I love how jittery and nervous they seem when talking about their sex scenes. hahahahhaa. This cast is refreshingly down to earth. I love it. And Freya has the most interesting way of talking. I can't tell if its her accent or if that's just her way of speaking.

@tapat88 lmao I think you misunderstood everything I tried to say. When I said friends I meant their characters in the show were friends. The actors I have no clue what they were. In gen 2 I didn't believe that any of those characters would interact with each other based on who they are. But in Generation 1(My favorite), and generation 3(My 2nd favorite) you believe the CHARACTERS as friends who would hang out. And who said wanted negativity I want people to agree lol

yeah i was bummed when that happened we all know that in every series they kill off a character but i was never expecting it to happen so early of the season
I really dont want to say that skins promotes teenagers to do the same things as the characters on the show, but im putting it out there that I know people as well as myself that have been influenced.

@tapat88 thing, there was no group evolution like in gen 1 and 3. They don't need to focus on the friendships just don't make me have to constantly ask the characters "why do you still hang out with them?". And yea sure its part of the story but make it believable. What is a giant 4 eyed mutant appeared on the show out of nowhere with no explanation? You can'y just say it's part of the story, make me believe it

you see it was part of her personality. she sued to think everything in he life was to be perfect and she thought she was above anyone else. she initially wanted to be friends with effy coz she was popular. its all in their characters. also, she was never really around anyone except with effy, freddie and emily! they were in the same class of course you'd see them share the same space but never in a real conversation.

about the movie, im pretty sure gen 2 is the center. based on the interviews and other stuff, the story will center on gen2 and more precisely it may start after cook found out about freddies' death. thus, the weird ending finale for gen 2. gen 1 had a great finale for their gen but gen 2 ended with a major cliffhanger. the directors themselves meant to do that for the introduciton to the movie.

while in gen 3, some were already friends. it was only during the last part of gen 2 that real friendships developed as a whole. i think the creators went into that direction for gen 2. gen 3 is kind of like gen 1 than gen 2. but tbh, s5 wasnt really that good in showing the friendships as well coz the girls kept backstabbing and fighting too. Liv and Mini. Nick was only part of the group during the end. i don't know. I think each gen has their own strengths and weakness.
They're definitely right about it being a whole different show.

pandora and effy were friends before college before the whole pandora sleeping with cook thing. the 3 musketeers were genuinely friends before effy happened. katie and emily were okay before naomi happened. and naomi was a loner. the thing is, someone got in the way of those original friendships. they hang out becoz in the start they were forced to be in the same group by circumstances. i agree that katie never became good friends with anyone but in the ending that changed.

also, just to point, in reality i dont think the mean girls or popular crew in school especially in high school would hand out with nerds and metal heads and stuff. i mean for me its not realistic. coz usually cool kids hang out with cool kids and vice versa. right? especially in the US. So i think one of the issues for gen 3 was that some of them would not really be real friends in real life. Gen 2 were mostly cool ones and the popular ones in their school. so yeah.

you were implying that gen 2 never had great scenes with friendships??? what about cook/naomi in s4e3? katie/effy s4e4, effy/naomi s3e7 emily/jj s3e7 thomas/emilys3e9, katie/thomas s4e4, cook/freddie s4e5, and etc. they had good scenes. at the end, you could also see they trully have become friends. thegen finale might not have been great, but it showed us that these kids can be okay and that they have become close.
@tapat88 fast but at least their interactions afterwards made you believe these characters would get along. Like Alo and Nick had a good moment, mini and franky had several, who could be mad at Grace, Matty ad Liv help rich with his problems. So they don't feel like people just written to be together and instead just people that actually like each other

@tapat88 because people aren't just friends for no reason and not talk to each other until the next year so thats unrealistic. Gen 3 are friends because mini felt bad and wanted to give a peace offering, grace , fine matter of opinion, matty is in because nick actually said hey hang out with my friends and he dated someone in the group so he'd naturally melt in. And sure they may have all had friends before the whole group formed but once it did they were ALL assholes to each other, no one

haha yeah your're right. i kinda got carried away there. yeah people were right. skins fans are really protective over which gen they like. hehe. i dont really want to argue about gen 1 coz they really were the ones who started it all so they were groundbreaking. even if i love gen 2 more, i know for afact that a the success of skins would not have started if it werent for gen 1 so yeah. on your analaysis about the transformers franchise, i guess you coulkd say that

