The "scholars" created Islam the way it is today. Without the details of Mohammad and the Sahaba as their example, they could not have jurisprudence. Sharia law is like the Talmud with "interpretations". The Quran is vague and ambiguous, coming from a primitive Nabatean Arabic script, so the scholars had to find ways to explain the meaning according to a context in a supposed historical way. The hadith are just further exaggeration and propaganda of Islam. For example, how did the scholars come to the conclusion that the owners of the elephant were in the Quran 105.1? The Quran mentions no details who they were. You go to the Sunnah which is created later, then you find the who the owners of the elephant were, they were Aksumites, and the story makes no sense, and it is historically questionable. I love and accept "The Man Made Nonesense" Line. What surprises me though is the fact that it facinates millions of academically educated folks without any apparent effort to question it.
The fact that it's vague and susceptible to violent interpretations is itself a major strike against Islam. If it truly came from god, the wouldn't be debate about any verses
I would also like to know what do the fundamentalist Muslims mean when say: That Muslim women’s have basic rights according to the framework of Islam “.
It’s the false narrative that women had no rights in pre-Islamic Arabia and Islam gave them rights. A complete fallacy! Women did have rights, and in some tribes/religions more rights than those found in Islam. The perfect, although unquestioned example is Khadejah. A woman who inherited all of her husbands business, ran it successfully, proposed marriage to mohamed, didn’t wear hijab, the first convert, funded the initial spread of the religion… she had more rights as a non-Muslim woman than when she was Muslim
@@thefirm4606 other example after final revelation of allah by Mohammad its all gone ....she was whatever she was before converting to islam...she wasnt born as muslim women... considering that girl who is born as muslim case suddenly turn 180° isnt it?!
Very good explanation! Reminded me a little of all the interpretation and translation issues in Christianity (let alone the books that were excluded from the bible). You made a very good point about how the "omnipotent creator of the universe" apparently can't express himself in a way that doesn't cause massive amounts of confusion and violence so many centuries later. It's a universal issue with all scripture based religions.
One of the first steps on my way to ex-Islamic thought was the realisation that Ali probably should have been the first caliphate but was duped by Abu Bakr. As a Sunni Muslim this was an eye-opening and treasonous thought. Excellent as always AS

I'm sure Allah is upset that his perfect Quran, "where not a word has been changed" is being changed. Appears that there are numerous Quran over the ages and all are different. That includes those
Why would God send a revelation which has so much that is unclear or able to be understood in so many different ways? Why would God sow so much uncertainty?
The quran has never changed. But every single arabic word seems to have 9 definitions including the opposite of the most common meaning. What else would you expect from a culture of liars and cheats?
The Quran was never whole in the first place, merely random scripture that was pieced together after mohamed died. Several accepted copies exist today (200 of which 38 I believe are accepted as true).
Muslims never lie. They just employ these defences when caught: 1. The meaning is different in Arabic. 2. The Hadiths are weak and not to be relied on 3. The meaning changed over the years in Arabic 4. The meaning is taken out of context ( never mind Quran is meant for all times) 5. The verses were abrogated by Allah ( though the Quran was revealed in a short span of 22 years) 6. No such Hadiths exists 7. Sirahs( Auto biographies of Mohammad)have no strong validity Muslims never lie . It is haram .
@@arulsammymankondar30 8. You are taking it literally when it’s supposed to be metaphorical. 9. Are you a scholar? Only scholars understand the true meaning of the Quran. 10. That verse only applies because of X historical event happening and not for anything else. I could go on!
If Islam was truly divinely inspired there would not be so much about the religion that is vague or unclear, leading to so many competing interpretations.
One of my good friend was Muslim in Primary school but once she started madrassa she stopped being my friend now I understand why I'm an infidel but I never saw her like that I'm a hindu but I'm not religious and I respect every living being that's what we are taught from small.
Just want to say I love your channel brother. I was born and raised in muslim family, in a muslim majority country. I was trying to be a good muslim for years, and I know exactly how confusing Islam is with so many interpretation. Scholars arguing against each other on whose version is the truest. Some more tolerant, some not, some even very harsh and rigid. So who's right and who's wrong? Nobody knows. In the end I just believe if a particular religion can make you a good person, go ahead follow it. Personally, I don't see how Islam can make me a good person so I just quit.
Exactly. If God is true, he will against religion because religion is a politics and a business to benefit a particular section of people whereas God belongs to each and every creature.
After waiting over 200k years since modern humans appeared , civilizations came, gone and buried..now aloha decides to introduce himself but it's already time to wrap up? Bad planner.
So to cut a long story short to quote Yasir Qhadi, they are all Qur'an. They are all Islamic. I disagree with Abdullah Sameer in several ways. I don't think that those who don't accept Muhammad as some sort of model for all time, and don't follow the Muhammad of the Qur'an and hadiths and tafsir are true Muslims. They ought to just accept that and declare that they have already left Islam. They are shoring up the Taliban and Isis and the salafi and the deobandi etc. And quite frankly I am shocked to hear Sameer, of all people, saying that the apostates that were persecuted under Abu Bakr only left Islam because they didn't want to pay zakat. The truth is that they knew how false Muhammad was. They knew how he kept changing his teachings to suit his circumstances. They had heard many of the other contradictions in the Qur'an and wanted to go back to the religions of their ancestors or another religion that was at least stable. This garbage about only not wanting to pay zakat is an islamist slur to not accept that the apostates had good reason for not believing in Islam, and were only practising it under fear of death.
I was not at all was a muslim. I am no longer Hindu too, just an Atheist. I would like to learn islam in an anthropology point of view, so i want more info on Islamic ideology or Quran, as i am also learning bible now. Hope i will get an unbiased narrative of Quran from you.

