Seeing you “walk” through rapture actually makes it feel tangible and adds a more realistic element to the game. I know it sounds weird but I feel like you’re the only guy who actually adds to the game itself and not just the discussion. Bioshock is in my top 3 of games and nobody has done it justice the way you did here. Incredible work, truly
The ending of Bioshock seeing all the Little Sisters coming to see Jack again and holding his hand while he’s in his hospital bed is so FRICKIN SWEET to see. They never forgot about the man who saved them and gave them a chance to live out their lives.
I'll never forget my first experience with Bioshock the year after it's release. It changed literally the entire medium of video games overnight. It was the first video game to make the mainstream acknowledge that, while not perfect (like anything in life), this medium is still nonetheless a genuine artform.
i think that an underrated addition that it added was the window cutscene. Just like Bizly said in the video, if anything they make him more powerless to the in-game situation, but that's what makes those types of scenes powerful when done right. My favorite example of a window cutscene is probably one of the early scenes in Dead Space, where you watch part of your crew get attacked by necromorphs whilst the vents around you clang and bump only signaling to you that you have no time stand and watch but at the same time you cannot look away from the scene before you. Theres a lot of irony with this scene as well because when you go into it you know that you're safe from the monster attacking your friends but you also obviously want to help them despite the fact that you fully know that there is absolutely NOTHING you could do to save them. (ofc when you start NG+ in the remake this feels a little silly for you because at that point you feel like you could fight god but that's just how NG+ usually feels)

The video essays themselves are amazing and the editing is incredible, but my god I have never been more blown away then when the DAMN "Subscribe" button lights up when he say's "would you kindly Subscribe" never knew that was a thing that you could do and wow I must be a sleeper agent because that worked.
The thing that’s twisted is that Jack is technically only around 2 years old. They used adam and plasmid enhancements to rapidly age his body to that of a man in his early 20s. Then implanted false memories of a life that never actually happened. There is an audio recording in the game of Suchong explaining it. But it’s completely out of context and you don’t realize the recording is talking about Jack.

I think it's hard to make someone want to experience a game for themself after seeing a summary of it, and while the game itself lends to that, it's also the video essayist that makes that possible. I think the way the game was portrayed so beautifully is so helpful for that. It felt less like I was watching some random dude explain shit to me and more like I was seeing what the game really is. Plus some random dude explaining shit to me but I think you get what I mean. The immersion in your videos has become so so amazing and so impressive. I don't think I've seen stuff like it before tbh. This is honestly one of the best bioshock videos I’ve seen and I’ve seen a lot of em. I’d really enjoy seeing this turned into a series covering all 3 bioshock installations (obviously bioshock 2 would be a bit impractical considering you play a big daddy but nonetheless would be a great viewing)
I'm in awe of how amazing you were able to make this. You and your editor(s?) did fantastic and that's not even addressing the amazing scripting, pacing, and acting that you put into this. Thank you for taking the time to make this video, it was a joy to watch

How much time did this single video take from conception to writing to filming then editing? Go be a film maker or something I'll buy tickets to your first show front row cuz you are absolutely going placed
The immersive editing is really entertaining. Really well done and clever exploring the story through the POV character while also talking about the game mechanics. Like hitting two birds with one stone. Kudos

