I saw this in 1987 with this exact cast, and it was just amazing, the standing ovation went on for ages. We all had tears rolling down our faces. Just Amazing to see live.
Yes, the original cast. I saw it two times in a row in Wolverhampton (England) in 1989. Con O'Neill (Mickey) won the Olivier award. I saw him last week (22 years later?!) in Manchester in Arthur Miller's View from the Bridge - he was great in that too. The songs are so memorable - and Kiki Dee has a lovely voice.
Sammy: you're dead you know you are a shot you standing near the car Linda: but when you did his hands were hid behind his back his fingers crossed so hes not Mickey: so you fuck off always gets me XD
2:04 Mickey: “I don’t want to die!” People who are watching the production for the first time: “It’s okay Mickey” People who have seen the production before: “😢😢😭😭😭”
This is such a treat, thank you! Is this the original cast? I didn't get to see it until 1993 in America, with the Cassidy brothers......but these two actors are fantastic.
It's more fun if u do it for drama...for English i'm doing Macbeth, Macbeth is a great play but I would LOVE to do blood brothers for English as well as drama
Thank you for posting all these videos! I've saw the musical and it's amazing but I love this version so much! These videos are also really helpful for me as my drama group is doing BB and I'm Linda, very helpful and good to watch for a laugh or cry. This cast is amazing! Thanks so much for posting! :)
well to some extent i do agree with you. But i see him more as a symbol or representer of cruel destiny which cannot be avoided no matter where you hide. However the way that the actor plays, always sends chills down my spine, especially during the song, that is why he is my favorite character
Back in Victorian times, when someone died, they would be taken home before the funeral and the family would dress them in new clothes and shoes. It became superstition that if you put new shoes on the table, it would be inviting death in to the house.
The narrator of this and miss jones and maria i know im doing the pantomime at harrogate theatre with them phil stewart the narrtor is the bad guy and katy dean miss jones is jack and the panto is jack and the bean stalk
This was my favourite play in GCSE Drama, especially because we could get away with swearing in front of teachers and they couldn't say nothing 😂😂
