Another brilliant video Dom,😉👍 with all those interior improvements he has done it has given me match Food for Thought.🤔 very useful info thanks Dom.
Thanks as always mate, yeah it shows you can
Do quite a nice built on a relatively low budget…. Is what you tell the partner when she asks 😂
100% right . Forget how it looks make sure it drivers correct first before changing the looks . I have oem springs, but I drive it all the time everywhere and anywhere
Couldn’t agree more, you can’t see the outside when driving along anyway so what does it matter 😂. All-terrain vehicle😂😂
Nice motor 👍
I brought a 225 just over a year ago, first thing I did was book it in for cambelt & water pump change at b5 then had a major service (engine oil, gearbox oil, haldex oil, rear diff oil etc). Had some decent tyres put on it and it feels loads happier 👍
I think that’s the best thing to do, especially when it’s an older car and if it has a questionable history, you are just FutureProofing it and at least you can be confident going forward
Good video dom if i was him i would get the car wrapped
I get where your coming from, it depends how long he intends to keep it, if it’s a long time paint is the best option as wrap will wear paint will last and help with value in later life
Thanks again Dom great to meet you and talk TT :) great video
Was my pleasure mate
@@TheParrottBros 💝
Thanks Wayne & Dom, for that interview😊. I like the way every TT owner stamps their own ideas on their own car. Wayne has made his car much more pleasurable to tour in. Always liked that light grey interior😎
Thanks bob! It’s nice to be able to share others cars with the community and not just mine, unless all you love to do is wash and polish your TT then it makes sense to focus on mechanicals and interior first 😊
Thanks Bob couple more things to add but slowly getting there :)
Nice car 👍🏿like the modern touches..what was the exhaust on there sounds soo nice, but yea neighbors maynot think so 🤣🤣🤣
Loved the video and your attitude! Ive got a great 10 ft TT too! Love driving and having fun working on her a little! What a car!
Couldn’t agree more mate, no cars perfect specially not a 20 year old one but who cares. Can’t see the outside when driving it anyway 😊
Thanks Bill :)
Enjoyed the video!! 👌👍😎 Good luck with your car and love the stereo 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Enjoyed that vid, nice car with some nice additions 👌
Thanks buddy
Liked this video. I'm also the owner of a very 'honest' TT with less than great paint.
I’m also a member of the honest club along with probably half the channels viewers. Just wanted to show that cars this age are ok to be honest
Nice review boys. Great to see Wayne’s car featured!
Thank you mate, hope your having a nice time away
Thanks Andy :)
Nice video. Ill keep an eye out for for you around leeds Wane. I don't live far from Tony Banks garage 👍
You should be able to hear him that’s for sure ☺️. Thanks for watching
HONEST CAR REVIEWS AND INTERVIEWS ARE THE BEST... ❤❤❤
Thank you
actually mate, THANK YOU... you are genuinely passionate about your TTs and I get inspired by your passion, btw, just owned a Mk2 2006 3.2VR6 last november and your videos are what I feel the most genuine, thanks for inspiring us mate, follower from New Zealand... ❤❤❤
Totally have to have carplay/android, makes the car so much more modern. I feel like waynes car is related to mine - same colour, year, milage - the coupe version of mine, like my cars brother 😁
😂😂 I was thinking about yours when filming funnily enough 😂
@@TheParrottBros You know what - I thought this was the same colour as mine, just realised it's blue! Totally need my eyes checking 😆
Really enjoyed that video Dom he’s got the exact same colour v6 as me and I’ve got bad paint work on front bumper and passenger door I did have it on the bonnet as well but managed to pick another one up the same colour for £25 a absolute bargain have thought about swapping door out for the same colour but not sure if I have the confidence to do that 🥺
The door is a bit of a pain in the butt to swap, to be fair if you’ve got one you could probably find a place that would swap it for not mad money or get Bryn to do it
Mines in a similar condition on body work, but I'm currently doing a drive way respray, It wont look perfect but will look better than the state i got it in, dents, rust and paint work that constantly looked dirty.
Fair play to you, Im unable to do body work to an acceptable standard so i leave it for others to do haha
Most honest one I’ve seen
Yeah no hiding it, better to be out and
Enjoying it that have it on stands getting rusty 😂
Almost scary how similar our cars are!!
Same color
Same engine
Same gearbox
Updated steering wheel
Modern stereo
Loud exhaust
Lowering springs on the way
Mine has a bit more miles but better paint, all things considered a very nice car indeed!
How funny, just shows you have a shared taste which is quite unusual in the car world, very cool 😎
No need for lowering springs, just work some more on that "one pack" - trust me, it's brilliant!
😂😂😂 what about if you’ve done both… asking for a friend 😁
Ahhaha yes its all paid for and its organic home grown haha :)
Belle vidéo 👌 😉
Merci 😎
@@TheParrottBros 👍 😉
Just bought a pretty clean one of these 2002 and not a spec of rust. Loads of history. Really nice cars
Awesome, welcome to the club 😎
@@TheParrottBros cheers dude. If u know of any meets in the near future. Would like to come along for sure👍🏻
@@Saltermedia If you head over to the parrott bros website there in an events calendar
i got my 2000 tt for a $1000 put maybe $400 into it and some new rims and tires, got some clear coat issues upgraded the coolant system parts to aluminum parts got some other thing done but I got to say I love my little car lol the thing makes like 23-24 psi of boost reliably got 190,000 its been pushing 23-24 psi for over 60,000... one clutch too I'll admit it thought it would be cool to do a mean burn out lol went great till I grabbed 2nd lol it was the factory clutch though from what the ordinal owner told me, couple hundred buck for that other than that and wheel studs car has been awesome
Sounds like you got one of the good ones! Great to hear they are being enjoyed and covered so many miles 😎
i have a 9.7 pro ipad i want to use that torque app , can anyone please help me find the correct bluetooth obd plug in piece and also i cant find that exact app shown in this awesome video !
