No…..there are many steps required to connect your wireless sensors all requiring your smartphone to complete. No connection to sensors means it will not function without. Setup cannot be completed without binding your C406 to your smartphone or smart tablet.

Hi Kent, interesting, I imaging you are using something lika a Disc wheel =) I think the sensor will still work, i have tried pairing the sensor on the crank as a speed sensor by mistake, and the bike computer does show readings, i.e. it is still sensing the rotational frequency. However i did not test the accuracy. My suggesting is you can cross check with the GPS speedometer while not using the sensor. cheers

Hi Irwan, I did not experience this problem, I usually connect with the app only when I need to change settings or upload data. I suspect this could be a software glitch, you might want to contact Magene for qualified help. Cheers!

Hi Gil, elevation is how high above sea level, gradient is the percentage gain in height over a horizontal distance, eg, 5% grad is 5 meter gain in elevation over a 100 meter gain in horizontal distance, so you can see it as how steep the slope is. bigger the grad, steeper the slope.