Every Jew: the Ten Commandments Every Christian: Jesus died for our Sins Every Muslim: Muhammad was a prophet.. Was he a moral prophet...? and do you accept his “mortality”?
Let's see, what we are told that a muslim is and if the Taliban qualifies 1: Believe that allah is one god...check 2: Believe that mohammad is a messenger....check. Hmm, it seems to me that they must be if they believe both things.
9:29 "Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture - [fight] until they give the jizyah willingly while they are humbled." 9:28 "O you who have believed, indeed the polytheists are unclean, so let them not approach al-Masjid al-Haram after this, their [final] year. And if you fear privation, Allah will enrich you from His bounty if He wills. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Wise."
Great breakdown of describing the difficultly to find uniformity around a single interpretation. Coming from a Christian background, this can be seen within the Christian world. When the freedom to think is allowed, the ideologies diversify. Each individual forms their own beliefs on their own authority. We are moving toward 7 billion + interpretations of the TRUTH. Individualistic human ideologies rather than groupthink structures.
Interpretation is also a very controversial issue even in the Bible, interpretation does not depend on "what is should be", but "what it is". And this depends on material forces and power. Nowadays, the Islam is the Islam of petroleum. For instance, in Protestantism same case was exposed of Bible interpretation, this "liberty" turned into a national chirch. This is worse because the church becomes a state entity.
What a mess. impossible to be truly messianic. It boils down to human conduct. "With or without religion, good people can behave well, and bad people can do evil; but for good people to do evil-that takes religion" (Steven Weinberg).
There is no reason why anyone should ever do other than as he pleases. Be Muslim or Christian or atheist, what ever pleases. Kill, not kill. Enslave, not enslave. Manipulate, or not. What can possibly outside a mans desires have anything to say about it? If one insist on analyzing it, surely this is the obvious answer?
The Taliban’s is part of a school/interpretation of Islam(don’t remember which). But what we see around the world in these movements(religious extremism) are a effect and combination of social political issues and so on. And if we take a historical look at Islam we see that the standardization of the faith didn’t begin until over 100 years after Muhammad’s death(Sira and Sunnah). Especially since the conflicts within the faith was becoming to be a problem. And as you are pointing out, the sects and the interpretations within the faith has grown since the early days and are still ongoing.
i could live with such a version of Islam. the reason why i dislike it so much is because of all the HATE it has in it, and promoted by prominent figures like Ali Dawah and Muhammad Hijab.
Those variations and interpretations you cite are of little importance to non-Muslims. the ones that are important are that which is related to killing apostates, slavery, treatment of women, treatment of none Muslims seem to be pretty clear. remove the state power Islam would collapse
People in a position of power in a religion will use the parts that religion that suits them to maintain that power. They "cherry pick" what suits them. Misusing is the wrong way to think about it. I would respond These groups are Using Islam to justify their position.
Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued. Quran 9:29 Explanation of verse 9:29 Allah then commanded fighting the disbelievers when He said: (...until there is no more Fitnah) meaning, Shirk. This is the opinion of Ibn Abbas, Abu Al-Aliyah, Mujahid, Al-Hasan, Qatadah, Ar-Rabi, Muqatil bin Hayyan, As-Suddi and Zayd bin Aslam. Allah's statement: (...and the religion (all and every kind of worship) is for Allah (Alone).) means, So that the religion of Allah becomes dominant above all other religions.' It is reported in the Two Sahihs that Abu Musa Al-Ashari said: "The Prophet was asked, O Allah's Messenger! A man fights out of bravery, and another fights to show off, which of them fights in the cause of Allah' The Prophet said: (He who fights so that Allah's Word is superior, then he fights in Allah's cause.) In addition, it is reported in the Two Sahihs: (I have been ordered (by Allah) to fight the people until they proclaim, `None has the right to be worshipped but Allah'. Whoever said it, then he will save his life