thing that scares me about this leather.
I used to be worried about the rain, too. But then I found myself getting some raindrops on my bag a few times. I just wiped it off and it is absolutely fine. Unless it gets very wet and stays wet for awhile (and you wipe off the drops soon after it happens) it will not be a problem.
