@Karl NG depends what you consider fair, its a subjective definition, it is certainly equal as there is a perfect balance for crime and punishment in that sense. However it depends on your morals. Less liberal countries have this approach. Countries like Saudi Arabia have this type of system where if you steal you have your hand cut off and in America in some states has the death penalty. Issue is if they were wrongly convicted it is impossible to compensate for. They use an eye for an eye and for some people killing a murder is fair and just, depends what you believe to be right and wrong
Biblical justice is not what we do now. We have grown as humans. This is why religion should never be included in any discussion of "fairness". NO religion is "fair". Or even right.
This would be retributive justice, basically an eye for an eye type of way. Procedural justice focuses more on the person rather than their case. It is placed in a way to solidify the legitimacy of the justice system.

It is not about justice, it is about money, why do you think they charge you instead of sentencing you? The charge you with commercial crimes.