The amount of effort you both put into this is apparent within minutes of starting this video! Bioshock is my all-time favorite, and it brings me so much joy that there are still people out there with the same love that want to create a production like this!! Can't wait to see what you do next.
This is honestly one of the best bioshock videos I’ve seen and I’ve seen a lot of em.
I’d really enjoy seeing this turned into a series covering all 3 bioshock installations (obviously bioshock 2 would be a bit impractical considering you play a big daddy but nonetheless would be a great viewing)
surely i buy a 2000 dollar big daddy suit just for a youtube video hahah
I'm in awe of how amazing you were able to make this. You and your editor(s?) did fantastic and that's not even addressing the amazing scripting, pacing, and acting that you put into this. Thank you for taking the time to make this video, it was a joy to watch
Just found your channel and I gotta say this is far and above 99% of all gaming content on this platform. Your editing and story telling is tops, funny too. Definitely gained one more subscriber today!
the sheer amount of dedication to the greenscreen and the editing makes video absolute primo, on top of being a competent analysis video!
How much time did this single video take from conception to writing to filming then editing? If you're not pulling at least a full three days of hard working like there's hellfire bellow you and losing a bit of sleep on top you're an absolute madman and you're wasted on youtube. Go be a film maker or something I'll buy tickets to your first show front row cuz you are absolutely going placed
Such a creative way of editing, so cool! Wouldn't be surprised if other UA-camrs try to replicate this style
if they do that just means we won hahaha
your editor does such a great job. and I loved seeing your growth and enthusiasm when you started out
The immersive editing is really entertaining. Really well done and clever exploring the story through the POV character while also talking about the game mechanics. Like hitting two birds with one stone. Kudos
Bro the attention to detail and the green screen edits are proper A grade bro, had a lot of fun watching this big W
The production value on this channel is insane, love these videos
This video is absolutely insane. What a way to do a video wow!
The quality and effort put into this video is simply amazing. Love love love
I don't know what to say that hasn't already been said. You are the blueprint of what a quality content creator is. Your stuff is insightful, passionate, funny, incredibly well made, and personal. This 50 minute video felt like 20 minutes because I was so entertained and encapsulated. I love love LOVE your stuff!
I’ve literally been watching all this guys videos and his ability to edit himself into the videos and have different angles with him in it blows my mind everytime. This is grade A1 editing and passion for his work.
that editing with you grabbing the bottle in the intro was enough to make me subscribe. that shit was hollywood level CGI to Live Action interaction
Your style is so distinct and clean, your jokes hit super well, and I stayed interested the whole piece 💙 I can absolutely see you blowing up and cultivating a very close and engaging community here! It’s been a while since I’ve been so excited to find a new channel, thank you for your time!!
Never played Bioshock, but this might still be one of my favorite videos by you. A certified Bizly (& Geek, editing is crazy good) banger right here.
It's amazing what a green screen, RGB light bulbs and graphical skills can do.
The second game will always be my favorite, there is something so viscerally satisfying about playing as a big daddy.
It's also my favorite story among the three games.
Caught this video 5 months later. This is genuinely the most well put together video game essay video on UA-cam in structure, editing, and humor. So well done dude! Please keep it up I love this game too!
this only having 20k views is legit criminal. this was so well edited, when you were in front of the glass between you and tennanbaum the lighting was seriously perfect you blended in so well there and everywhere else in the whole video
This is like a playthrough but so much better, the editing and greenscreen work is majestic. Please, GIVE US MORE OF THIS!
will forever be a fan of the way u structure ur videos . never bored . the set shit you got going on this time is insane
I first got recommended you’re resident evil vid and I really adored the format- I then watched your alien vid and now and man this is so unique and incredibly well done man I’m def looking forward to more
i adore that you’re actually walking around through the world - it’s such a refreshing style and experience. definitely subscribing, this video rocks!
Wow, I rarely comment. This is hands down the best video to ever come up in my recommend. The length of detail, the description of the game, the green screen work, the editing. Truly amazing, very well done! +1 sub here
Bizly is such an amazing storyteller it blows my mind everytime. I keep on thinking I won't stick around for the full hour, but here i am, ruining my sleep schedule and eating dirt bc no way am i pausing this to find some decent mud to snack on. Thankd Bizlbop!
I absolutely love your green screen work and how you put yourself into the world I don't know anyone else doing this to this caliber!
This game will always have a special place in my heart. I always find myself replaying one of these games every couple years.
Also the editing in the video is top tier. Insane work dude
Instant subscribe love the immersion of your videos! Also as a bioshock fan it’s nice to see a new video about it that I haven’t watched already over a zillion times!
I used to sit on my dads lap and watch him play it, he passed in 2010, BioShock just hits different, i love the world, the story, everything, it's easily in my top 10
Damn man it’s my favorite game of all time, that final good ending had me crying when I was younger hit me right in the feels
The quality is crazy, I can't wait for many more videos
This must of took forever to edit.
Well done, I enjoyed every bit of it!
I like that the very existence of this video implies that all the bioshock games are so damn good that there needs to be a 50 minute video explaining why this is the best one
50:22 when she asks me to whip it out
29:09 (too impatient to get to that so im leaving where i am currently)
HAHAHA
32:53 "im too old for this one"💀
The golden age of bizly hair is upon us
this is about the most immersive youtube video i've ever seen. i know others already gave similar comments but this can't be said enough. not only came your love for the game through but it's like you took the viewer with you to rapture and i haven't felt this immersed since playing it for the first time almost 20(holy shit it's been almost 20) years ago.
this video is equally as amazing as my first time experiencing bioshock for the first time. The editing was so immersive and even allowed me to feel like I was seeing my own first experience of the game. I really hope you get to continue making art like this with many more games so everyone else can experience what I felt watching this💜
the editing in this video is crazyyy holy shit
I was about to skip until the 0:20 mark can someone relate it was like someone is keeping me here

I am only sixteen minutes in and has got to be the best video I have ever seen this year. Your editing style is so good, keep it up!
The greenscreen is actually an amazing video format. Makes me appreciate the art so much more. Kudos to your editing team! Can't wait for the Dishonored one hearts🎉❤
