I have finally caught up with the vlogs!!! 😀 I have loved watching them, showing your highs and lows. Running a business, family life ( which is wholesome to see) and TOP BRINK. So You may have mentioned it a couple of times and I went for a drive last week to Gordon Riggs and stumbled across a sign for Top Brink, .. So off I ventured, scoped it out, and the following weekend I told my family Where I would like to go for my birthday tea. None of us had been before and OMG!! we will definitely be going again. 😀
Love this cake and glad your feet are ok now. I would love to do my models directly on the cake but i am to slow. Minimum one hour for one topper. But sometimes i do the legs last minute so it fits better on the cake. Thanks for all the tips ❤❤
Yes, some of my models take that long too, I try to get the whole base of the cake done by Wednesday/Thursday so I have Thursday/Friday for model time :D x
Oh Tracey! Infected ankles sound horrible! 11 weeks ago I broke my ankle the morning of a cake class I was running. Thankfully I had a very understanding client and the best cakie friends who came to the rescue. So glad your feet are feeling better. 😊

Firstly, love the vlog and the cake heavy content, but I’ve also subscribed to Cherry Rambles (up to 102 subscribers now, so well done!). Unsurprisingly, considering the state of your feet, there’s still no content and the irony of you launching the channel on this vlog when you can’t walk isnt lost on me 😮🤣. I was really worried about you. The same thing happened to me when I had some cracked skin underneath my little toe so I know how painful it is, plus scary. I panicked about mine being sepsis and blood poisoning as the redness started to creep up my foot and ankle. In my head I was shouting at you to go get antibiotics straight away, but I also appreciate the pressure to get a cake finished and I really don’t miss that side of cake making. I once put my back out really badly and somehow managed to make a heavily decorated 2 tier cake, not fun!!!! No idea how you remained so calm and cheery, amazing 😮👏🏼. Well done, cake was fabulous x
PAHAHAHHA yes! Finally a video has now gone up just last night :D Yes, they told me to watch out for symptom changes etc so it was just a case of getting those antibiotics in! Luckily they finally took hold and reversed it xxx
I’m not good at time management, also I have anxiety issues, so I prefer to make decorations in advance. If for some reason I need to adjust the shape and it’s too hard I pop it in the microwave a couple secs and I’m able to adjust the shape. In terms of the size, I have a general range that I know my cakes would be so I’m able to average pretty well. This allows me to commence decorations, for the most part, as soon as customers have paid so I can fit in as much orders as possible. On collection day all that’s left to do is cover the cake in fondant and place designs on. Everyone has different methods with the 1 goal, a well done cake creation 👌🏾Do what works for you 😊
