Tying The BEST Stonefly Nymph for Steelhead Trout

- Опубліковано 1 бер 2017
- This may be one of my last fly tying videos for awhile... it's time for fresh fishing videos! I thought it would be a relevant fly with late winter stonefly activity popping in many steelhead streams. This is my personal favorite stonefly nymph, it is the perfect balance of imitative and suggestive. My go-to fly for clear water steel.
Ingredients:
Size 8-12 3XL hooks
Tungsten Bead
Green Ultra Wire
Flash back material
Turkey biots
Peacock herl
Ice dub
Stay tuned for more fishing videos! (Should have one up by this weekend)
Thanks for watching! - Навчання та стиль
Looks like a killer. Have to tie some up for next season. Can't wait!
+TheOutdoorAngler Thanks , good luck!
A good habit is to wrap herls one direction then follow wire wrap in opposite direction. Imho makes fly more durable
Not sure if anyone gives a damn but if you are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch pretty much all of the new movies and series on Instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my gf for the last few weeks =)
@Ignacio Leonardo yea, have been watching on Instaflixxer for since december myself =)

+Luke R I'm going to do one for one of my streamer patterns that has been killing it this fall
What size Tungsten bead are you using?
Do you ever sell any of your flies? I'd take a dozen of these.
