    The red midi dress looks amazing on you! Midi dresses are my favorite hem length.

    Midi or maxi for sure! I'm 5'11" and I feel too exposed in mini and, even, knee length.

    I used to wear all of my dresses just above the knee, but now I find I feel more polished and classic when the green falls just beneath my knee cap. But I LOVE a pencil skirt, so not sure how that factors in... love your videos!

      It's funny how preferences change with time, style, and based on lifestyle. I exclusively wore pencil skirts when I worked in a corporate office. It's tres chic!

    I mostly own mini length bc I’m short with short legs but I think midi is so effortlessly chic. The last midi dress (the deep teal one) looks absolutely gorgeous on you! You look absolutely radiant in it.

    I also got a dress that is really flowy viscose and sort of tent shaped. I did the same, I got a brown belt in the same shop and it gives me a fantastic hourglass shape. It has normal sleeveless shoulders and no spaghetti straps, so is probably joint first for fave’s if not my favourite dress.
    My measurements are virtually identical to yours except my shoulders are narrower so thin straps (including some bra straps) are forever slipping down.

      Viscose is a newly-discovered favorite of mine, too! That dress sounds dreamy. It's a blessing to find things that flatter your body.

    I like floor length maxis in the summer and minis with tights in the winter. Since I wear only flat shoes and boots, knee length and midi don’t work for me, especially since i have long torso and short legs.

      I totally get that. It certainly depends on your particular closet & lifestyle. Groovy!

    I prefer maxi dresses, but will switch it up with a midi. I don't wear mini dresses.

      Wow thank you, Deborah! :) Okay, good to know about minis. It seems a lot of us aren't too into them. I'll be making more content for styling longer lengths. See you soon!

    Loved this video, I am trying to wear more dresses now but I am petite and curvier 5.1 and 145 lb , I do not like to show my thick knees or arms but I guess I have to show them in summmer . Thanks for the ideas! I love knee length , midi and maxis

    I’m no spring chicken so I prefer knee length or maxis. I’ve always been a fan of flowy fabric hence the attraction of a maxi - hey nearest I’ll ever get to 18-19th century dresses :)
    Also you don’t need to worry if your legs are shaved. I’ll wear shorter shorts but short mini skirts are awkward to move and sit in.

      Yesss! I would so love to wear the dresses in The Gilded Age show. If you haven't seen it, the costumes alone are enough to watch it, but the show is good, too!

    Definitely knee length (I'm only 5'4") or maxi. I have short legs from the knee down so anything too far below the knee isn't very flattering. Enjoyed your video greatly and love how you illustrate with clothing examples.

      It's so funny you mention that. My lower legs are disproportionately short, too, but I've never known anyone else who could identify that on themselves, so I keep it quiet. Hehe! I'm so glad my video was helpful for you. Thanks!

    How would you treat a mini dress or a romper that's all one colour?

    • @PriskaJordan
      @PriskaJordan  8 місяців тому +1

      Great question! I can’t speak for all pieces, but my minis and rompers are cinched at the waist, so it’s visually divided into the top 2/3. The top third is above the wait, the middle third is below the waist, and legs are the bottom third.

    Hi❤ midis and maxis, but hard to wear for work with closed shoe rules in FL. Any tips?? fyi: I don't wear anything higher than 2 inch block style heels😊😊

    • @PriskaJordan
      @PriskaJordan  Рік тому

      Pumps look great with midi dresses. For maxi dresses, I’d go with flat shoes, such as the oxfords you previously mentioned. Oxford style block heels would be a cool expression of personality with either style skirt.
