This was the final scene, from the final show. (no - there were 4 more). She and her brother are estranged. They have just had an argument that ended badly. But in true sibling nature, they find a moment of common ground in a song they sang as kids. Wow, I miss this show! (and all the Stars Hollow denizens who dropped in)
such a good feel good show! it was a way to totally escape from the reality of being an adult! the brother had hidden her ukulele from her, told her it got broken or destroyed when she was in sophomore year of High School.it was her way of self soothing from the tribulations of her dysfunctional family.he took it, hid it, & through the course of their evening together he returned it.ashamed that he'd lied & what it did to change her life direction. She gets very angry & goes and sits on the steps telling him to basically leave ASAP & don't darken her doorstep again! she proceeds to go sing this song, he chimes in & while wounds are not completely healed they were closing! it was a very emotional show that night!!😭....it gave me such solice this show....i too returned to dysfunction junction but unfortunately my solice as a teen was Ballet....hard to return when you've not danced in over 30+ years....😭😞😭
Thank you for posting this song! It was a perfect scene, like they weren't in the same scene, but drawn together in some childhood dance. Even more poignant (now) knowing they are real siblings.
Nope P and P weren't the first. This goes back to the early 1900's and as someone here posted, Gene Autry did a comer back in 1927! I don't care who covers it, as long as they keep doing it. This is one of those charming little songs, that should never fade into obscurity!
The one from American Horror Story is by the original artist Patience and Prudence. I agree it's kinda creepy. Check out the version by Zooey Deschanel & Ben Schwartz
Patience and Prudence were far from the original artist. They recorded it in 1956- 30 years after it's original release! Check out Gene Austin's 1927 recording. It's very different.
I will never be over this show.
sutton foster really deserved an award for this show

So adorable!
Cant stop listening to this haunting tune :3
Reminds me a bit of Steve Martin and Bernadette Peters singing on the beach. Without the horn, lol.

i miss bunheads
Why on earth did they cancelled this show?
i love this version better!
can we talk about the fact that Sutton Foster knows how to play the ukulele? 'cause I was not aware of that.
They actually canceled it officially in July. :(
And the version by Bernadette Peters and Steve Martin

Seem like a kool show
I sang this with my brother :-)
what happend to bunheads? :(
i dont know what happend
This made me really sad when I watched it, but I guess the song does have a melancholic tone.
Gene Austin, not Autry. Easy mistake to make tho.
Wow! That was.....depressing.
y dis show be cancell
That is not Michelle sound.
