Der Gerät bräuchte zwei Schalen, damit es den Boden direkt wieder in das alte Loch tuen kann wo vorher der Baum stand! Das wäre echt mal Bombe, keinerlei Arbeit mehr mit dem alten Boden, alles sofort sauber umgesetzt
Damit wäre die Maschine viel zu schwer und groß für nen praktischen Einsatz. Wenn man sauber arbeiten muss, kann man die Erde auch einfach auf nen LKW entladen, der die Erde dann gezielt abkippt.
Daniel Rose kann der rieseneisportionierer denn so hoch heben? Ich finds ja alles in allem eine geile Idee um Bäume schnell und gezielt zu verpflanzen, ich habe bisher nur kleinere Bäume mit unserem PC350 versetzt, mit der 2 mtr. Kelle in weichem Untergrund ziemlich problemlos... man muss halt natürlich mit dem Kettenbagger drankommen, einen solchen Aufbau habe ich selbst noch auf keinem lkw gesehen
Schau dir mal 17:57 an, der hat ne relativ hohe Reichweite. Bei nem Wechsellader mit flacher Mulde hat es auf jeden Fall bei einem vergleichbaren Fahrzeug gepasst. Wollten die Mulde eigentlich absetzen, ging dann aber auch so.
I saw this being done in Singapore in 1975, in the morning a road had no palm trees, and then 5pm the same day, the whole road had mature palm trees, really quite amazing to see and experience.

they made one mistake in not able to match the transplant as the dead recipient tree was growing along a slope, and the good healthy tree came from a flat ground, so now you can see a mismatch, which means to correct the problem you need to dig deeper and fill up some soil, or you will be left with a raised unlevel ground along the slope.

This is ridiculous. Big amount of dirt moved, but very shallow hole. Most trees have (and need) roots that extend 3 to 5 times deeper than that. No way that tree will be healthy (and any significant wind storm will topple it). Plus, who wants to clean the mess left at the 5'10" mark?
They have a machine for that.
2 men with showel will do the same job at simmilar pace, whats a point of investing in heavy machinery?
Think with this machine you can replace 10 trees per day.

I watched a truck move 30+ trees (4-6" caliber) across campus (about 1/4 mile) in the space of 4 hours when I was in college. After the first hole, it would take the dirt from each new hole and place it where it had taken the last tree.

Interesting. I am not an arborist but it seems to me that roots (large ones) extent far beyond the bucket diameter. For a palm tree that has about 10,000 roots, approx. 1 cm diameter , and they don't extent far beyond the bucket this is probably ideal. I wouldn't trust a transplanted tree like this in a hurricane.
First: No there are no hurricanes in Germany!
The tree is cut back so it won't need all of it's roots until they grow back.
Now that's a giant ice cream scoop! Cool tech though ;)

Eine Frage. Warum ein Tatra LKW? Weil er sich besonders dafuer eignet, oder der Preis ist guenstiger als bei anderen LKW-herstellern, oder Kombination von beidem?

bei uns hat es viele bäume da umgehauen samt wurzeln und zum großen teil mit straße. das wurzelwerk war hier auch so zurückgestutzt.
ich fahre mal vorbei und schau nach....

The carbon emitted by this truck to move this tree will take 12 years to be aspirated by this tree. Plant a small tree where the first hole was would be a better idea.