and property from me, except for cases of the law, and their account will be with Allah.) The Order to fight until there is no more Fitnah Tafsir Ibn Kathir Fight them till there is no sedition, no idolatry, and the religion, all worship, is for God, alone and none are worshipped apart from Him; then if they desist, from idolatry, do not aggress against them. This is indicated by the following words, there shall be no enmity, no aggression through slaying or otherwise, save against evildoers. Those that desist, however, are not evildoers and should not be shown any enmity. Surat Al-Baqarah (The Cow) 2:193 Tafsir al-Jalalayn Verse 2:193 Fight them until there is no [more] fitnah and religion and every kind of worship is for Allah alone. Quran 2:193 Explanation of verse 2:193 (Fight against those who believe not in Allah, nor in the Last Day, nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth among the People of the Scripture,) This honorable Ayah was revealed with the order to fight the People of the Book, after the pagans were defeated, the people entered Allah's religion in large numbers, and the Arabian Peninsula was secured under the Muslims' control. Allah commanded His Messenger to fight the People of the Scriptures, Jews and Christians, on the ninth year of Hijrah, and he prepared his army to fight the Romans and called the people to Jihad announcing his intent and destination. The Messenger sent his intent to various Arab areas around Al-Madinah to gather forces, and he collected an army of thirty thousand. Some people from Al-Madinah and some hypocrites, in and around it, lagged behind, for that year was a year of drought and intense heat. The Messenger of Allah marched, heading towards Ash-Sham to fight the Romans until he reached Tabuk, where he set camp for about twenty days next to its water resources. He then prayed to Allah for a decision and went back to Al-Madinah because it was a hard year and the people were weak, as we will mention, Allah willing. "The Order to fight People of the Scriptures until They give the Jizyah". Tafsir ibn Kathir
@Friendly Exmuslim I think a person can choose peace or violence and support it with Islamic scriptures. If a person like peace, he will choose from the peaceful side and if the person is violent he choose from the violent side. The problem is when a person that is on the peace side decide to switch over to the violence side. The two sides are all valid options that can be supported with Islamic scriptures. And when it comes to interpretation, the interpretation cannot go against the teachings of the prophet. In my opinion, I think the best interpretation will be the interpretation by the prophet and the best generation of Muslims instead of modern day scholar that invent new things and add them to Islam. It is THE Islamic follower ! No pretence. Very genuine. Therefore the Ummat generously supports ! Whatever the fault line , it is in text and can't just blame its students . Taliban means student, you know !😎
If the Quran really was godly revelations it would be perfect Perfect means absolute morality: it's not, it's very misogynistic Perfect means it would be so clear that no misinterpretation would be possible: and as this video demonstrates there are so many contradicting interpretations
Agree with you that there is no one true version of Islam but do you agree that Islam being basically based on the Quran and hadith is not a peaceful religion anyway you look at it.
So you agree that it's futile, as a non-Muslim, to try to argue that some Muslims are interpreting the Qur'an or the Hadith wrong, or that they should choose a different, more peaceful interpretation because it's possible? It's all moot, because Muhammad clearly wasn't a prophet, and that's the message that should be promoted. But I think it'd be kinda hypocritical of a Christian or a Jew to say that Islam is made up. To some extent, all god-believers help perpetuate the idea that there's an invisible ethereal ultimate authority whose commands are above all human laws, and that some things can and even should be held as true without evidence. All unfounded assertions should be questioned, even if they are called "religion" and held "sacred" by billions.
I agree with you! Taliban' s version of Islam is only just as false as the "liberal " version of Islam ! Or just as true ! Out and out falsehoods such as Islam ( and other religions ) , can have many versions ,believed to be " true" or "false" by its followers, , as opposed to objective, scientific "truths" : which can have one version , at least in principle!

