Passed this morning with 5 minors! Thanks for everything Travis, all your videos have helped so much and will continue to compliment my independent practice! :)
Learn-to-drive Travis I did my first drive yesterday without an instructor I was a nervous wreck will the nerves go the more I drive and then I could start enjoying driving
Hi Travis! I’ve found your videos really helpful but failed my test yesterday and confused about what the right thing to do is. I was stopped on left hand side of road but road was narrow with oncoming traffic, hence my stationary car was causing a block in road behind. I prepared car then indicated with vehicles waiting behind. As I set off a van came pass and examiner said I caused it to swerve hence serious fault. Should I have just sat there for ages until all traffic from behind had come around me? Then indicated when nothing obviously near coming from behind?!
Hi, it’s a tricky situation you were in. From what you said: you were on the left of a narrow road with cars passing towards you on the right and cars behind you on the left, waiting to go. This is what I would of done(which sounds the same), do your 5 point check and if there is no sign of the cars behind you clearing then, signal, but be carful of any gaps in the oncoming cars, this will give an opening for cars behind you to overtake you. If no gaps in oncoming cars, keep an eye on your right blind spot for movement behind you and stop if any sign of cars trying to overtake you.
Hello there! Can i ask if on the test i need to pull on the left. Before when I rejoin the traffic do I need to indicate or not? Because my instructor sad I don't need to because I can confuse the other drivers
Passed my driving test first time on Monday with only 5 minor faults. One of those faults was for moving off. I was parked on the left and there was a parked car on the right side of the road and a car was coming towards me and obviously they had to go around the parked car (not really onto my side of the road because there was still enough space for both of us) but I moved off and at the end of the test, the examiner said that I should have probably stopped just to be safer. I didn't move off quickly though, I slowed down but I agree with him, I should have probably just waited until the car had went past to move off.
Very helpful video. I have been watching your videos which has helped me with things I have been unsure of when driving. My driving test is in 2 weeks so hopefully I will pass it after watching your videos and all of the private practice I have had along with my lessons
Thank you so much for your videos I had my test this morning and passed first time your videos have been amazing and very useful I will recommend my friends to watch thank you 🚗😊
You're welcome :) There is one thing that i would like to see, not sure if anybody else has the same problem but it's knowing when to change gear going uphill, i'm always worried that i'm going to change too early and then end up messing everything up haha.
for anyone who needs guidance in this area, basically you are doing a hill start when you are on a hill. A hill means the ground is not level. Hope this helps.
TheNamron1997 so am i 😢 im worried about being to nervous rushing and making a mistake i hate this so much stress really just want to pass keep me updated and good luck
You can do it!!! Take ur time don't rush and remember observations observations observations. The examiner doesn't want to fail you. They want to see that you can drive safely. If you do drive safely you will pass. All the best !!!

As usual good advice, even though passed 1 year I still struggle with hill start. Need to remember to keep checking blind spots.

Learn-to-drive Travis thanks Travis! Next test in a couple of weeks. Will be trying this out on the road. Keep up the excellent content :) Gemma
Also, if you are waiting to move off and there is a couple of cars behind you, just let them go. Good luck on your driving test.
