Sweet, seen what looked like you have, the bronze colored Shimano Reel at a pawn shop here on the TX. coast for $36 & I passed it up! All it needed was a little cleaning & I went back the next day to but it & she was gone! I'm still kicking myself in the butt! Love those reels, they just cost so much. But I screwed up
Looks like a great day! I plan to go Kayak fishing there, do you know how many line I can troll/cast by myself on a kayak? I checked but only found 1 line in SF bay. Not sure Tomales Bay is considered SF bay.
Nice catch gentleman! Wondering how your tower holding out when running in the tomales bay with caps? Can you post a video of your tower while running. I like to see how it holding because I’m looking to get one. Thanks
Ya I can it’s custom made Out of 2”stainless tube with lots of cross bracing and ties down to the boat in six locations and two spots to Center counsel and doesn’t move at all on the next trip when it’s rough and choppy I’ll video for you. thank you
nice fish! you think it’s possible for like a 12-14 ft aluminum boat can fish at toamles bay ? i rlly want to catch some halibut but i’m not sure if my boat can do it
Ya there are a lot of people in little boats and you don’t have to run far if you don’t want the wind will pickup just pay attention and launch close to we’re you want to fish. Hope to see you out there.
I used Nick‘s Cove and yes it’s normally Start picking up halibut in April May and normally gets good June July and will continue until about September
yeah that’s what I’ve heard this was my first trip I waited until I heard of some fish and the weather got bad on the ocean to give it a try and as the water warms up bite it will get better.
You guys should learn about fin split. It's what happens when you net a halibut. That shaker you netted probably died. Why are you netting a fish that's borderline anyway? Get a rubber net or bring those little ones in by hand.
Wow another awesome video, you’re making me want to go fishing!!👍
Thank you
We Crab out of Lawson's. Guess I need to try my Luck for some Butts. Great video. Fish on !
