The Spanish release at El Corte Inglés was cancelled today… all of us who were able to get her got an e-mail and a refund explaining that the provider (MGA) said they have no stock and they had to cancel all the orders and now we don’t have the dolls we had already purchased 😢
Me and a Friend ordert there as well.. we are from germany and translated the website just to order.. we kinda knew this would happen but we still had hope. So so sad :(

Honestly I don't think the launch went wrong for anyone EXCEPT the Spain release. That was dirty. Everything else around the world was user error + limited supply. I got one because I followed the advice of the Bratz page and was prepared. Sometimes stuff is competitive! Spain, however, 👎 boooo bad MGA.

TBF about the Gretchen doll, Lacey Chabert is actually white, she was just heavily tanned when she filmed Mean Girls. So I can understand why her doll is pale

The reaction to the Cady doll has been so disproportionate its been a circus in the Bratz community 🤡 All the drama makes me never want these dolls at all. Im not even mad at MGA. im just over it lmao also hot take I think they will restocked after all the initial drops idc
I don't get why there are people who only collect Bratz dolls. They have been using the same face mold since the beginning. I would get bored with them for that reason. Also, the peg legs are creepy.
I only think theyll re-release her because of the backlash. If at all. Im annoyed at the way the company handled it. Zero accommodation for international fans, no safe guards for bots, They left everyone hanging for like 10 hours and wouldnt drop the shtick of "write it in the burn book besties 💋" to people with genuine concerns

The response undoubtedly has been too extreme. The way people attacked doll collectors for getting her, actual doll influencers getting PR, going way overboard to the company. Literally a hellscape.

I've ranted on this channel (and others) about Mattel Creations and their horrible releases. Putting a limited doll in your cart and as soon as going to check out, it says, Sold Out. Now MGA is doing the exact same to their fans. Both Mattel and MGA need to start listening to their fans. Kylie is on the Target website for $5, because no one wants her. Yet resellers have Mean Girls for $500? Know your audience and what they want guys. 🙄

Its weird that scalpers grabbing all their product was worth a "thank you!" message. Making something limited doesnt work in our modern culture, where everyone is trying to monitize anything they can.
There were only 100 listings and sold listings. Out of probably thousands and thousands of dolls it's weird to assume everyone did this to resell.
Like if you have a source that says all the buyers are resellers and scalpers I would love to see where everyone is getting this data from.

I had the same experience with the Hocus Pocus dolls: I was 2 minutes late to the drop on Mattel Creations and was able to add them to my cart, but as soon as I tried to check out, I got the sold out message. :(

Gratchen is white, but definitely she has a darker skin tone, don’t understand why they made her so pale.
Also it seems like some people just cannot comprehend that some white people can have a natural darker skin tone, for example Alessia Cara is white but many people assumed she was Latina or biracial, when in reality she is just from southern Italy lol

It does annoy me, ive had issues with the item in my basket going out of stock on both Mattel creations and shop Disney recently. I understand why places like Mattel creations exist and I'm not mad about it as it ever so slightly improves your chances of getting a doll as you have to be a member but there are some dolls on there that should be openly available for anyone to buy. They don't all need to be Mattel creations exclusives imo and some of them don't deserve that exclusivity because they're cheap and nasty 😂. I'm surprised that these mean girls dolls weren't a standard release. What a huge L.
As xennials I have absolutely no interest in Kylie Jenner, I would absolutely love a Mean Girls Dolls. The Colour Reveal Barbie's are cheesy. They need to do another release of Totally Hair Barbie's from 1992. I love the 35th Anniversary Ariel. I don't like the Hocus Pocus Dolls 😢
The Avery doll is the EXACT same doll as the last RH Avery, even the same wigs too, the only difference is them swapping out the other clothes Avery came with before with all of the fashion packs. I'm still not sure if that was a brilliant choice or a desperate one made with fashion packs that weren't selling XD

The current Barbie face doesn’t work with the styles, bc the face was designed to be „bland Barbie“, basically. They should FINALLY bring the superstar facemold back. You could easily make that a lil bit younger, and there u have it

I am SO sick of these companies pulling this artificial scarcity nonsense...they have more than enough resources to make dolls for every fan who wants one, and they make ZERO extra profit off resellers marking up 1000%!
Just set it up as a preorder in a specific timeframe (say a week) which allows both for FOMO AND all collectors who want the doll to get one! They'll make way more profit and goodwill that way.
Im boycotting MGA. If I didnt get Cady whats the point of getting the rest. They all line up to make the words burn book with their boxes.

I wish the delux style barbie with the prosthetic leg had a better shaped dress/ruffles, she looks a little disjointed. I actually didnt like delux Barbie's (blond Barbie's) dress, purely becsuse of the t shirt underneath, i love the silhouette of the pink puff skirt but rhe white short makes her upper body look strange, idk maybe the designers felt it was too imodest so added the shirt, im assuming the shirt is attached to the dress. I agree with you on the pink haired one - the gloves and the shoes are too clunky and random. The braids barbie is the best one, she was kept simple and clean looking - the others were too complicated.
Meanwhile all the scalpers have her lol, they are not selling it to their fans but scalpers. I’m not collecting Bratz again, as soon they bring something actually worthy of buying they are very limited. I don’t see any good bratz dolls coming out and I rather just buy the original dolls. I hate to say this but Bratz will fall if they don’t meet the demands of their fans. Other than the Hayden Williams and the Felicia dolls every other doll Bratz released isn’t that exciting and pretty much boring