Yeh for me it seemed the gen 2 cast where really close especially the girls. you could see in the photos that they are close. they are even hanging up till now even if skins is already over.

you don't get my point. just like the same way you connected the friendhsips between gen 3. gen 2 also had those connection with each other. the 3 musketeers then cook hooks up with effy so they form a group. katie wants to be friends with effy so she goes with her hroup bringing emily with her. thomas gets invo0lved with pandora so he gets in the group too. naomi ends up with them coz no matter what she said and even if she was a loner... she secretly wanted to be with emily.
@tapat88 I agree.i really do hope that the producers pull it together and try to revamp the show.and that meabs a total recast and a complete story change with people WHO CAN ACTUALLY ACT lol.i,believe they can do it if they tried.im forgiving.this season hasnt gone on enough for people to not forget them.they were abismal.easily forgotten.they need,to come back with something great or they might as well just notshoot another season cos noone will watch it.even die hard fans are over it lol

Ah okay. Sorry. I might have misunderstood. In a way, i think the friendships between the gen 1 cast in the show were the strongest. I agree that gen 2 in general did not focus on the friendship part. they focused on the pairs and triangles tbh. Thats why naomily and freffy were popular. the pairings were gen 2's strongest. In their defense, they did not start as friends in the beginning unlike gen 1 and some of gen 3. in gen 1 everyone knew each other from the start.
@tapat88 I fell bad for you because in my school in NY people hang out with who they want to we didnt have a hierarchy system for coolness everyone was pretty much on the same level. Bu In gen 2 it's dumb because they all openly hate each other and for some reason they end up being the only people they hang out with. Why would they be with only each other so much if they literally all hate each other. And in gen 3 they get along as a group and past they're popularity levels they're people who I

in regards to gen 3, i think their bondage or closeness was forced so early. i mean you cant be suddenly friends in only an episode especially between mean girls and the good ones??? seriously mini being friends all of a sudden with alo and nick and franky in liv's episode is so out of the blue and can i say that she was doing it becoz she had bad intentions. i mean they became real friends at the end of s5 but i think 8 episodes was not enough to give the friendships more time.
@tapat88 I see your point.but as far as,the cast looks,they arent at all unattractive but they lack substance and thats a major issue.take the cast of misfits.they re the same as this cast looks wise but they CAN actually act lol and have depth and something to them that makes them more attractive.tgey are slso original.i really,feel like its over for skins now.or the producers will have,to do some major damage control and get all new and fresh people and cast working on the show
she like a tonsil only there for decoration lol oh i know that really sucks Matty was really in love with Franky but so was Nick thats really brutal for 2 brothers....and i must agree Grace and Rich hands down my fav couple from the whole series

but the high rating for gen 2 doesnt mean nothing. coz the fact that they were able to get their target audience higher than gen 1 did means that people are interested in them right? also, they had consistent ratings... gen 1 didnt. why would people watch a show consistently if they didnlt like it or was intigued by it. i guess teeneagers were more addicted to gen 2 but the majority or the older fanbase will always like the original better. again, personal preference.
@tapat88 I think I'm the most normal Skins fans because I'm not deluded. I like all gens, I don't get overprotective, I just watch the show because I like it.

as well. i don't see much videos of gen 3 cast interacting outside skins??? except t4 w/c is still related to skins. again, im not gonna fight which gen is better on skins we have our own favorites. its just that it seems you based your assumptions on your favoritism to gen 3. again, im sorry if i got you pissed or something. i kind of like gen 3 too and gen 1 as well. i get that you like gen 3 more but atleast don't be close minded & say things out of fact based on u being biased.

seriously dude, they may have ahd different reasons and connections but gen 3 and gen 2 became a group because its in the story of the show. if they didnt hang out, no matter how different their personalities were, then whats the point of skins being around them right??? i agree that gen 2 did not focus entirely on the friendshiops but you cant tell me that they werent friends no matter how fucked up they were. they all came together in the end. thats what mattered.

