Norway and Scandinavia would really be a good change for me. Thinking of moving permanently to Denmark, Norway, or Sweden in the now distant future. There aren't $ signs in everybody's eyes in Europe like here. Frankly, America has become intolerable despite the fact I like most Americans. England isn't where I wish to be in the coming years I would say. I feel more comfortable with Scandinavia. The people speak great English. They have an amazing culture in their countries. Great soldiers definitely too. Hail Scandinavia!

I was priviledged to co-operate with Norwegian forces during a military exercise in Northern Norway 2009. These guys and gals kick some serious ass, huge respect for them!

We Americans don't hear enough about the wonderful contributions being made by so many others to this effort. have great admiration for Norway's contributions in all kinds of ways, and particularly the dedicated service of people like those featured in this film. God i miss Afghanistan!! I was a combat advisor in RC North and loved my job. But now i am a 100% disabled because i keep going to Afghanistan and Iraq!!!

It is important for Norway to fight a war in the Afghanistan. Just as important as it is to send Afghan fighters to Norway.

What a great doc, it is great to see how other nations deploy their forces, being in England we tend to forget how many other nations are fighting in Afghanistan.

Só diferentes today..in the war in África,1961 to 1974,portuguese soldiers spent 24 months over there..americans 12 months in vietnam..today only 6 months...
Now they know what war does too people, they know that if they want too keep their soldier's healthy they need keep them in warzones for shorter time, for a nation as Norway with a small amount off well trained professional soldier's it`s even more important. We cant just throw away our men.
SVT producerade en miniserie, likt denna norska, men då om ett svenskt ISAF förband i Afghanistan. Serien fanns uppe på svtplay.se ett tag men är nu borttagen. Jag tvivlar på att serien kommer finna sin väg till DVD. Tvivlar dessutom på att den någonsin kommer sändas igen...

I was deployed to faryab in 10-11 and worked alongside the norwegian prt team and the telemark battalion. would love to somehow reach some of the guys from the cv-90's made some friends while we were all together.

WK SN Sverige har visst krigshistoria kanske inte med Norge men med andra länder. Vi har ägt många länder på 1600 talet och folk var rädda för oss.
+richter75 Well it's not that hard defending ones country when no ones attacking, you see during those times Norway was a cold dark and undeveloped piece of land too far north of any major power to hold any real value , except for Sweden and Denmark ofcourse which both ruled Norway either partly or in whole throughout it's history.

This greatly diminished the ability of the nobility to collect taxes from farmers, as the farmers could always go or threaten to go to less taxed land elsewhere. From the perspective of the farmers this was great news, living standards did surely increase during this period. But for the nobility this resulted in a much lower income, and thus a reduced ability to project power into and wage war with the neighboring countries.

Smooshé Pepper Hvis du vil bli yrkessoldat er det grenader som gjelder. Grenaderopptaket gjennomføres i mai (frist 1. april) og for å søke må man ha gjennomført førstegangstjeneste. Hvis du vil ha en relevant førstegangstjeneste (enorm fordel) tror jeg panserbataljonen er det beste valget. Anbefaler deg å sjekke ut og eventuelt ta kontakt med noen på forsvaret sine sider.

Krig för fred är en liknande dokumentär om svenska styrkor i Afghanistan, som Metziker säger. Helt klart värd att kolla in, ser ut som att norrmannen har fått tag i den också. Ligger på hans kanal i alla fall.
Tänka sig att "Svenskarna" och "Norskarna" talade samma språk under vikingatiden det kan nog vara varför som vi förstår varandra så bra.
