Mets are 15-4 in their last 19. That's tough to do even if they haven't mostly played juggernauts...Padres aren't trash. Yankees were division leaders. They swept washington who is surprisingly decent.

Russo's whole mantra is if a team hasn't won in the past then he won't believe in them at all and vice versa....e.g. Guardians, Astros. He has places all emphasis on the past and has no capability to analyze a team/player in their current state.
How can you give credit to a team that hasn't won anything yet? The Orioles had a chance last year after winning over 100 games.. and they choked!!
We have plenty of pitching in our system. Starting and relief wise. As someone who bleeds Mets blue and orange and follows our upper minor league affiliates intently, I could absolutely tell you with almost ABSOLUTE certainty that Russo clearly does not know what he is talking about and is clearly being lazy here. We could significantly improve our offense and our pitching without even making a trade to add exterior help from another organization. Just by staying in house. And if this is not rich,I don’t know what is. LGM!!!!

Wells (C), Rice (1B), my grandmother (2B), Volpe (SS), DJ (3B), Verdugo (LF), Judge (CF), Soto (RF) - and please, more practice in right field - Soto looks unathletic - slow. Volpe is the spark plug for this team - he goes, they go. BRING UP THE FARM SYSTEM.