they were the cool kinds in school so they'd think to hang out with the other ones. like i said, each one had their own reasons to get into their group! you're saying gen 3 became friends in the finale as well. well i wont argue with that. but the fact is, answer my question... WHY DID GEN 3 BECAME FRIENDS IN THE FIRST PLACE? WHAT REASONS AND CIRCUMSTANCES? that same reasoning can be answered by how gen 2 came into a group in the first place. its college.

haha i think effy being crazy was the direction they wanted?. not sure. but she was getting better i guess on the last episode. just needed friends i guess. still she is a very broken character. Pandora.. i think she was funny. series 4 needed her becuase it was dark. i think her missing in s4 in most scenes was the idea becoz any scene pandora is in...it becomes lighter. so yeah. I just wish cook didnt die on the finale with dr. foster. cant watch the movie if hes not in there.

but you see, gen 2 started with one series 3 first, if it was hard to introduce gen 3 then it was harder for gen 2 becoz people were so hooked by gen 1. but gen 2 ended up getting their own fanbase, and i guess regardless of facts about their strong ratings and etc and my own biase, it really depends on the person who you like more.

haha yeah i think the point of being effy is being mysteriious and stuff. and i think she fuck cook becoz she didnt want complications and stuff. but i still didnt get how she loved freddie. they barely spoke? i think they wanted us to believe they had this "connection" but people also didnt get how two people who barely spoke loved each other so much and was this great love story???. kinda like matty and franky? yeah i hope he didnt die! i would really want to see him again!

Its too late to revamp coz series 6 was commisioned the same time as series 5. Basically they have no choice but to continue with this cast. I heard from dakota's interview that theyll probably get more dramatic and darker next series. haha i thought they werent gonna do that anymore coz they said s4 was too dark.

I think gen 3 lacked some group dynamics sometimes as well maybe becoz it only had 8 episodes. they had the same problem with s4 who only had 8 episodes too. Also, in my opinion at the latter part of s5, they focused on the triangles w/c i think in gen 2 was a weak storyline especially the effycookfreddy triangle in series 3. they were the mian storyline and yet naomily came on top for gen 2. thats a fact i can't lie about. still, i don't have anything bad about gen 3 in general.

haha... yeah im a bit overprotective over gen 2. but its not like im saying all the time that gen 3 sucks or gen 1 wasnt that so good for me... its just that i prefer gen 2 more. also, i usually don't argue with people who prefers other gens except when they're saying something completely rubbish about gen 2 or something unbelievable over their preferred gen. we are after all entitled to our own preferences. still, i adore skins in general. its the best teen show EVER for me!

if what you're saying is true, then why did gen 2 became the most successful gen and has the largest fanbase? the movie is even centeres around them. not in a million years will the movie be centered in gen 3. the fact that gen was successful proves some of my points and yours inaccurate.

for me there were also weird friendships from gen 1 and 3. but of course as you say people twnd to be friends sometimes with people that are not the same as them. people say gen 2 was close to realistic but others say they don't. i think it just depends on how one looks at the situation. just like how you and i differ from our undersatnding and preferences fore each gen. thats all. in reality, friends sometimes can hate each other and their bonds will differ.

Haha Oh really? In my school we didnt really have heirarchies as well. I was just saying that in most schools, its quite prevallent that cool kids hang out with cool one. but of course its not the same in every school. I don't think they all hate each other. its just the circumstances and the things that come between them. ou can't tell me that in one point the girls and guys from gen 1 and 3 didnt hate each others guts even though they still cared about each other???
@tapat88 well it worked for me and sure you can be friends and hate each other but in gen 2 they never became friends before they started hating each other or afterwards. Katy was never friends with effy or pandora or thomas or cook or freddie(until they dated) or jj or naomi... so why was she always around them. The same can be said for just about all of them, they hang out with people they don't talk to or bond with and it feels so forced. At least in gen 3 sure they became friends really

Obviously they want the ratings to go up.. coz shock values most of the time get the ratings... but theyre forgetting the acting capabilities of the cast are needed there... which this current cast lack big time. Plus people need to love or know the characters first before they take a series darker. That's what they did on gen 2...brilliantly and perfectly. People don't like this cast so much so i don't know where they will get the viewers to watch there more darker series 6 tbh.
@UpForRansom I wasn't reffering to fashion or phrases. If Effy sleeps with 2 guys in a day, it doesn't mean that I have to do the same. If 8 teenagers take a lot o drugs, I don't have to do the same thing with my gang.

