I'd say you should look for the next area next time. Really, once you get the next movement upgrade, THAT is when the game really opens up and it's best to backtrack. But, heh, I guess finding the next area involves looking everywhere you couldn't go before so yeah.

I was aware of hollow knights existence and it looked like a pretty good game. I basically knew most of the lore bosses etc, but then I saw you play and you were the one to truly influence me to buy the game. Now I already have 20+ hours on the game lol
I'm disappointed in myself because I late for 12 hours... Anyway, at 1:05:40 you can see how Merg switch on his "silent mode" and no hit the moss knight. I won't be surprised if he no hit the hornet in one try, really. And thank you for uploading the video, even with 1hour+ we still can't get enough of Merg. Please do more of these! Nice to see you play one of my favorite games of all times! Secret ways are always indicated by a cracked wall or butterflys (like at 41:21) so keep looking for them. Also don't worry about being genocidal there is no consequences for being a deadly hunter (u will need a ton of geo anyways). ^^ Be brave little Merg-knight and save the grubs!
Oh, the Fool Eaters... The amount of times you fell for it makes you not just a fool, but the entire Colosseum ;) Congrats on beating Hornet! Also, the whole "nail and hammer" stuff made me rofl, oh my bug xD
Hornet is one of my favorite bosses in Hollow Knight! She's definitely not the hardest boss but she's one of the only bosses that fight similar to how you do and I love the fact she'll try to dodge your attacks and try to trick you by stopping in mid-air with that thread whip move. Also, THAT MUSIC! Her boss fight definitely helps you... GIT GUD!!!!! Keep wandering little ghost...
As a character, I love her. There are just so many mysteries about her. Who made her clothing? Did they forget that she has arms? Why was she named Hornet? Why does she feel stalked when Merg takes forever to follow her because he prefers to search for grubs? Many, many questions yet only few answers.
HeyItsGeorgie I guess it will. I am currently having the nightmare of my life with the nice and kind Nightmare King Grimm. And so far I barely survive 30 seconds against him. Still I will not give up! First I will beat him and then I will probably go try the Radiant.
@@vengeflyking2722 Quick focus actually helps a lot with that fight. If you start healing IMMEDIATELY after one of his attacks end you can usually get at least one health point back before his next attack. Hope this helps, good luck!
I was today years old when I learned that completed journal entries have a steel plating...that would have been nice to know the first two times I completed the journal :') It is DEFINITELY worth it to complete the Hunter's Journal, although it's really tedious to do. I know this isn't useful to you now, but it's worth noting that you can pogo off of Hornet's needle when she throws it, as if it were a set of spikes or an enemy of its own. You're much better about exhausting dialogue than most other people I've watched, which I (and I'm sure many others) appreciate a lot! This may not be very relevant, but I have to say, Quirrel is the best. Such a precious cinnamon roll.

I love music in her fight, i mean i love action music in greenpath in general, but this was my absolute favourite for a long time. Hornet's scream at the start of the fight, "garama" actually means "lets get this over with" it was explained in one team cherry's post about first dlc. also LOOK AT HER LITTLE LEGS WHEN SHE DEFENDS HERSELF IN THE MID AIR AWWW Love your playthrough, can't wait to see more!
Hey Merg, just wanted to give you an idea on how I used my markers: - Blue for secrets/parkour that require abilities (such as Double Jump or Dash) - Red for acid secrets/obstacles - Gold for areas that could potentially be reexplored (ex. boss fights that could be revisited) - Gray for "black barriers" (the one you saw in Fog Canyon) Hope this helped!
Can't believe he beat hornet first try. It took me so many tries I couldn't even count when I first encountered her, but now, after about a year of playing, I've completed the entire hall of gods on radiant and completed bindings for all 5 pantheons.

There's no reason to ignore Fog Canyon, you can't access 90% of it without [ability name] and it's a very useful shortcut to [area name].

Hornet is one of my favorite bosses in Hollow Knight! She's definitely not the hardest boss but she's one of the only bosses that fight similar to how you do and I love the fact she'll try to dodge your attacks and try to trick you by stopping in mid-air with that thread whip move. Also, THAT MUSIC! Her boss fight definitely helps you... GIT GUD!!!!!

As a character, I love her.
As a boss, I think I would prefer the Mantis Lords.

Why does she feel stalked when Merg takes forever to follow her because he prefers to search for grubs?

HeyItsGeorgie I guess it will. I am currently having the nightmare of my life with the nice and kind Nightmare King Grimm. And so far I barely survive 30 seconds against him. Still I will not give up! First I will beat him and then I will probably go try the Radiant.
@@vengeflyking2722 Quick focus actually helps a lot with that fight. If you start healing IMMEDIATELY after one of his attacks end you can usually get at least one health point back before his next attack. Hope this helps, good luck!
I was today years old when I learned that completed journal entries have a steel plating...that would have been nice to know the first two times I completed the journal :')
It is DEFINITELY worth it to complete the Hunter's Journal, although it's really tedious to do.
I know this isn't useful to you now, but it's worth noting that you can pogo off of Hornet's needle when she throws it, as if it were a set of spikes or an enemy of its own.
You're much better about exhausting dialogue than most other people I've watched, which I (and I'm sure many others) appreciate a lot!
This may not be very relevant, but I have to say, Quirrel is the best. Such a precious cinnamon roll.
You can't separate this game by chapters because it's well, not linear.

soo you met Hornet, one of the best characters! I love music in her fight, i mean i love action music in greenpath in general, but this was my absolute favourite for a long time.
Hornet's scream at the start of the fight, "garama" actually means "lets get this over with" it was explained in one team cherry's post about first dlc.

Hey Merg, just wanted to give you an idea on how I used my markers:
- Blue for secrets/parkour that require abilities (such as Double Jump or Dash)
- Red for acid secrets/obstacles
- Gold for areas that could potentially be reexplored (ex. boss fights that could be revisited)
- Gray for "black barriers" (the one you saw in Fog Canyon)

Can't believe he beat hornet first try. It took me so many tries I couldn't even count when I first encountered her, but now, after about a year of playing, I've completed the entire hall of gods on radiant and completed bindings for all 5 pantheons.
Merg is the nicest hollow knight player ive ever seen

Hornet is my second favourite boss fight, the pace is intense and the music is awesome !