What I condemn Islam for is the evil it produces while claiming to be from allah. It teaches bigotry and violence to spread the message of allah. The real Jesus taught us to be peaceful and turn the other cheek. Not so with Islam. It is a faith of retribution.

I love and accept "The Man Made Nonesense" Line. What surprises me though is the fact that it facinates millions of academically educated folks without any apparent effort to question it.
Haha yeah
It baffles me that for all their takbir they never seem to notice how their vision of god is so... small
The fact that it's vague and susceptible to violent interpretations is itself a major strike against Islam. If it truly came from god, the wouldn't be debate about any verses
Wow.
These were many, many words for:
"Yes. The Taliban version is one very valid interpretation of Islam. "
Taliban is pure Jihadist.
I would also like to know what do the fundamentalist Muslims mean when say: That Muslim women’s have basic rights according to the framework of Islam “.
That's a good question I'll try to respond
Are you saying
All arabs are liars and cheats .. and they have always been ?...???
Peaceful presentation 🥰
Thank you! 😃
Sameer, it is called MIRACLE OF INTERPRETATION
Excellent as always AS
I don't believe in Islam eventhough I'm practicing. I have never heard about this one, could you please explain?
Abdullah Sameer is a very wise man and comes with actual facts which no men neither Muslim or not can deny even though many will try off course.
Keep up the good work Abdullah Sameer!!
Peace be upon you
Quran 8:12 "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelievers. Therefore strike off their hands and strike off every fingertip of them"

I'm sure Allah is upset that his perfect Quran, "where not a word has been changed" is being changed. Appears that there are numerous Quran over the ages and all are different. That includes those
There is no Allah but death Mohammad.
Love all your shows.. keep it up.
Thanks!
Why would God send a revelation which has so much that is unclear or able to be understood in so many different ways? Why would God sow so much uncertainty?
very great explanation 👍👍
take care brother and please don't stop to help our Muslim brother and sister to leave Islam,
God Bless all of us💪❤
The quran has never changed.
They just employ these defences when caught:
1. The meaning is different in Arabic.
2. The Hadiths are weak and not to be relied on
3. The meaning changed over the years in Arabic
4. The meaning is taken out of context ( never mind Quran is meant for all times)
5. The verses were abrogated by Allah ( though the Quran was revealed in a short span of 22 years)
6. No such Hadiths exists
7. Sirahs( Auto biographies of Mohammad)have no strong validity
Muslims never lie .
Wow what a genius video Abdullah! Kudos.
This. One of the reason i left islam. So many different interpretation by scholars.
Exactly.
If God is true, he will against religion because religion is a politics and a business to benefit a particular section of people whereas God belongs to each and every creature.
According to the "thumbs down" numbers, 8 viewers suffer from extreme cognitive dissonance.
Totally agree, the fact that it is open to interpretation suggests that it, like do many other religions, are man made nonsense. 1 new subscriber!

Abdulla well done very balanced talk don't forget to say that Taliban translates into English as STUDENT, from Al Fadi
After waiting over 200k years since modern humans appeared , civilizations came, gone and buried..now aloha decides to introduce himself but it's already time to wrap up? Bad planner.
Even the new testament spoke of the end times as though they were right around the corner, widows were encouraged not to remarry etc
@@shinobi-no-bueno exactly.
Thank you for your work
You are very welcome
Indeed! Big love and respect from Calgary Canada