Il send you link mate. But you. Can jjust search obd11 xtron is one i use leave it plugged in all the time
@@zimbabwayne5626 thanks very much, looks like i find it, shows as OBDeleven- car diagnostics, does that sound right ? blue and yellow icon.
That’s cool! Yeah hopefully the one Wayne said will do what you need
Chris when connecting to car do not start car only turn on ignition until it connects to system
Hey guys, my TT has sun bleach fade like that, will it tcut polish away or is paint/laquer needed? Thanks 👍
Some nice internal mods, bodywork always an issue on these cars after nearly 20 years!
That’s it’s si, I wanted to show
Everyone that it’s normal
And ok to have a not perfect TT as I hear ooo too often I’m not attending as my car isn’t a Show car etc. better to be using it than not 😊
@@TheParrottBros Totally agree, a lot of people, probably myself included, would think, oh can't take my car to that car show people will laugh at it, or everyone elses car is so clean and shiny, they spend days detailing, etc....but its simply not an elitist thing in the TT community, all I've ever found is helpful people and cars that are from right across the spectrum, from show room to one foot in the breakers yard....but somewhere between is where most of our cars are, they should be driven, saved and shown, that all of us have on going issues or something we want to swap out means that all are a work in progress, they are survivors...and no one should be embarrassed by the state of their car...great Vid Dom.
First thing to do with any vag is to take the sound deadin pads out of the front wings top of the arch dead centre.pointless piece's off shit that just hold water and rust your wings
When i put replacement wing on thats exactly what i did so foam gone :) and sound exhaust covers most noises :)
Jus picked up a 225 quattro. Bone stock. Do i need an intercooler to get any more power or can i get it to stage one with just an air filter? Its only a bit of fun for the summer so dont want to spend much on it.
Hey, congrats. Most tuners will do a software map that requires no upgrades at all. An air filter helps but usually not essential
Love a 3.2 .just ad my 225 serviced wow the difference is amazing .one prob with it is fuel gauge says half full but it says 95 miles left to empty jow do you reset fuel gauge
When you fill the tank or drive it does the miles to empty change if it does and it’s accurate then the likelihood is that your clocks are failed. That or whoever had it ragged it and got bad mpg. Press and hold the little button underneath on the right-hand stalk when on the one you want and it will reset it
Hi I’m looking for a honeycomb grill for the lower part of my front bumper on my TT Mk1 Roadster 3.2 V6 Quattro. Any ideas?
If you’re looking for a genuine replacement part then speak to Jason case or Marc Stanley on Facebook. Both TT breakers who will have what you need. If not on Facebook let me know and I’ll find out there emails
Hi Dom,
Good stuff again. Although I’m living in the Netherlands (also a wet country) I have less isues with my paintwork of my TT 3.2 / 2004.
Question for you; are you still looking for a original TT double cup holder? I possibly have found one; whhich price would you be willing to pay for it?
With regards, Stefan
Hey Stefan, yeah it’s the salt here I’m sure. It’s funny how other country’s tune in and point out all our rust and they never seem to have the same issues 😂. I’ve replied to your email about that
Thanks dom
I just bought my 2002 180 TT Quattro, changed the oil/oil filter, tires, new brakes and rotors with alignment. Did the smog today and after leaving going down a steep driveway I'm hearing a rotating clanking sound (mostly during deceleration) sounds like it's under the driver floor board. I pulled over a few times to trying and see where it's coming from and couldn't find it. Any idea on what it could be? Been watching all the videos since getting a tt and finding your channel, good stuff 👍🏻
It's a tough one to call without seeing / hearing it when with the car but check everything is tight, jack it up and have a good look at everything that spins especially if its rotational
@@TheParrottBros I found it, it was the axel. I've never had one go out on the inside joint so it through me off a bit, it's always the wheel one. Thanks. I really like the car and have always wanted one, knowing I'd most likely have to fix stuff (especially suspension wise) other than that the car interior is fantastic and the only thing I have to do now is fix the inner door switch for the window drop and locking 👍🏻. Only downside is that the previous own put a fiber glass front and rear bumper. Finding those is a pain given the price of shipping mainly 😅
@@TheParrottBros keep up the vids man, I dig the TT content 🤙🏻
Just bought a mk 1 and bingeing your content . I’ve got one issue with it though my fuel gauge seems to always be on empty even though I’ve just filled it up . Anybody know if this is an expensive fix ???
Use the hidden menu. But its common issue with mileage fairly easy fix check out bwstt for that :)
@@zimbabwayne5626 thanks pal ill give it a go
Awesome welcome aboard! Does the miles to empty work on the display in the middle?
Wayne did you say you are Leeds way ? If so ping me I had mine resprayed in Colne for a very fair price and can put you in touch with the spray shop. Not to far from Leeds
He certainly is I will get him to reply to you
Thanks ian il look you up on group on fb:)
Mmmmm v6..
The poor Astra 😂
@@TheParrottBros swap? No, didnt think so ;)
I'm that guy who's like my car isn't going to be the nicest one there so I'm not going..this is possibly why I've never had a girlfriend..my standards are higher than I can achieve with little to no confidence..I don't want an "honest" girl..lol..
Haha! I’m certainly an honest guy 😂. Although if you were to compare cars to people I don’t think many would want a high mile, 12 owner with body damage and an oil problem
Android all the way 😁
It’s too hard to text with my fat fingers on an android haha plus I’m not clever enough
