    So this was totally amazing. At 12 I was reading Adele Davis and Gaylord Hauser. And so many of the names you mentioned have been on my chronological natural health spectrum. I asked my doctors about what the best way to eat is and it seems almost unanimous: no tobacco, alcohol or milk, very little if ANY meat and poultry, 75%-80% plant based and fish and/or fish oil for the Omega 3s and vitamin D1. Exercise is also paramount. Use ‘em or lose ‘em! I’m a nurse and have noticed that my elderly patients who are sedentary have muscle aches and their muscles get shorter from lack of use. You don’t have to go to the gym but walk! EVERYDAY! You’ll live longer and stay slim. Oh! And my slim patients who were former smokers live 8-20 years longer than my obese patients who never smoked. Also, try and take the least amount of medication possible; long term use of certain meds has side effects on the brain that are very noticeable.

    • @OlivierHokke

    Im no health expert but one thing I’ve learned from reading and listening is that health is not just about “diet”. Our relationship with people and our loved ones also plays a big part, some people have unhealed trauma and not being able to heal from it can cause lots of stress on the body. Stress also comes from other things not just unhealed trauma, like from work or simply being a people pleaser and not having the power to say NO! Also breathing! Meditating and practicing breath work is also very important because meditation alone can help with almost everything I listed besides the diet part. Exercise is also important. But if I had to chose just one thing from all this, is our relationship with people, you treat others and how you are treated! And lastly I’ll add having a connection with the Most High, which should really be the first thing in this list!

      @@PlantChompers yeah, because when people start a new diet they need to be shamed about "the planet". Its not that they are searching for a better health, no, there is the need for shaming them.
      Sure bringing fruits and vegetables in jet aircraft from the third world to your home and the monocrop grain cultures are saving the planet. Not to mention the gigant amount of waste a plant based diet generate, in rotted food and in plastic packaging.

This UA-camr is a hack, india has the largest vegan population in the world and one of the worlds lowest life expectancies, not to mention most the people listed where alcoholic, smokers or using drugs.

    Good and healthy entertainment. Thank you! Upcoming May will be my one year anniversary since I quit eating meat. I would very much like to become a vegan but as it still takes time and effort for me to find my balance within a low carb diet as a vegetarian I find that I can't rush into anything these days. I have huge respect and I admire everyone that manage to stay vegan and stays healthy And keep up on their energy without becoming insulin resistant or what not 💚😊🌿

    This isn't hard. Every long term study tells us what we don't want to hear. Give up meat and eat your veggies.

    • @carpediem6568
      @carpediem6568 3 роки тому

      @Evidence Based Health Of course that's not true. You just proved my point. In nutrition it's always what we don't want to hear. If one is advised to supplement a vegan or vegetarian diet, it's due to soil depletion. I don't want to give up meat any more than you do. I did it for health. And as soon as I did, my health greatly improved. I had given up red meat long ago and it didn't help.

    • @carpediem6568
      @carpediem6568 3 роки тому

      @Evidence Based Health My B12 supplement is vegetarian sourced. Iodine I get from iodized salt. Yes, soil depletion has made being vegetarian or vegan more difficult. The fish makes up the difference. Jack LaLane ate high quality fish several times a week and drank wine. But in the real world it doesn't work, not in the US. Once you start eating meat (fish) you end up eating all kinds of meat and it's in every meal. No one eats meat twice a week just like you can't smoke one cig a day. It doesn't work in the real world. There is only one Blue Zone in the whole US and it's because they don't open that door. They are vegetarians. Veganism doesn't work either, too hard. I'm lacto-ovo, successful and healthy. I had narrowed meat down to baked chicken but it showed up in every meal. My joints were killing me. Now I could play soccer or tennis all day. Maybe someday I'll try the fresh fish thing because it has merit. But it's also impractical here in the US. Right now I'm grateful for good health and once I found you don't have to eat salads all day it paved the way.

    • @carpediem6568
      @carpediem6568 3 роки тому

      @Palm Trees No, you are incorrect. As far as carcinogenic properties and artery cloggers, there is nothing more dangerous as meat. Read Dean Ornish's book on heart disease. He's the Mecca on the subject.

    • @carpediem6568
      @carpediem6568 3 роки тому

      @Palm Trees But statistics always show meat as "ravenous" to the body and way more die from it than from dairy. Braum's in the US sells their A2 milk which is more user friendly and more cow friendly. And there is lactose free. I drink and use some of both but not that much. The bad in dairy can be mitigated, I believe. Meat is just plain deadly.

    • @carpediem6568
      @carpediem6568 3 роки тому

      @Palm Trees Sounds like you have a sensitivity to dairy. We are all different. Might try lactose free dairy products, if you haven't already. And yes, most people in the US get more fat from dairy than anything. But everything I've seen says meat is a killer.
