I love all of Disturbed's albums. I have been listening to them since their very first album came out but this album is by far my favorite. This is one if their albums that I could listen to over and over again.
All of the songs on this album are so powerful in their meanings. Great work, Disturbed! Keep doing what you do best!
Yeah, I totally read depression from these lyrics too. The line, "Give me release from this demon of mine," is a pretty good give away. Although Disturbed often writes about politics, a political conflict wouldn't be an internal one. Also, "She found a way inside, then I was forced to walk alone," describes, to me at least, a woman that broke a man's heart and left him with depression. One of the greatest things about music is that multiple people see different things though! :D
i love to hear an guitarist just evolves with each album they release ^^ The great about this song they used the techniques in Godsmack and made it sound like Disturbed.
The best song on Asylum in my opinion.
this album (or what i've heard of it at least) combines my favourite elements of disturbed's past:: the great riffs and musical work of believe with the lyrical darkness of indestructible

Great meaning coming from the song. Hope Disturbed makes more songs like this, but I very much like what they have brought out so far.

I used to listen to Avenged Sevenfold and loved 'em...But I slowly grew out of them, now it's all about Disturbed, Killswitch Engage and Trivium.

i'd say Disturbed is a Cross-Breed between Hard Rock and metal, it depends on the song id definitely say that indestructable and down with with the sickness were mainly metal with some rock-ish sounds thrown in for extra awesome-on-steroids.

By the way guys... Did you observe how David's voice is much thicker in this album than in the other Albums? His voice tiehr got a bit thicker or in the studio they thickened his voice a bit to sound stronger

@TemptationsClan2010 no your wrong, its the sound of the music that classifies it specifically the guitars and drums if you compare the guitar and drums to other metal bands you can see that it is metal even if it is not brutally fast and deep its metal because of the specific tune of the instruments and the way they are played
New zombie movie theme song, I suspect. It's got that feel written all over it.

@JHumey. Okies, but just saying it really does sound like "his" the second time around, it might say "my" in the book that comes with the album, but take a listen to the second chorus. :)
@DivinusIncendia It's not changed, it's just a different view of it, remember they want to show that they're developing, and I think this is pretty sick, and even if it's tattooed it's ok! It's still disturbed, it is what it is, and it still won't change

@TheSickness2010 Yeah they release multiple singles throughout the album cycle. They usually do it when the current single starts dying down with radio airplay. I just have a feeling this one will definitely be a single.

@TemptationsClan2010 Heavy Metal refers to all metal, whether its actually heavy or not. Disturbed's particular style is a blend of Alt Metal and classic style hard rock, although they started as a Nu metal band

Yeah, currently those are the only singles. Actually Asylum isn't a single, Another Way to Die is the only one. I'm talking later on when AWTD starts dying down on the radio and they get ready to release another one.

Yo don't dis Disturbed and don't dis slipknot idk how this war came to be on this disturbed video, but they are both Great bands and Don't need to be judge which one is better They both have different styles for which They Produce awesome music. R.I.P Paul Gray of Slipknot

@eatns4m198 in a more literal and more his life david dramain wrote those lyrics about the ex gf of his who committed suicide when he was 16, he also wrote inside the fire about that incident, but you are correct music is all about interpretation, and imprinting your experiences and feeling onto the works of the songs that others write about their own feelings and experience to draw a connection

@RealDarkBlade I know right? Well i guess good music takes time to appreciate. I love this song, i truly do. But it didnt get real untill i read the lyrics of each and evry song of Asylum. They have simply perfected their sound, and i now even like warrior which i hated at first. The best (metal) album of the decade, though this containing the night and inside the fire wouldve been perfect :)

@Iloveyoujelly Completely different riff, dude, but the strumming pattern is almost identical and 2 of the open low E strums are the same places in both riffs.

Whenever I listened to a new Disturbed album,I was like...WTF?this is shit.....and then I played it again...and again,till I was saying to me: 'No,you are shit...this album rocks'.Another magnificent album,but one that I would have named 'The Infection' instead of Asylum

@shadowsintox9 You really don't get it do you? They support this, all of it, all of bootleg is supported and liked by disturbed, they like the publicity. For people who want to see new music and get into rock music, they'll see more of disturbed. They care about their fan base more than others. and having songs on the internet make people like disturbed more, which will make people want to see them live more, seriously think about it logically.

@8BALT Very true, but Linkin Park was always whiny as fuck and was just tailored for radio, though minutes to midnight I thought showed much needed growth musically, as before it was all just very simplistic lockstep rhythms and guitar playing and no real surprises:just angsty yelling and rapping, which if you want to hear that check out Fort Minor where Mike really gets to show his talent.
