This was expertly done CCP. Player driver stories is what makes EVE, EVE. The fact you did this for some of the larger stories going on the game is awesome. Haven't played this game in 3+ years but I'm eager to get involved again. Keep this up, and please add even more support to EVE.
The Scope made Pandemic Legion look badass on this clip. They even play dope music at their crib.

Wow, I have to say kudos to CCP for immortalizing the heist in The Scope! That rendering of a clone bay was pretty cool stuff to see in their engine. Though next time you have to show a Goons club playing Mind1 stream, lol

Storywise that's one hell of a show of force coming from the pirate factions, meaning they're very much up there with the empires on theoretical force projection.
Also immortalizing Jay's heist and destruction is pretty cool and only highlights EVE's player-driven nature.
And THIS is why EvE will always beat other space sim games in scale. The others are afraid to open their games up to players so fully. Looking at you, Star Citizen.

I like how they integrated Jay's UA-cam video into the Scope news article.
On the one hand, nice video. On the other, I'm always a bit bothered by all these "walking in stations" shots when the feature got not only cancelled but even rollbacked. It's such a shame and it feels like a bit of a taunt to me. Especially when showing Player Alliances headquarters like PL's.
I really wish they would rework and bring the actual player controlling in stations back like in Dust514. That was so cool and immersive. they def could do something with vanguard though so im hoping it happens.

To me it looks like an indication they will be bringing those environments back to eve, They're just not going to tell people about it until it's done... otherwise people will riot when the only thing delivered is CQ.

IMO, Concord owes The Initiative an apology, since the rats didn't have bounties. (I'm guessing ccp did that to encourage the players to give up the station... but there should be some in universe recourse for it.)
This heist needs to be part of the next MER.

Honestly, I don't like the idea of NPCs with infinite resources and neut immunity being used to destroy player structures. I have to assume that they would just keep attacking until the end of time. Or eventually there would just be a fleet of 100 titans or something. It's kinda bull/s for a sandbox if you think about it. Pirates should have contracted the job to players.

tragically, that wouldn't work with major null-block coalitions, who would easily sit a keepstar and a 24/7 defense fleet on these stargates to monopolize all the new content.

I want clubs on stations, so you can at least sit there whit ppl or make private rooms. Maybe a mini game, darts or smht, come one its not that much to code if you have 3d chars IG. Why waste such potential, made sens whit all those hats and stuff...

THIS is what the Scope should be all about. It should mainly focus on the REAL stories of EVE players. Not NPC stories.

I like a good mix of both, but have a soft spot for the handcrafted NPC responses where they interact and react to each other, blurring the line between the two.
The news reports dealing with npc matters generally also relay vital information to the player base. The last one talked about how trading evermarks to corporations got reinstated. It's a way for ccp to let the playerbase know what's going on in game... and potentially get people who don't play interested.
No. I don't care about stupid null politics and trash like that. I want lore, and I want world news.
@@Jeff55369 The vast majority of people that come to the game come because of real life stories. Not made up ones. Ask any player in the game and 99% wouldn’t be able to tell you anything about the lore story. It’s the single biggest waste of resources CCP is engaged in.

The Winter Nexus event is disappointing this year in LS and HS. I am not in a NS corp so I doubt I will attempt it there. Especially after seeing the drops people are posting videos about.
I was looking forward to this event and planned my ships for it most of the year. Buying fittings slowly to maximize market savings and ensuring skills are where they need to be.
CCP screwed up a enjoyable event where people competed for sites by nerfing all the rewards. It is getting to the point that EVE isn't worth playing.

@@Mistscorner It doesn't matter if they weren't there to crab. Had there been a financial incentive to keep fighting... the Initiative might have kept at it. And if it went on long enough, other player orgs would have joined in. (Potentially to kill players.)
While I like the idea of NPC orgs doing this sort of thing, I don't like that CCP broke the immersion on this point. And I wasn't even part of engagement.

It comes with lots of custom animation, and allowed for a mix of lore-related balancing and player story. Late? No. It was just delayed for style.
