One of the best video tutorials series I've seen, thanks so much!
Great video
Great video. I saw a small hatch of these this past week.
thanks for your assistance.i tried two of the fore mentioned companies.i will give Shannon's a try.
I love this stonefly pattern
Nice and easy fly well done.
Definitely going to try that one thanks
Glad you like the videos. Try Dan Bailey's, J. Stockard, and Feather-Craft for hooks and materials. Shannon's Fly and Tackle here in NJ also carries both products and they recently started and online store. Hope this helps.
We've had several requests now for Jacklin's March Brown Nymph and you're right it's a great pattern. I'm still hesitant to do the video though because he's already done one. Let me get back to you.
As a new fly tyer, I have found your videos very helpful - a huge thank you!
Would it be possible to list the materials you used in the video description as well? I tend to watch the video in full and then find myself re-watching and pausing so that I can write down the materials as you mention them.
Keep up the great work and quality videos!
I had an absolutely epic day with this fly today! It was not stop action for 3 straight hours! 21 landed fish lost a bunch and had a stretch of 7-7 in a row!
Awesome Vinny. It's getting to be the time of year where this fly works exceptionally well. The newest issue of Fly Tyer Magazine has a great article on tying it.
@@tightlinevideo I will look for that article
I use black brassie sized wire for the abdomen, caught personal best rainbow 10 years ago on the Yampa outside of Steamboat on a size 18 in April.
100th video! congratulations.
you can find good stretch tubing at bead stores. Lots of it for good prices and in many colors.
Great video. Can the pattern be tied with contrasting rubber legs (perhaps even speckled legs, like a Pat’s Rubber Legs pattern)?
Ok and thanks!
,one more question. if I take the fly tying varnish and empties into a small plastic container with neadle on top. I can get so that you have then? :)
Nice
your video's are great. however i cant find dai riki 285 hooks anywhere. there web site doesn't list them. also can't find dark hare's mask dubbing. can you lend a hand as to wher to purchase these products ? thanks
I’m having an issue with the antennas
not pointing more to the left and right they basically point straight out. How can I get them more angled out?
can you use anything as a substitute for the stretch tubing
You could try vinyl D Rib from Wapsi, but the stretch tubing really works well.
would peacock herl work?
BT Outdoors it would brew you'd have to use wire but it's worth trying to get the stretch tubing
Why you mash the barb on some of these flies?
Why do you mash the barb on the hook?
good fly ! can you try to tying the chez nymf next time ? :) sorry my english suck's i'm Norwegian
Can you make a video on how to setup a double nymph rig?
I can’t get one and not break off legs or antenna 😡🤬