I mean yeah not all cast look good or attractive initially right... i mean take Sid for example... in real life he would have seemed normal or average but in skins for me he became quit attractive in his own unique way... maybe because of the acting and stuff. So yeah I guess it all depends on the acting which this gen 3 lack atm. Sadly i think skins golden era is over as well...along with its ratings and popularity. Sadly series 6 will continue with its current cast. i say goodluk!
I hate wen ppl moan bout how its all bout the original they were good but u have to except new characters = change and just like how they said its a completely different show cos of that and their not just gonna just imitate past characters and be like them they have to step out of the shadow of the past skins ppl just to attached to past characters

make time to see each other. the girls are especially close. if you happen to browse on their tweeters or fbs or any fan website you could see what im coming from. im not saying gen 3 are not close, its just that you seem to be so biased. i can be biased too, but im basing on facts. if you don't believe what im saying then follow gen 2 cast, watch vids of them interacting, etc. a lot of people are fans of gen 2 cast not only becoz of their characters but as their individuals

But seriously? you're saying that the gen 2 cast were not really friends? are you blind? out of all the casts, gen 2 were the closest! you can see it in their interviews and the way they are with each other. up til now they are still really close and they meet up every now and then. some of them are really busy but they still...

@tapat88 Yea freddie was not good but overall they were ok Im a biased opinion though because I hate Pandora and effy as characters so I wasn't paying attention to their acting, JJ didnt blow me away, Thomas was ok, the twins and naomi were alright. However the saving grace of gen 2 James Cook will be a huge star one day. His acting was flawless
@tapat88 well yea she's supposed to be crazy but I kinda wish we got some more background on why she was crazy because in season 3 I just felt like she did stuff with no explanation, he sessions with foster shed some light on that but during 3 I was like you love freddie but fuck cook???? @tapat88 Yea he really is sometimes I still rewatch his last speech to dr foster just because it was done so well. But yea effy was kinda too crazy for me to come near and pandora was just too goofy she seemed more like a cartoon character to me lol

haha hm i liked every character. but of course i have favorites. and a lot of those reasons were because of their acting chops and chemistry. Effy will always be a legend in the skins fandom coz she was the only one to ever be shown on gen 1 and 2. Of course, James Cook!!! haha. I loved his character esepcially in s4. I like Pandora and thomas but i kinda hate JJ. I have my reasons. The twins and naomi are also gen 2's main weapons especially naomily. Jack O'Connell is a god.

well, i really cant argue about series 4. i loved episodes 1-4. and scenes from 8 but the others were not good for me. series 4 was so character centered. still, in general i liked it. i felt so many emotions and as depressing at it was, it was good acting for me. you cant seriously tell me that gen 3 actors were better than gen 2??? gen 1 had great actors but i found some of them average. im not saying gen 2 didnt have one(*cough* freddie.) but for me they were decent to great.
i was really hoping that this season was gonna be different and no one would be killed off i loved everyone they were all awesome but if i had to choose one to have died i think it would of been i think it would been Liv idk why lol but i think it should of been her

I kind of liked this gen 3 a bit too but if you havent watched the previosu gens i suggest you give it a try too. For me, personally, gens 1 and 2 were a lot better. But yeah we all have different tastes.

Yeah I think continuing with this latest cast would be a lot harder in terms of getting the audience back and ratings up again. Well they cant really expect to get ratings as high as gen 2 had but probably higher than their average ratings might be okay. Plus the writers really need to get their acts up and do something with the character development. And i might sound shallow, if the cast were a little bit more attractive i guess the audience might have sticked a little more maybe.