Every Jew: the Ten Commandments
Every Christian: Jesus died for our Sins
Every Muslim: Muhammad was a prophet..
Was he a moral prophet...? and do you accept his “mortality”?
Let's see, what we are told that a muslim is and if the Taliban qualifies
1: Believe that allah is one god...check
2: Believe that mohammad is a messenger....check.
Hmm, it seems to me that they must be if they believe both things.
9:29
"Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture - [fight] until they give the jizyah willingly while they are humbled."
9:28
"O you who have believed, indeed the polytheists are unclean, so let them not approach al-Masjid al-Haram after this, their [final] year. And if you fear privation, Allah will enrich you from His bounty if He wills. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Wise."
A pluralistic, tolerant, love thy neighbor, islam can't be interpreted from even just the koran, let alone the hadith.
Keep up the good work brother.
Please make regular vedios or atleast a bit more 😃 we love you works ❤️
Hello my brother! I love you! ❤️
Thank you for this great insight!
1:49 “usulah feq” (sp?) Is this what is referred to as abrogation?
Usul al fiqh. Islamic jurisprudence
What a mess. impossible to be truly messianic. It boils down to human conduct. "With or without religion, good people can behave well, and bad people can do evil; but for good people to do evil-that takes religion" (Steven Weinberg).
I think there is a correct interpretation of Islam. Mufti Layth's trajectory hermaneutics argument for slavery is simply false
Islam is like a Pick and Mix store. Muslims believe what they want to believe.
Nice hair cut bro :)
The question is silly. Fundamentalism means true. By definition.
Good points
There is no fundamentalist or moderate Islame, just Islame.
To answer your first question, *YES*!
When I was young , I thought that The Quran was sent directly by Allah as a book
Sorry to break your heart - its not
1.8 billion interpretations and arguments lol.
Even ex muslims earn money just by talking about Islam...lol..so pathetic
Then what the hell are muslim youtubers doing. If you don't have counterarguments, please don't play cheap tricks
i could live with such a version of Islam. the reason why i dislike it so much is because of all the HATE it has in it, and promoted by prominent figures like Ali Dawah and Muhammad Hijab.
Those variations and interpretations you cite are of little importance to non-Muslims. the ones that are important are that which is related to killing apostates, slavery, treatment of women, treatment of none Muslims seem to be pretty clear. remove the state power Islam would collapse
In a twitter-sized sentence: what do you reply when someone claims: They (the ISIS et al) are "missunsing" the Islam?
People in a position of power in a religion will use the parts that religion that suits them to maintain that power. They "cherry pick" what suits them.
Misusing is the wrong way to think about it.
I would respond
These groups are Using Islam to justify their position.

Quran 9:29
Explanation of verse 9:29
Allah then commanded fighting the disbelievers when He said:
(...until there is no more Fitnah) meaning, Shirk. This is the opinion of Ibn Abbas, Abu Al-Aliyah, Mujahid, Al-Hasan, Qatadah, Ar-Rabi, Muqatil bin Hayyan, As-Suddi and Zayd bin Aslam.
Allah's statement:
(...and the religion (all and every kind of worship) is for Allah (Alone).) means, So that the religion of Allah becomes dominant above all other religions.' It is reported in the Two Sahihs that Abu Musa Al-Ashari said: "The Prophet was asked, O Allah's Messenger! A man fights out of bravery, and another fights to show off, which of them fights in the cause of Allah' The Prophet said:
(He who fights so that Allah's Word is superior, then he fights in Allah's cause.) In addition, it is reported in the Two Sahihs:
(I have been ordered (by Allah) to fight the people until they proclaim, `None has the right to be worshipped but Allah'. Whoever said it, then he will save his life and property from me, except for cases of the law, and their account will be with Allah.)
The Order to fight until there is no more Fitnah
Tafsir Ibn Kathir
Fight them till there is no sedition, no idolatry, and the religion, all worship, is for God, alone and none are worshipped apart from Him; then if they desist, from idolatry, do not aggress against them. This is indicated by the following words, there shall be no enmity, no aggression through slaying or otherwise, save against evildoers. Those that desist, however, are not evildoers and should not be shown any enmity.
Surat Al-Baqarah (The Cow) 2:193
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
Verse 2:193
Fight them until there is no [more] fitnah and religion and every kind of worship is for Allah alone.
Quran 2:193
Explanation of verse 2:193
(Fight against those who believe not in Allah, nor in the Last Day, nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth among the People of the Scripture,) This honorable Ayah was revealed with the order to fight the People of the Book, after the pagans were defeated, the people entered Allah's religion in large numbers, and the Arabian Peninsula was secured under the Muslims' control.

Violent islam .... not Peaceful Religion
What is your qualification to comment on Islamic Shariah ?
And what's ur qualifications
Let's discuss here
Thanks.

Perfect means it would be so clear that no misinterpretation would be possible: and as this video demonstrates there are so many contradicting interpretations

Agree with you that there is no one true version of Islam but do you agree that Islam being basically based on the Quran and hadith is not a peaceful religion anyway you look at it.
3:08 I think mohamed said that because the streets were dirty.
But now some people are taking it without context, and as if mohamed was a truthsayer
If any religion makes you violent, you’re not doing “religion” properly.
it depends on what the religion is about
