I don’t understand how we can even take on the witness. That opening scene of lightfall shows that the witness just needs to raise one finger and us and our ghosts are instantly shredded to pieces. Why doesn’t he do this now?
At this point it's already wounded from the campaign boss fight, and the Traveler has been trying its best to fight back against it, even undoing its attempts at the final shape in the first cutscenes of the campaign. If the Traveler was capable of un-final-shaping the earth, it could probably have been nerfing the Witness in this boss fight? Oh and the wipe timer is also called Final Shape, so during this fight the Witness is multitasking trying to make the Final Shape happen, with the Traveler resisting that too. So on top of being wounded and nerfed by a god ball, it's also distracted to hell
