Honestly this game is so underrated in terms of what Brady did. Everybody remembers the Butler interception which they should, but Brady was getting beat up all day and had the greatest fourth quarter in super bowl history against one of the top 5 defenses in NFL history
Brady threw two very costly interceptions in this game. The real heroes of the fourth quarter were the Patriot defense. After it was 24-14, they forced three consecutive punts on just ten plays.
@bad decision making Rob Low Sport lol your right WATCH them beat the rams.Hopefully they ACTUALLY PLAY TODD GURLEY not like the game against the saints when they barely used him.Rams should be able to win.
The brilliance of coach bellicheck to not call a time out to keep the Seahawks in hurry mode, caused that last play!! And butler to be aware enough, when the ball was snapped,to make a play Is just amazing!!! Great example of what good coaching can do! The defense the pats were in would have stopped them short for one final play, so the Seahawks ran the right play according to the defense. What a great game and what a victory by the two goats themselves
But they wasn’t in hurry mode at all 🤣💀 marshawn got tackled with 1 min left on the clock. 1 min. They didn’t run the next play until 25 seconds and that was the pick. If they would have actually hurried it up ran it again I bet they score but they took the time because Brady had 2 timeouts with about 40 seconds only needing a fg. That’s why I hate when people say “they didn’t have time to run the ball again they had to throw it” like bs they let 40 seconds run off the clock just trying to play keep away from Brady
Zane Negash he actually turned to one of the best corners for the next couple seasons. then he wanted money and belichick obviously doesn’t give out money.
I honestly got teary eyed for Butler at the end. He seems like an awesome guy, he went undrafted and when he was picked up by New England and still had almost no time to shine and then he makes that play at that moment and bring New England a Superbowl win. Now he's a top 5 cornerback. I got to admit as a Bills fan, if the Patriots were in another division or I was a fan of a different team they'd be my second favorite team no doubt. Before the play, I recall feeling irritation and disbelief as I backed up to lean against a wall, thinking, "Are they seriously going to lose another SB in miraculous, heartbreaking fashion?" I noticed that NE hadn't called a timeout, so my nervousness increased, because this was it. There wouldn't be enough time to tie the game. After the interception (the pass play didn't shock me, go figure), I gasped and quickly covered my mouth as I was stunned into silence for what felt like very protracted seconds. Yeah, kind of an odd reaction, but I was only a teenager (an emotional and introverted one). I remember my mom asking me if I was all right haha. I think I muttered something along the lines of "they did it" and cried a bit. But then I got worried about a potential safety. After Seattle was flagged for offsides, a feeling of exuberance and relief swept over me. That was my first true triumph as a sports fan. Somehow, there aren't many experiences as euphoric!

I know it's late but after Brady retired and rewatching this and the falcons game. He's the same player in both, when Tom Brady needs a touchdown to win he just doesn't miss throws or make mistakes, everything is perfect. It's uncanny, it's like watching a perfect chess AI play against a child.
@@matthewc.1194 There is a lot of suspicion when it comes to a lot of Pat games. Not saying that's the reason they win, but Pat games DO generally have the most crazy unheard of things happen in their games.
Had a minute, three downs, a timeout in hand, and threw a slant pattern on the goalline. Even if you don't run the ball, why isn't Russell Wilson, arguably the most elusive QB in football, not in motion to possibly run himself if there's nothing open? Just remains the single worst decision in NFL history.
@Ta-Kuan Fuan NO. NO. NO. YOU RUN ON SECOND DOWN, PERIOD!!! You had just ran for 4 and one-half yards the play before (The ball was at the one yard line, for crying out loud!!) and the Patriots were still shell-shocked from that crazy catch two plays earlier. You step on their damn throats there, and Pete Carroll decided at the worst possible time to play it cute. The Momentum was there and you simply had to run the ball with Beast Mode. If you don't make it, you call time out and come back third down with a pass/run option where Russell Wilson could throw the ball away if no one's open and try again on 4th down if need be.
Ta-Kuan Fuan that’s where we disagree. You can run on second down and instruct the quarterback to throw the ball away on third down if nothing is open. Remember how Walsh did that to Montana in the 1982 NFC championship? Montana on third down was throwing the ball away. Happens that Dwight Clark made an unbelievably awesome catch.
People gloss over the Michael Bennett jumping offsides after the Butler interception. The game was not over. If Brady takes a knee, it is a. safety and now it's a 28-26 game with Seattle getting the ball with 15 seconds left. It wouldn't be insane to think they could get in some sort of fg range with a deep pass and attempt a 55 yard - 60 yard kick or a hail mary. Bennett killed all that by jumping
Mike Youngblood I Def thought that very same thing when Bennett jumped offside. It wasn't over.... But momentum was shifted, and the clock just needed to run off.
Well he wouldn't have kneed for a safety. I'm sure he would've handed it off to Blount who would've gotten at least back to the line of scrimmage. Or he could've just QBed sneaked.
Often overlooked but an absolutely amazing play was actually on the play just before the interception - watch again Hightower’s tackle on Marshawn Lynch. Belichick and others actually comment on it in the “Do Your Job” video from NFL films. Hightower literally bench presses a guy off him and dives at Lynch to stop him on the half yard line. If he doesn’t do that, there is no chance for that AMAZING interception. I don’t think I will ever tire of seeing Malcolm Butler make that catch.❤😊

Ignorance of Seattle not getting a play off and having to use a TO. Then they can run Lynch twice and probably win.
Its annoying that this vid skips over that and fast forwards

Now he's a top 5 cornerback. I got to admit as a Bills fan, if the Patriots were in another division or I was a fan of a different team they'd be my second favorite team no doubt. I noticed that NE hadn't called a timeout, so my nervousness increased, because this was it.
YOU ARE SO RIGHT. On another page People have the audacity to say that PETE CARROLL MADE THE RIGHT CALL. I'm like WTF???!?
Have you heard of running the ball? Because Seattle didn't :)
Obviously he wouldn't have taken a knee in the end zone. Who said he was going to do that?
Forget that no one is commenting that it was a terrible pass by Wilson.
