There is nothing wrong with buying your books secondhand, and you’re still supporting the author by reading it!!! keep doing you, and enjoy. I fully believe in buying secondhand.
right !!! secondhand is so important🥰💕 thank you for the love🥺
If you do a TJR reading video you should include The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo if you haven’t read it yet, it’s such a great book!
YES i just picked that one up !! i can’t wait to read them all!
Don't know how I haven't found your content sooner! I love this 🤍
that is so sweet thank you!!🥹💛 happy to have you here!!!
Absolutely in LOVE with your book content!! I am also a makeup panner and found your channel that way a few years ago and now I’m heavily reading after taking years to finish 2 long series (game of thrones and outlander) - I love historical fiction and felt so painfully uneducated about history and now I’m obsessed.
omg ME TOO i literally feel like i learned nothing in school and im nervous to read historical fiction cause i wont know anything 😭🤣🤣 are there any specific books you’d recommend? thank you for all the love and support 🥺💛💛
@@kylafish This is a late response but yes! I just finished this 4 book series by Evie Dunmore about these 4 female friends that are Oxford students / suffragettes / find love that I loveddd. Bringing Down the Duke is the first one. Also started reading books by Alison Pataki - she writes fictional stories about real women in history. I want to read The Nightingale soon too - just bought that 😬
omg i never even thought of checking fb marketplace for books!! genius 🧠🧠 excited for your next reading vlog!
AHHH thank you!!!🥺💕 there are so many on there i love it !! also lots of groups for cheap books or trades !
I love books too. I just recently bought a kindle paperwhite.
omg yes i love that !! i love my kobo :)
I love your content! It’s so relaxing.
thank you so much🥺💛
✨
APPRECIATE YOUUUU
I’m loving the book videos!!!
EEEEEEEP thank you so so so much🥺💕
I mostly been all my books through Libby or secondhand. And I read my magazines through Flipster.
omg libby is the BEST thing ever !!!
I just found your channel, I look forward to seeing you more! Love ya❤❤❤
awwww yayyy thank you for being hereee!!!💕💕💕
So excited for you to read the Harry Potter series! I'm sure it's kind of daunting because there's so many books, but the first two are so short that they'll go quick, and hopefully by that point you'll be into it.
also I hated Gone Girl and The Push so much that I physically could not finish them. Some of the only books that I have had to DNF. And totally unsolicited thought, but I would try to branch out with the authors you're reading because they're predominantly (or maybe all?) white and American or British, and esp if you're trying to learn from books, that can skew towards a very narrow worldview! Just something to be aware of :) also recognize that it's not your fault because these are the books you've heard of because they're what's popular, bc of systemic racism etc. it's no coincidence that the vast majority of popular writers are white
omg me too!! i’ve heard the first ones are more adventure ones so i’m excited to get into it :))
omg really!! the push was so disturbing and realllllllllly messed with me but i loved it. it turned into more of a thriller and i enjoyed it by the end but i could see that for sure !! also thank you for pointing this out!! i honestly didn’t even realize that and i appreciate you for this comment🥺 are there any specific books or authors you’d recommend ?? or even book youtubers that have more variety as i find i pickup whatever i hear talked about a lot. appreciate you so much as always💕
@@kylafish I never got the notifs for these comments but was trying to figure out which video of yours I'd previously commented on haha. Some recss that were really really good off the top of my head - Ayesha at Last by Uzma Jalaluddin, Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng (worth the hype), The Kiss Quotient by Helen Huang, Scarborough by Catherine Hernandez, Unmarriageable by Sonia Kamal (inspired by Pride & Prejudice). Ok that's prob enough lol
lovee the book recs!!!
thank you so so so much🥺💕
✨ ❤
appreciate youuu🥺💕✨
💖💖💖
i appreciate you 🥺🫶🏻
hope you enjoy reading harry potter!!
thank you !!! me too🥺💕
I’m currently reading The Grace Year. It’s sort of handmaids tale meets the hunger games meets lord of the flies. I have mixed feelings about it, but it is definitely holding my attention
ohhhhh omg ???? i am going to have to look into this one thank you👀 i remember reading lord of the flies i want to reread it now that im out of highschool hahaha
@@kylafish I actually just finished The Grace Year this morning and overall I really liked it! I will be thinking about it for a while. It’s very very intense and often gruesome, but a very original, well written, and captivating story
@@meepmoopmeep1this sounds so interesting omg i added it to my tbr !!!
You're funny 🤣😄
don’t hype my ego up like that😭🤣💕
Go Ask Alice ,is in fact a fabricated story. Beatrice Sparks, the Editor of this and several other novels that claimed to be "true" / "found diaries" . check out the novel just released breaking down the myth, the damage and the positive effects of these books in Unmask Alice
omg i didn’t know this thank you!!! i’ll have to look into it :))
Are you saying J.K Rowling has an ugly face just because you don't agree with her views?
kinda yeah
Lots of the other white authors you mentioned in this video have said racist stuff but you’re only singling jk rowling?
i didn’t know that i would love to be educated on other authors :) colleen hoover was another one i called out, but frankly, a lot of authors and artists are problematic. as mentioned this is why thrifting books is great! my goal with reading is to educate others, enjoy reading, and lift each other up. if you’re ever looking to spread helpful & constructive information im open to it but please be kind💛 we’re all just here to read & enjoy this community💕
