I loved it I have a 1922 I've been working on for 7 years and almost done only have ruff idea on how to drive after seeing this I'm 10 times more excited to try it
There were 15 million made at any given point there are probably more than 1000 still in operation I would have a hard time believing there aren't, people tend to forget how big a million is. My neighbor drives his all the time and its been in his family for 4 generations and its not the only t i know of in town there are at least 3 in driving condition taken out during the summer i have seen besides his.
Enjoyed the video. We owned 3 T's in South Carolina, a 22, 26 and a 27. Retired to rural south Ecuador 12 years ago but sadly no T's were ever imported here. Thanks for the fun memories
99% seeing this dont realize no gas pedal throttle on steering wheel no gear shift Just 3 pedals on floor first pedal high low speed middle pedal is reverse right is braking and only actual brakes are rear wheels with hand brake its delicate Balance to slow down feather reverse and brake to slow panic mode is pulling hand brake .. plus old gal only has 30 hp .. starting is just as fun if you dont have electric start .. great video .. just slow down on those turns good way to bust spokes or tip over make sure to use marvel mystery oil in fuel helps lubricant everything plus stabil Keeps fuel fresh and marvel Keeps valves rings free awesome video thanks for posting 👍👍👍😅🤣😊
I just took a '74 LTD from scrapyard to daily driver and anything over 25 mph feels like it's gonna go sailing off into the sky. I can't imagine how this drives.
@@OneSpeedGarageAh, alright then. As a dad, I probably wouldn't react much different xD That being said, I've been in a pretty similar situation... "Oh, that light turns yellow, make that left turn quick..."
One nice thing about owning a Model T in this day and age is that only about .00000000000001% of the population has ANY idea whatsoever how to drive it. So you could basically leave it open and unlocked in your driveway and feel confident.
Idk if that guy was your dad, but that was the most dad response to a crash I've ever heard. No "glad you're ok" or "at least you didn't hit anything" Just calls you an idiot ❤
One thing I was told about a model T pickup by my great grandfather, Is they will kick out from underneath you if you go too fast turning, Even in damp weather. I was 16 at the time when he told me that.
@@OneSpeedGarage The pickup i talked about is a 1926 , And it was my great grandfathers and I inherited it when he died in 1996 at the age of 103. I think what he was getting at is they have more torque than horsepower and whenever I head into a turn, I slow way the hell down. people driving behind me get pissed off, But I don't care. I urge you to keep that beauty on the road. And I bid you good luck.
I've watched several of your videos today. Like what you are doing, appreciate the honesty ("it aint gonna gets done in two weeks"), you pick some great music, plus working on a T beside a junkyard LS. I'm convinced. New sub.
Not a modern car in how it drives! Better to hit the cushy pile of snow than a telephone pole, glad you and the car are ok! Probably could have been saved with a bit less speed an overcorrection..
